  • Great song!!! Got the 12" vinyl High Society and discovered this gem....wonderful.....thanks!

  • It's too bad there Norma Jean didn't have a second album. Originally, this and the hit "High Society" were to be released along with other tracks on an album. Chic produced so many great songs for Norma Jean, Sheila B. Devotion, and Diana Ross...

  • Edwards and Rodgers 100% ! What a funky groove...

  • Sexy intro and couple that touches my sensitive chords and makes me feel weak

  • boongg: You are so right. And for ex, the drumming on "Saturday" with Norma J W, the hi-hat....my god!

  • Cool very cool. someone put up "norma jean wright high society". it disappeared and it was a song i never stopped listening!!

  • Bernard Edwards' Bass + Nile Rogers's Guitar = The best groove ever known to man.

  • Once again the grooviest bass and guitar ever :)

  • Nice.Mellow vibe.High Society was her monster jam.

  • This is a fabulous song. It's s shame it wasn't extended. Thanks for the vibes. x

  • this is so sexy as all of chic music and their production s are!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It should have been a hit and it's "only" the B Side of the single "High Society". Unfortunately there was no promotion for this song...

Norma is touring together with Luci Martin formely one of the 2 original Ladies of CHIC.

TIBBSY is a real CHIC fan... and I know was is a CHIC fan ;)

  • You are a true chic fan.... your name is legendary .

Lets make the most .......most of the vids are getting there music silenced.

  • Nile and 'Nard were truly one of a kind. If only the garbage we have to listen today sounded half as good as this.

  • I like this groove. I'm a huge Chic fan since 1978, especially of Bernard Edwards. I've never heard this song before. I find myself listening to it over and over.

  • this is nice...

  • Nice vibe and great sound, another well-done song by a group of very talented, highly-skilled musicians. Will we ever see their kind again in our lifetime? Even if the music may sound different, the skill and abilities represented by so many musicians of the 60s-mid 80s is rare, especially in that which is commercially successful now. Hang the sales and bring us real music again. Those who appreciate it will buy it.

  • never heard this. it sounds great if i never heard it and it sounds this great it probably was overlooked and never was a hit. great going norma you are a wonderful person hope you are doing well wherever you are.

  • Wow, how different and great!

  • Love it! Sounds like Diana Ross Now That You're Gone! Frrom the Norma Jean album, isn't this?

  • Wow!! I never heard this before!! And I thought I had everything ever played by the old chic-crew. The best.. thanx for posting this!!

  • Tibbsy, do you live in London and are you a DJ?

  • No I dont live in London why?

  • TIBBSY!

They should erect statues of Bernard Edwards and Nile rodgers in Brooklyn and the Bronx respectively, better still in Times Square. They were purveyors of Black American Music.

  • We need a statue of Tibbsy, too! So much fine music would be gone for good except for him.

  • This is a another very sexy Chic composition, with Norma Jean. I cant remember when they produced this album, I think it was after their 'Risque' LP in 79'.

  • great track, excellent sound quality too.

  • Yes...It's definitely Nile & 'Nard....thanks for posting this one...it reminds me of 'Will you Cry"........

  • Very hypnotic.

  • Now selling on Amazon at a staggering £276.

  • thanks for the Best "CHIIC-SONG"

    I heard in years.

you are the new Nile Rodgers, for me.

  • Lol I must admit it is one of my favourites.

  • TIBBSY,

This is a fantastic tune !! And I meant I knew them all. Thank you so much ! What a day. I hear this now over and over.

    Take care

  • great song to be draining shots from 3 point range all night long, when you're in da zone

  • Never mind, I just found it. Thanks!

  • Do you have Sorcerer? I have the LP but my phono won't work!

  • Thanks for this !!!

    I love it !

  • I still find it mind-boggling as to just not only how talented, but how versatile Chic and its musicians/singers were. This is a very pretty song; if this is representative of the rest of the album, it's worth looking for.

  • I love Chic productions :]

and love this song, haha I am 22 and a few years ago my sister accidently got a hold of her album and played it for me and this song forever stayed on my mind. I have been trying to get a copy of it but its so hard to find :| at least I can listen to on youtube for the time being.. blah I just want an mp3 of it but I still want the vinyl of it too. Thanks for posting this.

  • Simply beautiful. This is my first time hearing this. Thanks for adding it.

  • I think its nice when you discover a new song just when you thought you had heard all Chics productions, up pops another to go wow at.

The cd is very rare, selling at £60 odd English pounds last time I looked, dont know if the price has gone down but worth every penny if you can get hold of it.

  • Great post. One of my favorite Chic productions.

  • Your welcome I find it a very haunting song on the lines of "I Want Your Love" and My Forbidden Lover," which was to come later.
