  • people are dumb as fuck. you all are fat as fuck. thats jealousy right there all those hate comments.

  • Have you slammed your stem?

  • you are riding a bike. there, i have critiqued.

  • Hahahaha oh man why on earth are you wearing a helmet?

  • @atalayapark

I wish you idiots would stop asking this question. Notice how the helmet is tapered, and continues rearward towards the upper portion of his back? Do you see how this would serve to restrict the range of motion his head has? I assume he's trying to replicate actual riding conditions. If he were practicing WITHOUT his aero helmet, he may not be able to recreate the position his head would actually be at during a ride. It's about fit and consistency.

  • @opmike343 Jesus christ calm down man, you're riding a bike, not flying a plane. So serious XD

  • he is wearing a helmet to check his aero helmet fit in with the curve in his back, it is a lot more aerodynamic having the edge run flush to your back, so he is checking it.. simple...

The position looks good straight up, perhaps the saddle is a bit high, but your arms are at 90 degrees and the body is solid so if this is comfortable it looks good, but you will never know on a stationary trainer, you need to get out there and see how the different positions affect your times and what works.

  • Fit looks kind of weird?

  • lmfao...faggot

  • @pumpkinzer0 Watch out for Auguste10, dude emailed me asking about you. I think he wants to suck your cock.

  • Your bothered

  • He is afraid that he might fall over sideways, haha,im mean SAFTY FIRST.......right??

  • hhhhaaaaaahhahahahahahaha what a douche, ur position looks like dick!!!

  • I think you put a bit more into your right pedal downstroke than your left, so try and work on making sure that the pedal stoke isn't just left right left right left right, and try and make it a more fluid movement so pull back and up on the pedals in anticipation.

  • Nice helmet. I assume you are wearing it so that then you can get a feel for the best position to reduce drag?

  • аХА Ха =) Без шлема велосипед даже дома не идет...

  • safty first :o)

  • that thing he hes for hit bike what is it called?

  • Haha to all the helmet comments.

  • HAHA

  • man whats with the helmet?

  • So when you're seating, does your butt cover the whole saddle? Are you're TSTCLES on the saddle, or are you slightly infront a bit?

  • didnt know there was wind inside his livingroom all he needs now are sunglasses

  • Whats with the helmet?

  • have u ever seen or competed in a time trial?

  • @Geepnut time trial helmets look like that

  • @sardo97 i think he means why is he wearing it. =D

  • He's wearing it because he left the window open and the helmet helps him cut through the wind. Duh

  • @hazey55

    lol =D

  • You look like you may not be high enough. I have read that your knee angle (at most extended point) should be ~150 degrees. Yours is only ~140 degrees.

  • @sheber123 its only supposed to bend through 10-20 ratio.. he is fine

  • whoa my bad. did you take a screen shot and measure it out? (serious question)

  • Very aggressive position! I don't have the flexibility to be that low

  • It looks good to me.

At first I though the saddle was to high and you had too much weight forward. however, more weight forward is normal for a time trial position.

About the "flattening the foot" that is supposed to allow more power transfer but I think that the position you have shown here allows for effective cadence with a smooth circular motion and maximizing the advantage of your cleats for this pedaling technique.

  • why are you wearing a helmet inside?

  • not aero enough, tuck in tighter!!! maybe you should wear a spoiler on your back lol

  • Ok i personally think its great, a couple of things include leveling your feet , your saddle height is dead on for an even stroke and perfect cadence..

  • flatten your feet on the downstroke

  • why is he retarded?

  • How about you go outside

  • how about the cold and snow if u live in like me in canada. during winter time no other option except indoor biking which it sucks and too boring

  • Saddle's too high

  • Looks strong man, keep it up

  • mate, ditch the turbo and get on the rollers; it's the only way to sort your setup properly and you'll be able to feel when it's spot on.

  • I love how nobody is perfect! 1,000 fucking differences. Wait, your shelf books don't match? If you match them your position would be better...LOL

  • why r u wearing a helmet indoors on a trainer and aero to boot fucken dumb

  • you're an idiot...

  • hahah ok but ur wearing a helmet indoors ass lick

  • yeah probably because helmet position is pretty important in your aero position. But that's some mature name calling...

  • Heels down!

  • yeah you need to be pushing through your heels into the push, you get a lot more power.

  • I do agree, heels down!

  • nice cervelo my dad just got the p3

and im gettin a jevelin arcole

    both nice biikes

but m road bike is a felt

    FELT ALL THE WAY!

  • ride on rollers and then adjust your position. A trainer is fine for static testing of your position but you will never attempt a TT while mounted on your trainer... Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oh and yawn too... boring.

  • you're just too fat.

  • no u stupid people that commented before me saying his seat is to high its fine thats the way road/triathlon bikes r supposed to be hes in the arrow position thats why he so low the bars r fine and so is his position. nice bike by the way i want a cervelo but i dont have the money for one

  • hes bars are down to far. his thighs are coming to his stomach, therefore constricting breathing. trust me man, i know what im talking about.

  • your bars are down a little bit to far

  • lol your frame is too big

  • mate sorry to break this to you, but your bike is too big for you! need to go down one!

  • why are you asking us? why don't you go to a clinic or get a power meter to see what position allows you put to out the most power. your position is very aero, but if you can't put out the watts, it doesn't matter.

  • This dude is on a computrainer so will have a power reading and spin scan to evaluate his efficiency. He isn't dropping his heels which is a sign of his seat being too high. When his pedal is at 6 O'clock his knee joint should be flexed between 25-30 degrees. This avoids anterior and posterior knee strain.

  • need to put saddle down a bit

  • I've got to believe your seat height is WAY too high and/or your calves are massively tight... do some gastroc and soleus stretches, bro!!! Also, I like the idea of wearing the helmet (occasionally, not all the time)... good neck exercise, gets you used to the real thing.....

  • Helmet.

  • Your seat position is too far forward

  • Why the F is he wearing a helmet?

  • For the full effect

  • To get use to wearing a helmet. I sweat a lot so I have a tendency to comb my hair with my hand to wick away the sweat; it has become a bad habit as I can't do it when I'm riding with a helmet. :(

  • @emerson24 lmfao

  • @emerson24 He's wearing a helmet so people can check out his position. Your helmet is part of your position and keeping that line straight with your back is very important. He is not wearing it because he thinks he is going to fall.

  • @emerson24

to give an approximate position of his head. it's harder to see w/o the helmet.

  • @emerson24 safety first hahaha

  • LMAO!

  • @emerson24 because by wearing the helmet, it shows how aerodynamic you are with the helmet and if the position is straight, dumbass.

  • @Auguste10 So it takes a helmet on to illustrate how aerodynamic someone is? LOL OK. Second, just "how" aerodynamic is he? How are you going to give me this in a tangible data that I can see? The only dumb-ass is you sonny boy. Now, get on your knees and lick my boots you little subservient imbecile. I will teach you the meaning of respect, son. You will worship the ground I walk on, is that clear? What is your name, son! You will report to me every day. And you will call me MASTER!

  • @emerson24 precautionary...

  • @emerson24 Safety first. Duh.

  • @omgshootit Right, because it is so dangerous when you are stationary. Do you walk much? I bet you wear a helmet at work, going from one side of the office to the other?

  • try keeping your feet parallel to the floor XD it helps a lot 0.o

  • well, I would move the saddle back since your knee is not in line with the pedal axis when on 9-6 clock position. That would give you more power for TT.

  • 9-6?

  • Ups, I mean 9-3, with the cranks parallel to the floor.

  • lower thr seat a tad to reduce the bobing

  • actualy, raise it.

  • someone who wants to see their position so they can adjust it.

    pw3ed!

  • what are you doing watching bike videos? you obviously have no respect at all for cycling

  • I knew your profile was lying.. he's not 29!

  • I would suggest that he lower the seat. Then raise the stem up by stacking the headset. Though his position looks "good", for an IM distance, he's going to have big back discomfort. Agreed that the hips are rocking and to lower the seat. For neck and back comfort, raise the stem some. If only doing a sprint, then just lower the seat a tiny bit and leave the stem alone. For an IM, after 90 miles 'as is', you'll feel it in your back. It's not worth it to be that low for an IM.

  • Only thing I can say is your toes are pointing downward. It could either be technique .. but Im thinking you should lower the seat.

  • hes pulling whit hes leg more then whit the left..thats why the hips rocking

  • Hes wearing the helmet because he wants people to critique his form, that includes the helmets alignment with his body.

  • Your seat is about an inch too high at least. Watch your hips rocking, that is a dead giveaway. It goes all the way up your back. Don't touch the front, just drop the seat down 1 inch and maybe back 1/4 inch.

  • I think seat is ok, its a bad technic i guessing only

  • get a roller and do it there

  • If he does a lot of training indoors, then perhaps he's trying to replicate exactly how it will feel when he's outside/competing (presumably with a helmet).

  • Your gonna have a smelly carpet. The remarks about dropping your heels work for me too. Try filming yourself again and concentrate on how the power is translated at each point on the crank rotation. It makes sense to drop your heel but the power needs to go cyclicly. If you know what I mean.

  • I agree, and He needs to shave underarms.

  • lol why is he wearing a helmet indoors?

  • Probably to show that his position works well with the kind of helmet he intends to wear while riding outdoors.

  • Yes, drop the heel and therefore drop the seat too.

  • nice helmet are you gong to fall off lol

  • Nuuuuuuuuuh

  • when i wasent dropping my heals i was avraging around 33.8 for a 60km bike ride. now im avragind around 37km/h for a 60km ride.

  • drop your heels make your big muscles do the work. when your heels are up your working your calf muscles like crazy, when there droped u use ur quads moer HELPS A LOT. i had the same problem at least a 5km speed diffrence.

  • lower your seat a touch to help keep your heels down

  • Great form! One thing I'd pay attention to is your foot position while. It sounds small but if you think about the change in the foot frontal area doubling or tripling when you get your heel up, you can imagine why many athletes work on keeping their heel down (also for biomechanical reasons.)

  • After two years of riding I finally got it LOL! Yes you're right; heels down is the way to go ,I saved tons of energy that way and not emphasising on true round pedaling. My pedaling style is now punchier ala Vino. Cleat position is a lil behind the 1st metatarsal. Big big difference.

  • keep your heels down and you'll be fine...nice bike!

  • talk about toe pointing. You should do ballet.

  • wow cervelo nice! if u can hold a position like that the whole race you would win
