I love my zune hd. YES, yes i really do. I live in norway so the apps feature is disabeld, but i have never liked the idea about apps. The soundquality is much better then on my iphone 4 and it has the best GUI i have ever seen in my life. It is using some sort of a Nvidia chip, and its smooth as sauce. The videoplayback is SUPREME! None of the iPhones or iPods can match up with the videoplayback on this device.

The Zune HD will have a Tegra powered chip which is VERY powerful for gaming. It will most likely have an app store for games. So you can compare the two. It will also have a browser as well.
I hope that that isn't the final design for the Zune HD. It looks terrible and, for fuck's sake, they left the screws VISIBLE. Everyone else manages to conceal those screws.
Psystar's bankruptcy is just restructuring - same thing KMart filed years ago - this isn't quite the "bullet through the head" just yet.
Psystar should've known who they were dealing with, and as GlockNinja said, they should have instead sold PCs that were CAPABLE of running OS X without advertising them as such, and come with Windows or Linux installed.
Built-in 3G is nothing new. It's been in business laptops (ThinkPads, Latitudes) for years. I have one in my laptop :P

While I don't like the snob appeal Apple has gained at all, they have definitely improved. iPod and iPhone sales have made tons of money for Apple, pouring money into their R&D coffers, allowing them to design great things like the Air (say what you want about it, it's still very damn impressive) and the 17" MacBook Pro with its 6-hour battery life (which is uncommon on such notebooks.)

The 3G will cost $60 a month. I'm already selling Acer netbooks with built in 3G. The good thing is that AT&T will likely subsidize the MacBook Air making it much more affordable. Also, it will kick the shit out of the 3G netbooks, performance-wise.
i was able to tether my iphone 3g 3.0 beta 5 on to my macbook pro over bluetooth and over the usb cable, even thought you have to update to itunes 8.2 beta for it to work.

In a way they sort of already done it by Sandoxing Win 7 Drivers. There are some Sandbox programs out there like Sandboxie and DefenseWall that do what your talking about in Windows, so it is possible. Yeah I hope they will add at least a minor sandbox to web browsers and email to Windows 7.

The original Iphone looked very much like the LG Prada phone, and the LG came out months before Iphone.

a couple times, wasnt to happy, somewhat confused. From lack of experience.
I like to mess around and have the freedom change things my computer, something I have heard you cant do on Macs. some have told me its a PC with Training wheels that dont come off... so idk. if I could get my hands on it without it costing much I wouldnt mind trying it.

YES IT WILL, there are so many uneducated Mac ppl here. If you run Windows you can use the Zune, all USB connections are the same, doesn't matter if it's a PC or a Mac, so yes you can get a Zune to work with a Mac

what i think apple should do it be the first computers with a 13inch screen to have the 4g network built into their computers. because no other computer has built in 4g as of right now.

The Zune HD will have a Tegra powered chip which is VERY powerful for gaming. It will most likely have an app store for games. So you can compare the two. It will also have a browser as well.

Psystar's bankruptcy is just restructuring - same thing KMart filed years ago - this isn't quite the "bullet through the head" just yet.
Psystar should've known who they were dealing with, and as GlockNinja said, they should have instead sold PCs that were CAPABLE of running OS X without advertising them as such, and come with Windows or Linux installed.
Built-in 3G is nothing new. It's been in business laptops (ThinkPads, Latitudes) for years. I have one in my laptop :P

This could make the Zune HD the king handheld gaming devices. The only dissapointment I have is that there isn't a 64 gig version for the Zune HD, the largest is 32 gig.

The Zune HD, isn't a complete rip off of the iPod and the new Zune does have some new technology that the current iPod doesn't currently have now. I notice it had an OLED display, however it has a smaller screen than the iPod, but it does come with an HD radio tuner. Personally I'd just skip the Zune and get a Palm Pre.

Haha yeah the Zune is a complete copy. It does look nice though.... for something Microsoft pushed out. But it does exactly what the iPod Touch does... Microsoft didn't add anything. They just gave the iPod Touch a new crappier design with a new OS and a touch screen that doesn't work half as good as Apples. There are videos of it out there right now and the touch screen only works about half the time... Instead of copying Apples products, Microsoft should copy Apples trademark... ORIGINALITY!!!

Microsoft took the iPod Touch idea, gave it a new crappier looking design (by design a mean look because you didn't seem to get that the first time round), and a different operating system. Before you argue about something, make sure you know what you're arguing about lol. And by the way if the Zune is exactly like iPod Touch (which I own by the way) except worse. I wouldn't say copied, more like borrowed or bought technology. It doesn't stop with just OSX, a majority of their software was from bought companies. Few times have they developed a program from scratch.

The point I was trying to get across is companys copies a lot. I like some of their products but when see Steve pulls something out of his Ass and people yell "innovating" that is stupid. many features were not made by apple. spaces was in linux software before it appeared in leopard. sorry but I am not going to credit features they stolen. they made a few, but the snotty characteristics are making me want to leave as a apple customer. ever since the Ipod apple has been going down the drain.

I don't think so. While I don't like the snob appeal Apple has gained at all, they have definitely improved. iPod and iPhone sales have made tons of money for Apple, pouring money into their R&D coffers, allowing them to design great things like the Air (say what you want about it, it's still very damn impressive) and the 17" MacBook Pro with its 6-hour battery life (which is uncommon on such notebooks.)

Chapter 11 bankruptcy doesn't mean anything, but i still think the end is coming for Psystar. Whether it will be from debt, or because of their legal battles. Unless, their current legal battle and bankruptcy give them a lot of publicity, which it most likely will and already has.

its ok that you don't have an iPhone. AT&T is a big phone carrier in the U.S., and 3G. It is just faster that the previous 2.5G that phone carriers offered. The 3G is just a big deal here cause the iPhone really helped to pioneer the 3G. All it is, is an improvement to the telecomunications system

The 3G will cost $60 a month. I'm already selling Acer netbooks with built in 3G. The good thing is that AT&T will likely subsidize the MacBook Air making it much more affordable. Also, it will kick the shit out of the 3G netbooks, performance-wise.

hey dude,
i was able to tether my iphone 3g 3.0 beta 5 on to my macbook pro over bluetooth and over the usb cable, even thought you have to update to itunes 8.2 beta for it to work.
Why did phystar even have to exist since they were not suppose to be here, that is breaking the EULA. Good thing they went for bankruptcy because u bet no one bought anything.

ok that kind of smart.. yes I agree with that. windows definately have some strengths .. but until they get rid of viruses (which I hear they are implementing sandboxing that will defintaley help protect apps and the OS) I hear they will finally have that in windows 7... we'll see .. if they copy they have to do it better otherwise they just embarrass themselves.

In a way they sort of already done it by Sandoxing Win 7 Drivers. There are some Sandbox programs out there like Sandboxie and DefenseWall that do what your talking about in Windows, so it is possible. Yeah I hope they will add at least a minor sandbox to web browsers and email to Windows 7.
