i just found your videos now, i'm going to pledge to start my hair growth challenge right now and hopefully it works as well as yours did. by the way we have the same birthday which inspires me even more haha, thaanks for the tips
i am relaxed now but have some new growth its been about 8 months without a relaxer and i have been using protective styles like box braids and cornrows and since i stoped going to the hair dresser who messed my hair up it started growing more
i stopped getting relaxers about 17 months ago and i only have about one more inch of relaxed hair on my ends. i still straighten my hair and ppl think i have a relaxer all the time when i do. i try not to use heat on my hair more that twice a week. i am trying to grow my hair longer. it is a little past my shoulders now.
-i moisturize with my homemade whipped shea butter mix
-my protein treatments are homemade. (2 eggs, extra virgin olive oil and a cheap mouisturizing conditioner)
I haven't started an actual "hair journey" but i have been keeping better care of my hair for months. I limit my flat iron use. i NEVER use relaxers.
I recommend using a leave-in conditioner after washing your hair. I ALWAYS use my CHI keratin spray and leave in a bit on my bed head control freak conditioner in after i wash it.
Lots of water is ESSENTIAL to healthy hair. Greens such as spinach and broccoli are also good.
for protective styles i usually do a messy bun or fishtail braid.
Hair Journey: I've been on my hair journey for 1 year and 4 months i did have some ups and downs in my hair journey but dont we all. So far I came from ear length to collar bone length which I am really happy about. I completely took heat out of my regimen for 11 months. Then on my relaxer day i blow dried. But i only did that once.
I've been on my hair journey for a year and 4 months and I came from ear length to collar bone length. I did have some bad days in my hair journey but dont we all. oh yeah and by the way I have relaxed hair.
Okay, just ONE quick product I cannot live without &
I know I kinda already put a comment up,but i forgot about this one,the product is my whipped shea butter cream, theres tons of tut's on youtube about it&it has essential hydrating oils innit& its just AWESOME for any types of hair.
I started my hair journey last summer. I had hair breakage near the nape of my neck. When I would put my hair in a pony tail it would look so ugly because I had so many short hairs sticking out that used to be long. I decided to look up hair videos here on YouTube for some tips on what I could possibly do to help my hair grow. I stumbled upon many videos claiming how Aphrogee products do wonders on damaged hair. After five months of using Aphrogee the hair near my nape has grown back so much!
I am relaxed and ive been on my hair journey for 3 months now.The hair journey has made a hug difference to my hair, its so much more healthier now!Tips that are great is to always use a wide tooth comb which dont pull your hair! Try to use shampoo without sulfate cause they strip your hair. Wrap hair every night with a silk scarve and use protective styles as much as possible. Trim so that your ends stay healthy. Drink water & eat healthy cause it will reflect on you hair. And MOSTURIZE & Seal!
okay so, click the response box to this video(where you would normally comment), on the side of the box it will give you the option of, ATTACH A VIDEO. click your uploaded video, and voila!
my comment for the hair growth is what ive been doin the past 5 yrs and my hair is dn to my bttm ive nvr had it this long only past my sholders soo you shaould have almst(damp) hair put a leavein or regularconditioner in yur hair thick so your hair is coated and comb through so u dont get tangles while u go through the day or night or both, put a plastic bag on yur head secure it with a clip showercaps work too, go several hrs so yur hair soaksupthe nutriants and this mks it grow hlthy/strng
wow yur bday is the same as my sons he will be 2 on the 27th yaaay hes sooo cute lol i want him to stay little always but watching him grow and learn is the best feeling in the world, anywayz happy bday soon to you i hope you have a good one, take care lots of love<333Melissa<333
( : Heres my tips! Use scrunchies and Clips! Eat healthy, b/c this can determine the growth in your hair. Vitamins like:Biotin, Folic Acid, Hair.Skin&Nails, & MSM leave you hair natural sometimes, don't be afraid to try something different Sip on that agua! It gives your hair a lot of moisture. Any product that contains keratin is REALLY good for your hair! Essential oils are way better than greases, i recommend coconut oil! Deep Condition at least once a week. Buns Braids Twists you name it!
1)Okay so one thing you can do is make sure that you try NOT to damage you're hair.Brush you hair with a wide-tooth comb whenever it is wet.Try to not style with heat so often but when you do,make sure to protect it with a heat protector spray 2)Drink lots of water & massage your scalp briefly every day
3)Try including vitamins B, C, and E in your diet. You can do this buy eating foods that has tons of these vitamins in it or you can buy vitamin supplements at any drugstore(:
2. a : i get my mom to put the bantu knots in my hair at night and wear take them out , apply a litttle leave in conditioner and style how i please , a simple bun , a curly fro , or a simple fluffy pony tail .
b : i don't have a job yet , but if i did buns with side swooped bang , up-dos or simple roller set or rods . to keep it professional
c : simple up-dos , bantu knots , an afro , twist and a fro , bang and a curly fro , high ball , or a nice wig with my hair comfortable in braids on top .
1 . Well I've been from long hair to short hair . relaxed to natural . i have naturally curly hair , even with perms it's curly , but my most recent hair journey with my natural hair haas been 6 months . my hair is quite long , i cut my hair ear length and now it's to my shoulders . the journey has been rough with my hair i use bantu knots , or rodders , sometimes i just braid my hair or just put condition it and my hair curls , but i'm enjoying my final product :D
Journey: transitioning ~May 2010~ I didn't really know I was transitioning 'til June/July.I stumbled upon the natural community &found your channel while searching for hair growth. Natural b/c my hair was unhealthy, Its been long &hard, from de-tangling to "crunchy hair" 6 in.challenge Hair tips:H20 BioInfusion Creme of Nature Shea butter yogurt(GREAT moisturizer) Kinky twists,Braids,sock/twisted/braided up bun, styled cornrows twisted in front w/ beanie, headbands, messy hair twist updo(Cuute)
My Journey: I'll be 18 next month & I just started my journey in May 2010. I managed to not straighen my hair all summer (I did wash & go's using Kinky Curly) I learned a lot from YouTube(esp.Taren916,Kimmaytube,etc.)& I'm going for 6" of new growth for 2011.
Hair Tips:Don't be afraid to try different products to find out what works for you; Buns are always a cute protective style; Try to straighten hair no more then once a month (or not at all).
