let me get one thing straight: i'm not believing this crap that he's done this to Blair. never ever ever. he'd sell out anyone else, but not her. just no.
sorry, but i don't find it, well, POSSIBLE that he'd do that to the only person that he loves so much. it was the whole point of season two, and season one since "victor, victrola". i'm not believing this. and i'm taking my naive incredulity to the grave.
the writers have destroyed my Chuckie last night. still can't believe it.
i'm so pissed but i still want them to get back together--of course chuck better grovel and crawl back to blair...esp. after everything she has done for him- ugh!! but if they dont get back together then gg just wont have the same appeal for me.
i just dont feel this is believable considering some of the points brought up earlier--about how much chuck loves blair and how distraught he was over her initial hookup with jack. i mean..to then sell her out as a prostitute to his enemy? it's maybe the cruelest thing ever, even for someone as selfish as chuck.
I'm kinda thrilled with this episode. For the first time in a long time I really don't know what's going to happen next. Plus, I actually don't think this is too OOC for Chuck.
As usual he tried to have his cake and eat it too: be the cold-heated businessman (like his father) and yet still have Blair. Of course, I never thought he would be okay with Blair sleeping with someone else (especially Jack). Maybe it's a tiny bit payback for the gay kiss earlier in the season.
if things continue to go like this GG will end at season 2 for me.... I need to wipe season 3 from my memory. Maybe they can pull a Dallas and make season 3 a dream or something.... chair endgame, please?
for a building? for a freakin' building he does this? seriously writers, come up with something a bit more believeable next time. As for now, i'm looking forward to one thing... the writers making up this to CB fans, because.. they're gonna have to work their asses off for us to get past this. I'm never gonna stop believing these two will be endgame, even if the writers are doing everything to screw that up.
i'm dissapointed in Chuck, do i hate him? NEVER! As far as i'm concerned he has done more better to Blair than worse (even though yes, that 'worse' is the worst he's done ever but i don't focus on that, the love of the first 3 seasons trumps that, ALWAYS) and speaking of this season, writers are a bitch. I mean come on, Chuck and Blair were the most stable relationship this season and to go from that to just it all falling apart all in one. Well of course, it'd only happen in GG.
@mary1415 Since you obviously are the only one who doesn't seem the weight of the events in this episode, you should probably just stfu.
Chuck is still the selfish, dumb little boy who let himself be played by his sick uncle (don't get me wrong, I heart Jack Bass) his probably not-mother and all other people who feel like it. And the one to suffer in the end is always Blair. That's why it's so hard to ship Chair at this point. I'd wish for Nair 3.0 right now.
@Sternchen296 yeah.. right. expect for the fact that N is with S right now (and "SO happy" according to him). you know.. serena, B's BFF, who he cheated on B with and forgot to tell her about it the whole year? wow so much healthier! way to make things right!
and its not like i dont get the weight of the events. i just chose to think the writers are on crack :P since C has been pretty much the perfect boyfriend up until now.
Oh my, I think my poor Chair shipper heart was just torn out :(
We're just supposed to believe that Chuck would basically sell Blair, the person he's in love with, to the one person he hates most? For a HOTEL!? Honestly though, they've both done really horrible things to each other before, but they always seem to be able to get through it - though I think this time it's necessary for someone to knock Chuck over the head to stop him from continuing to be such an idiot.
@nicodemusfleur seriously. dont get it at all. last year he had to go to a different continent to get over the JB hook up and now we're supposed to believe he'd just let it happen for a freakin building?! yeah right. epic fail, josh. my poor CB ;(
Chuck's face tells everything for me, as much as he tries to hide it or to convince himself everything is going to be ok, I know he knows he made more damage than he expected, that things got out of his hands. And he's regreting it. Late, of course, and maybe he won't even show it, but if you look at the clips you can get that he is regretting it. At least I do.
I will never EVER hate Chuck. I could hate what he did, but not him. I understand where he's coming from. What he did is completely wrong and horrible, but I get it. And I'm depressed for both of them, actually.
They RUINED CB in ONE FUCKING EPISODE, by doing something so damaging and ridiculous to their relationship. As of right now, I am done. I will love CB forever. Call me dramatic, I don't care.
@italianbaby307 IKR? they were all fluffy and ~boring~ (not my word, just quoting what ppl were saying) during the first 16 episodes and than THIS happenes in ONE FREAKIN EPISODE? WTF?! josh is siiick.
they destroyed Chuck and Blair, and Chuck all in one episode. Congrats writers. I have stood by this show and stuck up for this show so many times against haters, but as of right now I don't think I can watch the rest of this season. I don't understand JS when he says to trust CB and that if we stop watching now we will miss out... miss out on what?!?
The writers have officially destroyed Chuck. I think I hate him now. I know I've been annoyed by the Dair and Nair fans, but maybe they have a point. If C is going to be like he was in this episode, he deserves to be alone the rest of his life. He's even worse than Bart in my opinion.
Who are you to say what I do and don't know? You didn't create the characters and therefore you can't be certain either. I said in my opinion and if you can honestly say that if a guy basically was willing to whore you out for a hotel and still claim to love you afterwards, then you may need therapy. If this is what Chuck and Blair have become, then I don't want to know them.
@ShelbyLewis200714 But who said that what Chuck did to Blair wasn't wrong? It is, it's horrible but he was played by his mother and uncle. that made him vulnerable. To me Chuck is broken, he doesn't love himself, he is still dealing with what bart thought of him and he was trying to prove him wrong. Until he can get over that he can't be with Blair or love her properly, Blair sees that he can be better, that he can love her, like she deserves but after everything he is not ready
It doesn't matter if he's vulnerable! You don't turn someone you love into a prostitute for your own self gain! I don't care how many issues you have. Look we are obviously not going to see eye to eye, so let's just stop talking.
@ShelbyLewis200714 Have you ever lost someone you loved? Blair did not have to go up there, doesn't she have some respect? Even if you love someone there are other ways. Don't you think that maybe chuck didn't ask her because it would have been to hard for him? He had to be dead inside to do that, he told Nate he was. What if Chuck didn't manipulate her? i bet you would be hating on Blair right now.
@ShelbyLewis200714 they have to heal together and take time off. They have to learn how to trust each other. After everything she can't save him (sadly) and he thought she could. You have to see why Chuck is doing what he did. Sorry for coming at you that way though.
I said I didn't want to talk anymore, but I have lost someone I love for your information. I would have never done something like that to them or vice versa because you just don't do that to someone unless your mega selfish. And he didn't just not tell her he tricked her. He put thought into it, he schemed against her. The point is you can't say what if because if you do there is an endless supply of what if's, but it's not what happened.
@ShelbyLewis200714 i was thinking that this is just something that Bart would do too, so heartless. I never could hate Chuck though, I don't think he understands what he really did to Blair. Everyone is capable of doing great things and everyone is capable of doing horrible things. I hope the writers treat this as a lesson for Chuck and they allow him to choose the right path, if they don't then i think they will loose majority of their fanbase.
But from the spoilers I read, Chuck doesn't try to get her back. A script leaks that shows Chuck basically flirting with some blond girl right in front of B, then raising his glass to her and smirking, then it also entails him sabotaging her date.
I have no idea why I liked what Jack was saying to Chuck in this scene. No matter how much of a dick he is. He's right.
