hey to all PC buffs out there need some help, i spent a few hundred quid on a gaming machine heres my rough specs:

ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series with cross fire

Windows 7 Home Premium

i5 quad core

ASRock P55 Pro Bus Clock: 133 megahertz

direct x 11

now when i try to run EFLC even with both graphics cards on and maxed out and in lowest settings its lagging like a bitch is my computer not good enough, i can run mwf2 full spec no problem and just cause 2 full spec no problem all help is appreciated

it gets hot enough that i can touch for less than a second the back of the graphic card, it's too hot to hold finger there, the results on benchmark is cpu usage around 70% video memory fairly low, system memory usage low too, i forgot fps, settings are not as high as on this video, but at any settings that i set it, enen at low settings, it is lagging

i recently bought system with core i5, gtx 480, 8 gig ddr3, and i play gta eflc, and the picture is great, but i got two problems, no.1 is that im really worried for my gtx card couse it gets very hot, hotter than any electronic device should get, 2nd problem is that the game laggs a little bit, and i really don't know why it is lagging, is it because core i5 isn't good enough for gaming? does anybody know?

it is not overclocked at all, and i don't know how hot it gets, but right from the begining of playing it is lagging the same as in the middle

@Fuice1 no, I bought two other games, the metro 2033 amd alien vs predator, and both of them use steam network to install and to play the game, but this god damn steam creating big problems for me, the game isn't installing because of an unknown steam problem, this pisses me off so much, i basically wasted my money on those games and every new game uses steam, i have to find a way to resolve this issue. I HATE STEAM, KILL STEAM, GET THEM OFF THE NEW GAMES. STEAM MAKE ME UNABLE TO PLEY GAMES...

@Fuice1 my advise is that u get a 4 way sli gtx 480 superclocked, and core i7extreme, and basically the best computer u can possibly buy, that's the only way to be sure that theres going to be a smooth hd gaming going on

@oakomerali The thing that is going to hold your performance back is the graphics card (like me), but your card is sligtly better than mine, and I can play GTA IV on nice settings @ 1440x900, not sure if you can max it out, but everything on very high without AA maybe works out. I don't really know. :)

I setted up the GTA IV graphics settings like you. Then I started GTA IV benchmark test. I got 62 FPS. but my screen resolution is 1280x1024. OS is win7 ultimate x64. I think your average fps is so poor.

Remember this is with Fraps recording it. 43 avg without fraps and if I set everything to medium i get stable 70+ FPS :D

Depends on your CPU. If you don't have quad-core I think the CPU will bottleneck your graphics card wich means you can't use all of the power ^^

You need to create a text-file in the GTA folder with a few rows of text... Just google "GTA IV norestrictions" and I'm sure you'll find how to do it ;)

No, the GTS250 is not the fastest except from the GT300-series :P The GTS250 is slightly faster than the HD4850 (According to tomshardware in 3dmark06), wich isn't really close to the fastest GPUs nowadays..

well.., I don't know any better board in that price range, but if you add about 20 dollars more on your budget, you can get the MSI P55-GD80 which I think is better..., and if you reduce 20 dollars from your budget you can get the GA-P55A-UD3P ( which I think is better on price / performance )

oh man... as you said on another video (you might remember me...), you got an 4850 and you said it is almost the same as a 9800gtx+. i have to say i think it is wrong. the gtx200 series goes on the same boat as the 4900 and 5000 ati series. my video card has presented as much performance as a 4870 single chip. and just to count... i am not a nvidia fanboy, there as benchmarks that comprove what i am saying. @video: thanks, but it didn't answered my doubts of performance x.X

Small correction, but neither 9800GTX nor 9800GTX+ (55nm version of 9800GTX with ~10% higher core speed) nor GTS250 (renamed 9800GTX+) are from GT200 family! They all use old G92 core, which is very similar to G80 in terms of performance. What is more, the difference between HD5000 and HD4000 is so big, that they simply cannot be compared. HD5870 beats HD4890 by 46%!

Make a text document (In GTA IV directory) and name it commandline.. Write this into it: -width 512 -height 300 -availablevidmem 2.0 -nomemrestrictions -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100

Make space before -width 512... And it fixes all missing textures, speed up the game..=DD

If u want to make the game faster download patch 1.0.2.0. or better..

Download DirectX 10.1 if u don't have it.. Download Catalyst 9.9..

What do you mean about commandline? I did use the comments after the shortcut, if that's what you mean. As you can see the memory exceeds the limit by quite a lot and it's still smooth :P I'm gonna try to patch it up aswell!
