Good but there is a little rythmic mistake in the melody, that you do several times. I would stay more on the A note ( the seconde note when the melody start after the intro)

@maximusthecockatiel It doesn't have to be in the original, in music when you take someone elses composed piece it is custom to add in your own part, as long as it fits. Many musicians do this, and actually the Black Mages theselves did it a few times, and remember that the Black Mages basically wrote the songs to begin with.

its not uematsu's fault, it was originally composed by uematsu, which is how it is in the game and OST, the piano collections is arranged by ... shiro hamaguchi i think his name is, so this version is by him not uematsu

Dude, actually he's probably got one of the best feels for the music that I've heard in a while especially for difficult it is. It's very jazzy, just pay attention to his right hand and bob your head along to it in 4 count and you'll hear that it's all in time, just doing a bit before or after the beat for some flamming kind of effect.

Also, on measure 11 (the measure after "A"), your right hand comes in early on beat two. You did it again the next time that lick comes in.

Not nessisarily. The piano, in different keys (this one seems higher than the on in the game video) or by using different pedals can illicit different emotions. I think it is mostly the piece that is being played on the piano. However, you are entitled to your opinion, as Music as an art form is very much interpretable.

The piano is not always an upbeat instrument. Moonlight is not an upbeat song. I understand there are other instruments involved in the game.... but I've heard the song played NOT upbeat. I prefer things in the context that I heard them though. That's just me.
