  • I am so honored to be of service on such an AUSPICIOUS DAY! JAI NARASIMHA!

  • Sorry, that was my father.

This video is such trash, preaching your faith is one thing... demonizing non-believers for not recognizing these myths as fact is another.

Yes, I am an evil atheist :P

'Scuze me whilst I go eat some live babies.

  • Amusing ....not

  • Neither was this tripe.

  • Maybe "IhaveNoCreativity" should spend less time with tripe and go do something uncreative.

  • Hehe, I'm simply replying to the messages, I just didn't wish to get miss-labeled as a blue-boy worshiper :P, so I decided to remove my fathers comment and place my own in response to the video. I remember watching this and tripe like it when I was younger, all it does is help to breed hate against your fellow man (or woman).

I don't dislike anyone based on their religious beliefs, only how they act on them. I just wish others could do the same.

    Cont.

  • But when scripture (or video interpretations of said scripture) tries to promote irrational phobias like the fear of those who abstain from superstition, I feel that that it is only natural to speak out against it. In that spirit... I deem this video

    __--XENOPHOBIC TRASH--__

and I hope you understand my quarrel with it.

  • I consider your opinion of this video to be trash. In my opinion this video is for the protection of love, of children, of freedom of religion, and of the greatness of God.

  • You do not admit that this video (and the books it is based on) is something that tries to stir up hatred and fear of non-believers?

More so than the matters you stated, this video is condescending and pretentious in a way that tries to demonize people that abstain from religious beliefs. Sure, the men in the video that were under fire were indeed evil, but they were only portrayed as such so that they could then be tied to atheism in order to defame the stance.

  • (Cont.)

All I am saying is that in reality this isn't the case, atheists are no worse than anyone else, and that this video, and its inspiration (the books pertaining to Prahlad and Narasinghadev, in addition to sections of most vedic literature) are meant to misrepresent and vilify atheists and agnostics, so that association or sympathy to the people or the positions is to be discouraged.

  • I hope I have enunciated my point in an understandable manner, and please note that my intention was not to infuriate you (although I clearly have, I apologize), but merely to respond to what I felt was the clear and present message of the tales of Prahlad.

    Best wishes,

    remember the nameless quote-

"Where we are going is not nearly as important as how we get there"

when one ponders on how to deal with one's neighbor.

  • Actually it is viceversa. Prahlad was a five year old boy whose only fault was that he had an attraction to God. He didn't commit any crime and yet his father tried in many ways to kill him. Prahlad respected his atheistic father as well.

  • "He didn't commit any crime and yet his father tried in many ways to kill him" - I'm afraid this goes to prove my point, such actions don't exactly leave you with the opinion "Hey, that Hiranyakashipu is a stand-up guy!"

  • Hiranyakashipu is actually an eternal servant of God who desired to serve God in VEERA ras, (the nectar of chivalrous fighting) Hiranyakashipu was a gate keeper in Vaikuntha. Hiranyakashipu became the enemy of Vishnu, but when he discovered his son to be a devotee, he tried to destroy his own son. (all part of the pastime to bring the lord down for a good fight)

  • I am familiar with the tale, I would consider the message the same regardless. May we leave the conversation at this? Seeing as how we have both seemed to clearly state our positions... it would seem unnecessary to add pointless length to an already month+ long debate (given how your schedule seems to prevent you from accessing your YouTube account with much frequency).

  • Well this is my video, my beliefs, so if you come to me with "points" I will respond when I have the chance. I have nothing to loose, and by following saints and scriptures of India, I also have nothing to loose. ANd if they are all correct, then I have everything to gain.

  • Search "pascals wager" or "rebutting pascals wager" and you will see how wrong you are. But that doesn't mean that I care what you think... and I wasn't here to change your mind... just state mine.

  • So why do you want me to know what is in your mind. I never asked.

  • dont bother with them.......these non-

    anythings,,,,,they are not worth the

    ground they stand on...

  • Haribol Haribol! Thank you so much for sharing this!

  • Thank you for appreciating! It was hard work! :-) I am glad you like it! -suchandra dasi
