hey there i was discussing on other comments about the dbz saiyan aura you see around youtube like the power up aura that glows around saiyans yes im glad people like you are giving instruction on how it's done but i've have a question for you do you knwo anythign on how to do the saiyan aura?

yes i do. basically you need adobe after effects and a particle generator like trapcode's particular (i recommend). i think adobe after effects 7.0 comes with a particle generator that will work just fine.

basically i set keyframes for the source point and had it follow the circular part of my energy ball. that's really all you have to animate. i suggest just playing around with the other settings until you get a color and look you like. oh yeah, i set the color to one color and of course made mine blue. but you can make it whatever color you want.

i did everything in adobe after effects.  you can download the demo online and use it for like 30 days or something.

man, i used one of the FINAL EFFECTS plugin generator.

it's nice for you to have many particle plugins, they work very randomly, so sometimes it's hard to get the thing you want, and having more of them, it's more chance that you will accidentally getting what you want.

and that's why i saved it, maybe in the future, i can use it for something nice.

i actually didn't use any plugins for this effect. well, i used trapcode shine, but not for anything that can be done in after effects already. trapcode shine just reduces the number of steps.
