  • Respect ! Great ! Great ! Very nice interpretation ! Many greetings and best wishes!

  • Grande maestro !!!

  • Wonderful, round and full tone. Beautiful!

  • ...I have been playing this song far too slow. O_o

  • Beautiful. Thank you for posting this.

  • One of my favourite pieces of music and you play it so well,

  • The only lute version of this Alman (Alemain) on YouTube is played 'way too fast for my liking. By contrast, there are many guitar versions of the Alman on YouTube--this is the one I like best (it's most similar to the recording I have at home of Julian Bream playing the piece on the lute).

    Abr

    Daniel Mesquita ( Brasil )

  • Indeed one of the most perfect interpretations of anything on the Spanish guitar. Way cool!

  • omg why is this my grade 6 peice? its so hard O.O

    Nice playing though (Y)

  • I am playing this in my Classical Guitar class......beatiful piece

  • this is the best one on youtube. your really good man.

  • congratulations!! very nice, master! I hope you like the video response that I sent him

    From Argentina, chau!

  • Hey, what intonation are you in?

  • I like the subtle change of tone for the voices of the repeated phrases at bars 5 & 6 and 13 & 14 the guitar can do this with a bit of technique ....well played Peo.

  • You are VERY talented! You have a new subscriber!

  • Me too! It's a reat tune. Thanks for increasing the number of views and comments on my music!

  • maybe a little fast,don't you think? it's really nice,by the way.

  • you are great!!!!i love this song,i also play it..good job

  • Hi! Thanks a lot! I am happy to hear you play this too! Good luck!

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • I didn't know there was another Robert Johnson (apart from 1911-1938 bluesman).

Unfortunately an error occurs in this video (only this one) and I can't view this.

  • Very Nice 5*****

  • two thumbs up!

  • Thanks for that!!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • perfect............!!!

  • Thanks a lot. Appreciated.

    Peo

    Peo

  • I saw your website.

Some Tab need to pay money to by it. :(

    It is not good.

  • Well, not everything on the Internet is for free! I have worked a lot making them. Both arranging them, typing them into Tab. And not the least: I have studied music all my life to be able to do it. Why shouldn't I get paid for it if someone want to have it?? Isn't that fair? Are you working for free? You can listen to me here for free. You don't have to pay for my CD or my Tabs.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • well said sir, some people are so ungrateful

  • :-) thanks. Appreciated.

    Per-Olov

  • LOL. Lägg bara upp den du också!

    per

  • do you know where i can find this in french lute tab?

  • No, I am sorry, I don't know that...

    Per-Olov

  • very fluid, love this piece.

  • You play beautifully... and so, so clean!

  • You replied very kindly to my previous comment on this vid.Said grandson(now aged 11) and I are now working on the piece, having just finished "Hesitation Blues".In Noad's transcription a 7th fret A (3rd finger)is sustained during the first 4 notes of the little descending scale-run in the 3rd bar of the last two variatons, whereas you appear to be holding-down a 5th fret C.Have I guessed correctly? There is no dissonance, and yours seems to be an easier option.

  • Hi! I couldn't play this when I was 11 so i am impressed.

I don't know Noad's transcription but you are right. I hold the C. I think you should do what you think sounds best (not the easiest solution!!) Always go after the best-sounding solution. If you think they are both good, stick to the easy one.

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • easiest option is the best

  • i don't think almains were played that fast until the Baroque period, when they didn't dance to them no more.

I wouldn't want to dance to this with all the layers of clothing I'd have back then.

    :)

  • Skitsnyggt! Bra jobbat!

  • Tack ska du ha! Hoppas du lyckas med en. Lycka till! Per-Olov

  • very good played.

i also can play that song but not good like you. =)

    keep play.

  • Thank you. I will! And you too!!

    Per-Olov

  • Great stuff as always,Peo.Seems to be the same Alman as in Noad's "Renaissance Guitar". My 10 year old grandson and I are already fans of the other R.J.(and of yourself),and I think we'll have a bash at this one.Which crossroads did this Robert visit before writing the piece?Hope that it was near Bolton Lancashire.

  • Thank you! Yes, Noad has this too in his book. A nice little piece. I guess you live in Bolton Lancashire? :-) I hope he passed there!

    Good luck with your playing!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • very good! I had never heard this song either until now...

  • Hi Liran. I was cute once! Not any more though.. :)

Yes, Johnson from 1600 something is a very nice composer.

it's nice to actually hear how it is suppose to sound

  • VERY nice! This is one of my favorite pieces to play, but seeing what a great job you do with it I'm just going to have to play it a little more often to brush up!

    Great job!

  • When I hear this music I just daydream and imagine myself in the great landscapes of the past, the ballrooms with people dressed in Baroque style, dancing and smiling.. the sun shinging through huge windows.. wauw!

  • WOW! Thank you for that picture! Nice... I wish I were there :-)

    Peo

    Regards,

    Peo

  • Excellent! You play with a lot of feelings I love that!

  • Just wonderful. We're fortunate to be able to see and hear classical guitar played with such complete mastery. Music like this comes from within and it sings thru Peo's guitar like it's his inner voice. Thank you for sharing yourself with us, Peo :)

    -john
