It's originally pronounced Malik in the Japanese version, but since Japanese people have a difficult time pronouncing the 'L'; it turned out to sound like Marik.
This has got to be the best Yu-Gi-Oh AMV I've ever seen. Every scene matches the words to the song, and extra stars for using a Nightwish song. ;] They're such an awesome band and my favorite band of all time. The Pharaoh Sails to Orion is one of my favorite songs too, so extra stars for that. I've been waiting for years to see someone finally make a YGH video out of Nightwish's Pharaoh song.

Honestly, who the hell is Malik. I know of Marik, but there is no character named Malik. Even in the Japanese version.
