Hey like whatever you want, but only a few can actually "feel" it. And those of you who 'want' to feel it and those of you who disagree or wonder what I am speaking of will never know the feeling that I and others like me enjoy from this and almost all other Aesop poetry.
The teacher played this song in my Mass Media class. Sick ass song! If you don't like rap that's one thing, but if you don't respeect it you have no taste for good talent like this. People who don't respect rap for the musical poetry that it is have lost touch with open mindedness.
@TheMoTucker this isnt rap, its hiphop. u dont need a lot of talent to b a rapper, but u have to b awesome if u wanna b an MC. Aesop Rock is an MC, not a rapper.
"this isnt rap, its hiphop" -- if something has rapped lyrics (which it does), then it is rap music. Rap music and hip-hop aren't mutually exclusive. A song can be one, both or neither. In the case of Aesop Rock, it's both.
"u dont need a lot of talent to b a rapper" -- A rapper is someone who raps lyrics. Aesop Rock is a rapper. Aesop Rock has a lot of talent.
@fluppyXC ok, respect. you have seen the error in my ways. i am not impressed, but i am relieved that you are smart enough to know that what i said is actually dumb as fuck.
@fluppyXC thanks, i try to have humility on youtube so i dont spawn flamewars. but yea thanks for the props, and im actually not a moron, i just have a very specific opinion about music.
You can only reach this stage of lexical complexity if you read tons of books of the right kind and intelligently use creativity boosters( psychedelics ).
Whoah I know the song he sampled. It's called "Offering" and it's off an album called "Passages" by Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass. If you like this song, I suggest checking it out. It's one of my favorite
I understand that youtube does not permit live sports, television episodes and movies stream however, "stream episodes (DOT) net" allows it. I highly urge you fellas esp #VIDEOPOSTERID# to go investigate it!
I want to just hug this guy, since that's the only way I could let him know how much I appreciate his talent. It's not like I'm as talented as him and could make a rap for him lol
@elmexicantge How is the highest rated comment the one that completely misses the point of the song? He's not writing paranoid or "crazy shit", he's talking about the mindless people who sit in front of the TV and buy into all the bullshit.
The beat is by Blockhead, he has a bunch of stuff he did for Aesop released as instrumental, and a couple solo albums (also instrumental). Music by Cavelight is Blockhead solo, directing live musicians.
You may or may not already know that, but I thought I'd throw that out these, since I am a fan of both Aesop and Blockhead.
Why'd he have to disapear... keep rapping Aesop Rock... ur one of a kind BREH... dont leave us with lil wayne or ill og back 2 classical...
