  • I'm having to post another comment, because I'm commenting AS I'm watching...LOL. I love that you mention how WRONG and unnatural sex with a man felt to you. I think a lot of straight people have a problem understanding that. Yet...if you ask THEM..."if you were to have sexual physical contact with someone of the same sex...how do you think that would feel to you?" Well of course, that would feel "wrong." But they don't understand it's the same for US.

  • Craziest thing about how easy this video was for me to relate to, is that I think I am a LOT older than you. I'm 47, so we grew up in different decades, and I thought things had improved. I'm seeing that's not so. I grew up gay in a strict Baptist home and had MANY of the same experiences as you. My first crush was when I was 9. I also had no language to describe my feelings. No one talked about this. I also TRIED (and even prayed ALL the time) to not be gay. "Like Me" by Chely Wright...read it.

  • you are so sweet!

I wish you two a lifetime of happiness:)

  • Good video

  • This is a really good video :). It really deserves more views. I am going to share this video with everyone I know.

  • Thanks!!!! ;-)

    I really appreciate it.

I am glad this video meant something to you

  • I don't know how I missed this video...thanks for sharing this :) I can't BELIVE how many of us have tried to kill ourselves over being gay...or have had thoughts about killing ourselves. Wow...

  • It is a hard thing to face.. knowing how much controversy your life is going to cause, how much disappointment your family will feel, how disgusted so many people in the public will be with you... ect.

Accepting it is one of the hardest things we ever have ot do..

  • Wow... *blush... Thanks!

  • very happy to hear that you have found your girl friend liz and that you are tuely happy now :D i wish you both the best always

  • Why, thank you so very much!

Yes, Liz is my everything. I adore her (which is why my username is Lizador...

We will be celebrating our 7 year annaversary this in a few weeks. I am excited.

  • Just as I said in the video, I had feelings for girls as far back as kindergarden, but I didn't know that those feelings had a "name".

Perhaps you should atch this video again? Your question is answered elaborately in it.

  • Brava!

It's amazing that you had these feelings as early as kindergarten, and that kindergarteners used the word dyke.

It's sad to me that Virginia is such a conservative state, considering that I never want to leave. I'm a little shamed that the Virginia Beach girl acted that way towards you. It is just so injust.

    Well, kudos to your happiness!

  • Thank you, and thanks for watching!

Yes, Virginia is a conservative state, but it was a fellow navy brat that acted that way towards me and I belive that she was originally from Texas... So don't feel too bad. lol

  • Iv heard story's like this one from more than one of my friends. But this is so well told and edited that it still has enormous impact.

Everybody should have the right to be themselves and in a fair and educated society sexuality would not be an issue.

The World is made up of People not Genders and the sooner everyone realises that the sooner we can all get on with living the lives we where meant to live.

Glad your life is good now but sad to here how hard things were.

    Take Care (((HUGS)))

  • You are right. There are a lot of people that have almost the same story to tell, and that is the saddest thing of all!

Cheers to you!! :-) I appriciate you watching my video, and I am glad it touched you.

  • Omg... This was really hard to watch. What aa painful story. Do you mind if I ask you what happened next? How are your parents about it? Your other family members?? It's just horrible what we go through trying to be straight. It's totally self abuse. I am sooooooooooo happy you came out of everything so wonderfully! I WANT MORE!!!

  • Maybe I should post an update or Part 2 or something..

I am glad you could relate to my story. I could definatly relate to yours!

COming out to my friends and family... that is a WHOLE different story! My dad completely flipped out on me (to put it briefly)

Yes.. I think I will post a Part 2 to this video. Give me a few days, though.. :-)

  • Good for you:)glad your finally happy!

  • Thank you! :-)

  • cool video! I really like this one, thanks for sharing! I've gone through the same experiences too, but now I'm still closeted, lolx^^

  • (((hugs)))

    Good luck to you!

  • You are officially my hero. Every word that you spoke in that video, I can relate to 100%. I have always been facinated and intrigued with the military, and now that I am old enough to possibly enter, I'm contemplating because I live a gay life. I am out and proud, but it definately puts a stress on what I want to persue in my life.

I absolutely love the fact that you posted this video. I know I'm not alone...

  • You're totally right. Being gay definatley makes any career decision you make WAY more complicated.

    What branch are you considering?

COngrats on being comfortable with yourself and being able to accept who you are. I am so happy for you. :-)

  • well done.....i grew up in the Navy
