spikedpunk if those 122 in wb AM cars would have been promoted right perhaps they would still be around. . The "Nashes" had such a terrible prejudice working against them.
Yellow.....come to think of it I would take an Ambassador in any color......
lovely wagon. personally I thought that one of the nicest cars on the roas at the time was the 1969-1974 Ambassador Wagon with the 360 4V , in metallic green. You saw a a lot of them in Canada where I lived at the time.
@bonsema1 They were very nice, they had a nice roof line and side styling to them. I can picture the combo you are mentioning. I have memories of one, a 1970 offering purchased for $92 in 1979 by CORVAIRWILD - it was yellow in color - it had a 360 - 2V, and it flew, and also had the brakes fail. But that is another story!
@spikedpunk My 1966 Rambler Classic was a 327-V8 with Flash-A-Matic, Road Control Power Steering, Safe-Command Power Brakes, All-Season Air Conditioning (with the desert-only setting), Weather Eye, All Transitor Push-Button radio, Air Liner Reclining Seats, retractable front seat belts, tu-tone paint (Cresent Green with a metallic Granada Green top). Beautiful car. Fast. Comfortable. Not so good on gas, though!
@IstvanN1961 It sounds like it was a very nice car, with lots of desirable options. Please see the 1967 Marlin on my channel. That car sounds so much like your old car except in color. And it does not too good on gas. The transmission is a lump, it is a car that would really benefit with an overdrive, as would have yours. The torque tube on it would have made it a little more difficult to fit in. The '67 Marlin has an 'open' drive line at least. Thanks for sharing!
Hopefully you can restore it to the same condition in the future. The bodies of these cars were very well made, and the support for them is growing all the time.
wagon's are rare not lot of them in mint cond. its a 65 classic 770 note the factory headrest there where opt. since about 1956 they amc/rambler was the first sw to have roll down tailgate window 1956 4dr hdtp sw 1956
Thanks for the info here, it helps to spread and enlighten those interested in the history and facts of AMC. Kudos for pointing out the little details, always important!

You are welcome Kevin. Not every car shown has to be some insane 1/4 miler or doing a burnout! Old cars can be appreciated in many ways!

all depends on how you look at them!
