i shoulder had my first fight by now but i don't have the money is hard to get a job thats what make me so mad.thats when people say keep on trying but things never get better.
i always had a goal and a dream and one day i was in class and i said i wanna go to the 2012 golden gloves my classmates would tease me and laugh at me what hurt the most was even my teacher would laugh so i told them "just because you cant do something yourselves you guys wanna tell me i cant do something" this has been a dream of mine so im gonna protect it even though i hear "cant".i sacrificed so much. WAKING UP AT 4 AM ON A SCHOOL DAY WILL PAY OFF ONE DAY I JUST KNOW IT
That trainer was annoying as fuck. He's on some morgan freeman i think im holier than thou type shit. He probably failed as a fighter so he lives his dream through his students.
NOT TO BE RUDE or anything, respect to the trainer and the kid,
BUT
HOW THE FUCK DID HE WIN?? -Okay we didnt see the full match but then again he appears quite weak to me, like im 16 and im more "strong " then him, i just wonder how he got there
@AMVShippu Clearly you've never boxed, or fought a trained person in general. Should find a local jiujitsu club and show up for a class. An hour or so of getting tapped of out struck by people smaller than you would be a great answer.
i wanted to be a boxer, i started when i was 15, but now i dont want to anymore, i trained at eagle boxing in atlanta goegia for a year and a half, now i am 17, i've quit. the thing was i wasn't good at it, i mean i had a good trainer, he has trained over 11 world champions. but the problems i had was keeping my hands up and using head movement, during sparring i would get hit a lot and i throw puches like a bitch. i quess boxing aint ma thing, but it would of been cool to be a boxer.
Out of context: One man hugging another while saying, "Don't worry about it. Just do your thing. Get yourself centered. Don't think hard, just respond. Don't think. Let it come."
I fought in the 1976 to 81 when the gloves were so much more popular. They did not wear head gear then and was much more exciting. This was when Dick Mcgurie was head referee. Only thing I hated was the fact that it was fixed and they played favortism towards certain fighters..Closest I could get was semi finals of 160 open and 165 open in 77 and 80
im 22 and im goin into golden gloves for my 1st time. i will break peoples bodies, not like these pussy ass boxers doin nothin. im goin to give boxing the entertainment it truly needs. Look out for me chicago
oh damn your lucky bro i want to fight a lower weight class lol im walkin around 163lb so ill be fighting at 165lb but ya goodluck to ya bro its gonna crazy only like what 5 fuckin days left lol
Ive coached and done the corner work for over 100 amateur bouts. I still get mad nerves and stomach all in knots before one of my kids bouts. sometimes worse then them.
@tscharf75 Sure - black people fighting or playing basketball. A great role model would be black people reading or studying. Where will this kid be 5 years from now. I am not saying boxing is bad I am just saying we need much more than this.
this gives me memories, that nervous feeling before getting into the ring is impossible to describe, Its really uncomfortable but still amazing, and you feel good
yeah man definatly, i find myself thinking why am i even doing this then once i get in. Im like thats why i do it, win or lose such a good feeling just getting in there in the first place.
yeaaaah man thats it exactly. the worst though is when you're sitting with your hands wrapped waiting to go out and fight and you're so nervous you can't take it then you go out there and just do your thing. win or lose theres no greater high than after the fight
as long as you get in tha ring no one can say shit ya man enuth to go thru tha hard yards erly morning runs session after session of sparing good for tha champ and tha choch for being there my coz is my trainer and wouldent have it enny other way, when you bleed he bleeds when your down his down when you WIN YOU START TRAINING AGAIN!!!!! LOL THATS THA WHAY IT IS
i got nervous just watching this lol. shit man hell of a nervous time right before a fight. especially when your getting your hands wrapped and your coch is going through your gameplan.
yup...the nerves going into a fight or even into a sparring session for me hurts more than actually getting hit lol...after a round or two i start to warm up and relax though..
@muratiksamarkandski Thats because your population allows itself to be controlled by a communist ass government! GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH! I think us Americans are the only people that get that, though.
Wow. I thought he was 12. It's great to see a kid working hard and succeeding at his dreams so early. Probably going to see him fighting for USA in 2012.
nahh acually bench just shows if you acually got muscled or not. . . the first half is ur pecs, and since we talkin about boxing. the second half(when you are half way up) is all tri and shoulders, thats where the power comes in with the punching sooo
ohkay if you get punched in the face by someone who can bnch 100 pounds max versus someone who can benche 250 pounds... you will feel the diference in their "confidence"
manny pac could probaly barely bench 185 and i bet he hits harder than any body that benchs 300. benching is nice for someone that just walks around a weight room and stares at himself in the mirror for 2 hours flexing his pecs but he steps in the ring bench doesnt mean shit the only bench that is any good is incline becuase is works your shoulders and tris. only weight lifted for power should be leg workouts because inboxing you generate most of ur power from the floor
not kinetic energy. yes in a way but momentum. lol power is about coservation of momentum which is mass times velocity. so bigger the mass and faster, greater he momentum which is conserved from the leg to the end of fist. leg is heavier than the fist. and becaus momentum is conserved, the speed increase when fist flies out
good points...Pacman be droppin muscleheads! careful workin legs too much. muscles get denser and heavier and its hard to maintain weight. 2 miles a day and lots of sprints. goodluck future champ
thats how i know you either never boxed or you never boxed anyone who can box.. cause your not humble.. and most boxers know talk is cheap.. specially on youtube of all places..
i agree...this kids are doing somthing special!....they have a passion and it takes a great amount of dedication to do wwhat they do...more power to em' and for you keyboard critics...fuck it who cares what you say anyway.
BTc you sure you used to box? First off if you fight novice in the golden gloves you dont have to go straight to open after that. Second if your an orthodox fighter and your fighting a southpaw your supposed to go to your left not right.
It does if you know what you're doing. Most Southpaws keep their front foot outside of their opponents and often dictate pace. I've fought 2 Southpaws in the amatuers. The Second was Canadian amatuer champion and he KO'd my ass. If you fight orthox keep moving to your right and keep the jab in your opponents face.

Hmmm then I was wrong, this is only what i've heard "they stick beginners with beginners" an such. Hmm, how much is the pay for a fiht if I were to go national in boxing?
Nope, once you fight G.G. you're automatically open. I boxed G.G. in my 7th fight and beat a fighter with 19 fights. Amatuer fighters can't earn any cash or monitary funds for amatuer fights. They fight for the love of the sport and to represent their city, state, country, team and that's it. Fighters only get paid in the pros.
Cool. I fought amatuer for Canada in the U.S.A two times. I fought a Mexican kid from California and a white dude from Seattle in the amatuers. The U.S.A. got many good fighters. I also fought boxers from England and Wales. All the best man.
When I got on the Canadian National Team I got a small monthly allowance of money called a stipend. As far as endorsements from sponsors I think it happens once a fighter wins an Olympic gold medal. Lets say, for example, gold medalist Oscar Dela Hoya was doing Wheaties commercials and he's still an amateur fighter. Oscar gets paid for the commercial but can't take money for fighting at a Wheaties sponsored tournament. I hope I answered your question.
You lie, he was never 125lbs. as amatter of fact he's still not 125lbs..... If you're going to lie read about him first and get it right. He's smashin up things at, "119lbs."
A this dude is a scrub. I'm 15 and I box myself, this is a overhyped fighter and I dont even see how he made it to the Golden Gloves Tournament. He has no speed and no power. I will smash this guy in the first round. Real Shit.
Your one stupid fucker, you dont have to make it into the tournament. You just have to pay an entry fee. And what hype? It said he was a novice so he has under ten fights, I dont think people were hyping him at all.
obviously you don't realize that the golden gloves is about scoring points and not really about knockouts. ko's are not often in the golden gloves. And your gay "ass ramming time" fantasy is just disturbing. Get a life.
thanks for the compliment! schavez is a *fantastic* kid and we're rooting for him all the way! and his caring, demanding, and principled coach? that's a coach i'd fight for, no question...
he sounds like a pedofile

Cool. I fought amatuer for Canada in the U.S.A two times. I fought a Mexican kid from California and a white dude from Seattle in the amatuers. The U.S.A. got many good fighters. I also fought boxers from England and Wales. All the best man.

cant they earn money off of sponsours??
5987974 4 years ago
When I got on the Canadian National Team I got a small monthly allowance of money called a stipend. As far as endorsements from sponsors I think it happens once a fighter wins an Olympic gold medal. Lets say, for example, gold medalist Oscar Dela Hoya was doing Wheaties commercials and he's still an amateur fighter. Oscar gets paid for the commercial but can't take money for fighting at a Wheaties sponsored tournament. I hope I answered your question.

Coach seems nice enough, but I can't help but think he's a bit like Don King. The kid makes it big, and steals all his money?

he is not 5'9. i boxed him when he was 15 i was 5'6 at the time and we were in the 125 division. looks like he cut some weight.

A this dude is a scrub. I'm 15 and I box myself, this is a overhyped fighter and I dont even see how he made it to the Golden Gloves Tournament. He has no speed and no power. I will smash this guy in the first round. Real Shit.

stop talking, nobody knows you bitch ass mother fucker, internet thug hating faggot.
obietrice1 4 years ago
Your one stupid fucker, you dont have to make it into the tournament. You just have to pay an entry fee. And what hype? It said he was a novice so he has under ten fights, I dont think people were hyping him at all.
WHY DONT YOU POST A VIDEO OF YOU BOXING?????

obviously you don't realize that the golden gloves is about scoring points and not really about knockouts. ko's are not often in the golden gloves. And your gay "ass ramming time" fantasy is just disturbing. Get a life.
Anyway. Good work, presspass
