it happened to me on a co-operative only campaign game with 2 friends on the level The Ark, i was in a ghost and a computer covenant character destroyed the ghost. but instead of dying i was stuck in the ghost while it was upside down so master chief's head was in the sand! :D

I wouldnt call some of these "tricks". They arent some secret exploit of the game. Yeah, some of them are tough to get to, but you arent using any kind of glitch like Halo2's superjump to get anywhere.

I'm sure many of those spots were intended by the developers and purposely made them difficult to get to.
