hey when i debrand my phone and after that i insert sim and switch on it says' insert correct smartchip'.......what does it mean?????and after that i go to phone shop it says the sim connector is damaged......please help me......

You are not giving us enough details in this video. I don't know whether I need to hold the 2 key, place the battery, connect USB and continue holding the 2 key or to let the 2 key go after I connect everything. Nothin is happening, I've tried 6 times, trying to follow your directions as closely as possible.

I was using this phone unlocked on T-Mobile but after this whole process, I believe the phone is locked to AT&T again. When i turn on the phone at the end, it tells me to insert the correct smartchip.

You need a branded firmware and custom pack if you want internet or the use of the side volume controls. Go to seusers do t com if you want any of the firmwares. Edit custom.xml in the tpa folder before flashing if you want to manually debrand. It's very easy to figure out how to turn things on and off.

Thanks. I followed your guide and it worked as advertised. However, my internet settings are not correct. The settings it auto detects are incorrect. I'm on AT&T. Did you have similar problems? Do you happen to know the correct settings? ATT's website pretty much says the settings should be there already and locked, so there is no reason to tell you.

why does it still show at&t label when starting the phone at the end? Also my w350a does not have the trackID application, if i debrand it with the custom firmware shown in the video will it be available then? Lastly, will debranding let me use mp3s as ring tones?

Bleh. I keep getting the Found New Hardware wizard, even though after I click cancel on it the connection works fine (during normal use). But I think that messes with what FAR's looking for..

Also, the phone only turns on/connects after FAR errors out due to timeexceed. Zz.
