heres a tip, with the redken deep fuel, or with any of the redken extreme products, they are VERY high in protein, and the reason why it told you to only leave it in for 5-10 mins is because if you leave it in for too long it can actually revert your hair back and make it worse, and really dry. I would try to introduce some more moisturising treatments into your hair care routine, you need a healthy balance between moisture and protien. hope this helps xxx
I have a question! XD Okay, now I have bright blonde hair, and I just bought Joico's purple shampoo and conditioner. I just got pink hair put in with the blonde and I was wondering if the purple shampoo/conditioner is going to do anything funky with the pink <3 LOVE your hair! XD
I finally got a pic up,but u can't really see the blonde so much,so I dyed it myself. It looks better now. I will take pics of that.it actually shows up in pics.I really love yr color.I just have been dark colored so long.I'm a dark blonde naturally.
okay i had 1 question my hair is black jet black i wanna blech my bangs and than dye it a semi cup cake pink how many times do i blech my hair? cause i dont wanna damage my hair
Hey Deana, How many Bottles of the 7th Stage do you use and how many packets of the activator TOTAL? I usually need two or three bottles for my hair so if I were to use 2 bottles, should I get 2 packets for each bottle or 3? My natural haircolor is almost black so I help that gives you an idea of how to help me? LOL ... sorry for being a pest ... I've just heard FANTASTIC things about the 7th Stage lightener and I really want to give it a try :o) Thanks hon! HUGS ~Krissy~
Hi, I just found your channel recently, and I love your videos now :)
With the Special effects dye, if you want a more lighter colour, what you can do is dilute it with conditioner. I have used the cupcake pink and diluted it 2 parts dye, one part conditioner and it gave me a really pretty pastel pink, it gets lighter the more it is diluted so maybe you want to try that sometime :)
i love love love the clairol 7th stage now!! my hair was very stubborn where i had the dark dye, but where i had my natural color, it lightened up my hair with no problem, and i have medium brown hair. i just want to thank you again, because i would have wound up just going and getting highlights and spending hundreds of dollars getting to blonde over a course of like 6 months
yes i should! it is most definitely nottttt your fault what so ever, it was just because of the dark dye. I'm just so happy and thankful you introduced these products to me though, made going back to blonde SO much easier. Now I'm just trying to get the softness back!
It might take a month or more using the Redkens to see the benefits. My hair is super soft.
I just started using the "It's a 10" leave in(instead of the Redkens leave in and the Chi heat protectant). It's suppose to be good for 10 different things. Can't really tell a difference, yet, but it's less products used.
Thanks for answering Deana. I used the same products to bleach my hair, and maybe next time I'll need three packets of the powder. I need to put a toner on it as it came out kind of brassy, but my hair is still in good condition. I'll have to experiment since everyones hair is different. You're right - you don't need a toner - your hair looks beautiful!
I used all of the same products as well, and had to bleach it more than once to get it to my desired color. Some hair colors and textures are stubborn and need to get bleached more than once. But I still wound up using a toner as well though.
I'm the one who bought all these products at Sally's and did the strand test, I died it again, a third time, and that's what really did it for me, it came out a beautiful blonde color, like yours. and it was still in fairly good shape too, i thought it would have felt like hay! so i'd have to color it 3 different times with that. i just think i'm gonna get it done at the salon, i'm too scared to do it myself!
Hi, I have used the Blonde Glam conditioner and I still use the Crystal Flash. I highly recommend you look at the KPak!!!! I have been using It's a 10 - as recommened by the lovely LisaLisaD1 - I am sure you will like that too. There are some great products out there. Also, KMS have a leave in product called moisture repair - its another one well worth having a look at. Lifes a Hair Doo !!! ;o)
i went to sallys and just used all of the products that you use to dye your blonde hair, i did the strand test. i used half a table spoon of each product on the strand for an hour, and it came out really brassy =/ but the woman at sallys said that it might be tricky, bc i died my hair dark brown a month ago, so i have that color there still. i'm gonna re-dye the strand tho again.
Hi Deana, I have been using the Redken Extreme too - I think it is a fabulous range. Have you used the any of the blonde glam range by Redken? I have been using the Crystal Flash - great product. I think you would also like the Joico KPak range too. I have been alternating between the two ranges. I also tried the Purelogy Hydrating shampoo - and I thought that was nice on my hair. Thanks for sharing your hair products and routine. :o)
No, I haven't tried the Blonde range. I have treid the Soft conditioner, but didn't really notice any difference. I use it on my 4 yr old daughter now;o)
I'll have to look into the KPak.
I just purchased a new product called It's a 10. It's a leave in product. I'll have to do a review in a few weeks:o)
so you have never experienced brassy-ness with the lightener products? if so, then that's amazing. it doesn't make your hair fall out or anything? nobody has told me about bleaching problems that don't melt your hair or make it bright orange! but your hair looks amazing! was that 7th stage stuff, the nice n easy born blonde? (sorry about all the questions, it's just the only thing that's gotten me to a NICE blonde was hundreds of dollars of highlighting)
No, my hair has never fallen out or burned off or broken off do to these dyes. The Redkens products help protect and enrich my hair, too.
Sally Beauty Supply is high quality salon products. It isn't something you can buy at Walmart in a box. My hairstylist made me promise her I would never touch a box of dye again. LOL
This can turn a golden blonde if your hair is very hard to dye. My sister needs 3 of the activators. I only need 2 and it doesn't turn brassy at all. It's great!
oh my gosh, that's so awesome! i'll give myself the strand test with it, cause i've developed such a phobia from bad hair results! thank you so much! I've been one of the people requesting this forever because your hair is gorgeous. one more question! what is your natural hair color? (That makes such a huge difference with hair color results)
I completely understand. I remember hearing horror stories in high school of friends dyeing their hair. Then having to run to the store and buy more only to have their hair break off! Ack! Just remember those were boxes;o)
The mystery question! LOL I have no clue what my natural color is now. It was blonde until high school and I started highlighting it. It's very dark now. My roots are a dark brown.
Isn't it great when you find a product that you love?!! Oh, what we go through to look good, huh?!! And U just wait, as you get older it get's sooooooooooooo much harder!! ~Babs~
i suggest manic panic for the pink, i dont know where in america it can be bought but it lasts me about a month, and is made from vegetable edye so it doesnt damage your hair :)
Really! I know I can get it at Sally Beauty supply, but I haven't tried it. I've seen some reviews say it doesn't last long, but maybe it will on my hair:o) Thank you!
i looove the redken extreme products, i use the shampoo, conditioner and anti snap leave in treatment everyday. Its really good, because i have damaged hair but its really fine, and this doesnt make it flat like other brands does.
Don't let that one shade of pink turn you off of the Beyond the Zone colors.
I find that the ones that are a more sort of translucent-ish consistency like that pink don't last very well, but the ones that are a darker more opaque color last wonderfully.
I've been dying my hair pink with BtZ color for over a year now and it's always lasted me for 1-2 months depending on how often I wash my hair. I use the color Raspberry Kamikaze. If you want to see what the color looks like check out my channel.
I need to do more tutorials. My computer is too old and isn't compatible with my new camera. I can't edit my videos. Hubby keeps telling me he's going to buy me a laptop, but I haven't seen it yet;o)
You look so awesome with the shot of pink in your hair! Your look makes me want to go out and dye my bangs pink! Too bad I have red hair! It would look totally wrong! I like your video's because you always act so natural and never fake!
LOL I've been so tempted to go bright red! I've had it a strawberry blonde, but never just red. I've got this Cherry Bomb red dye and I'm so tempted to dye my whole head. I'd probably look like Wendy from the resturant though. She's cute right?! LOL
Thank you so much:o) I try to show my personality as best I can. I'm actually a lot more silly in person.
Yes I never really liked the smell of Rave, but it did work. I think the problem with many hairsprays out there is they can contain water as a first ingredient (!) and they contain silicone. Well with my hair thats a recipe for disaster waiting to happen LOL!! As I said b4 my hair has a fine texture (yet my hair is abundant) so with water & silicone it just makes my hair go FLAT & gross.
I use to LOVE Aussie shampoo but they now contain silicone : ( I do still love the smell of them
and i think RAVE smells like fish and big sexy hair is really nice and so is the big sexy hair root pump plus, it's a moose that you use on your roots and blow dry it and it gives u more volume
Never cared for the RAVE, but it worked ok. I love Big Sexy Hairspray. I'll have to try the root pump plus. I use the moose from Aussie, but the Big Sexy Hair has impressed me so much. I need to try more of their products:o)
yeah same. but you should look into buying the root pump plus, but you will want to wash your hair a day or two after you put it in because it just goes on your roots and it makes it a bit greasy after a while. but then again i have really thin blonde hair so maybe it's just me.
LOL I know hair stuff can get so complicated fast! I use to think that the only chose to damaged or dry hair was to cut it off. I'm so glad there are other options out there;o) *hugs*
chi is better for your hair,, if you go to tj maxx 6 oz for 7.99.. i dont like the chi shampoo but i love the keratin mist!!! ojon is very good 5 oz last a yr very concentrated-rusk calm is divine!! (i have over processed hair!) soft as silk. the last young gal that cut my hair asked me what i did to make it so nice..(i did not expect that).. i told her honey if you knew how gray and black this red hair is lol!..also i use Clairol soy based color. x shelly
Oh Ok...Although I have started using the 7th stage (which works really great!) and it was recommended previously that I use a protein product to help with any damage done to my hair..My hair just gets like straw when I use protein products..So I need to find a great moisturizing shampoo, most just feel like my hair is coated not soft. That or my hair doesn't feel clean.
If anyone has any ideas for a great moisturising shampoo for fine yet abundant hair, please leave me a comment.
It really is worth the price. I really didn't think I would like it for the price, but once I tried it and it actually worked, I was sold!
Oh, I wanted to add about the protein and moisture in hair. Sometimes products with create build up of too much protein and cause your hair to be too dry or the same with moisture causing breakage. You need a balance of the two. Too complicated! I need to do a video about it! LOL
Very informative video, thanks! I want to go blond :) How long have you been doing the pink section? Do you ever get funny looks being a mom with pink hair?
You seem like a totally cool fun mom! I would have loved for my mom to have pink hair...until I was in high school, then it probably would have just been embarrassing : /
I wanted to ask...why do you use the ION DEFENSE color sealing treatment if you are bleaching? Or do you use the treatment after the Pink?
Also previously I tried the extreme treatment and it seemed VERY drying to my already dry (from blonding) hair. I was surprized that you used & liked the Extreme. Maybe I should give it another try? I have been using Redken SOFT ..it's ok but I am not sold on it.
It was suggested by the Sally Beauty Supply lady. It helps with the ph blance or something like that. LOL
My hair needs more protein then moisture so the Extreme shampoo works fantastic. The conditioner really made it all come together and my hair feels super soft now! I haven't used the Treatment enough really to tell.
I've tried the Soft and wasn't impressed. I like instant results and I didn't see that with the Soft so I quiet using it. It's like any other regular conditioner to me.
I remember using it forever ago when I was a teenager. I really can't remember if I liked though. It was hard to get back then. You could only get it in salons. I'll have to give it another try now that Walmart actually carries it:o)
heres a tip, with the redken deep fuel, or with any of the redken extreme products, they are VERY high in protein, and the reason why it told you to only leave it in for 5-10 mins is because if you leave it in for too long it can actually revert your hair back and make it worse, and really dry. Sally's sells a generic version of the Redken Ant-Snap for like under $5. It's amazing and works the same as the real thing.

It's not hard as long as you have plenty of dye and work in sections. It does take some practice. My mother use to do the back of my hair.

Thx

It really is worth the price. I really didn't think I would like it for the price, but once I tried it and it actually worked, I was sold!
Oh, I wanted to add about the protein and moisture in hair. Sometimes products with create build up of too much protein and cause your hair to be too dry or the same with moisture causing breakage. You need a balance of the two. Too complicated! I need to do a video about it! LOL

Very informative video, thanks! I want to go blond :) How long have you been doing the pink section? Do you ever get funny looks being a mom with pink hair?
SarahBethBeauty 2 years ago
Thank you:o)
Yes, I get funny looks a lot. It was hard at first, but now I've gotten use to it. Hopefully they just see a really fun mom;o) LOL

You seem like a totally cool fun mom! I would have loved for my mom to have pink hair...until I was in high school, then it probably would have just been embarrassing : /

Hi Deanna...
YAY!!! You done the video ...LOL!!!!
Hope to see more Videos soon : )
Thx
