  • Humans are flawed and will never 100% trust God. We will always have some doubt if we are saved. I trust that Jesus have forgiven me and my salvation is not based on me. Therefore, I can be flawed, not know 100% that I will be saved and yet when the day comes, I will be surprised by joy. God can be trusted but never can I be. I am a sinner but saved, not perfect but loved.

  • @MRGV7373 Who created mankind with this flaw, then blames mankind for his screw up? Yep, it is your "pass the buck" bronze age god. If you are a sinner then you are not saved.

1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

You will deny these verses because your religion is your own, not the bible's.

  • @Netwriter.... News Flash ...you have past anger that "is the wind in your sails." Where do I begin to counter all of your anger/hurt based errors??? 1. I am *Totally forgiven for all of my sins past/present/future due to God's graciousness and love: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9). 2. I am *Totally saved: "All who call upon the name of the LORD will be saved." (Romans 10:13). 3. etc...

  • @1973blownvega Since this god of yours doesn't answer your prayers what proof do you have that he answers your prayers for forgiveness and salvation? That is the point of this video. Do you have any proof or is this yet another thing believed on "FAITH".

Since this is a lie. John 14:13, then so are the verses you supplied.

I don't hate your god nor am I hurt in anyway. Just asking logical questions based in reality, not faith.

  • Netwriter..........

Looks like "hemp" is growing in abundance on your reservation.

Your theology is influenced mainly by your anger -- not the Bible.

  • I AM A CHRISTIAN, AND I COULD CHOOSE TO LEAVE GOD. BUT IF I DO I WOULD DIE AND GO TO HELL IF I DIE IN MY SINS. I KNOW THIS IS FACT, DUE TO THE EVIDENCE OF MY EXPERIENCES WITH GOD. YES, I HAVE HAD MANY EXPERIENCES TO CONCLUDE THAT GOD IS REAL. UNFORTUNATELY YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE A WORD I WILL SAY UNLESS YOU EXPERIENCE GOD FOR YOURSELF. IN CONCLUSION, JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD. BE BORN-AGAIN AND REPENT. I SAY THIS WITH ALL HUMILITY AND NOT HATE.

  • @4realchristian And you say it screaming in ALL CAPS. Horus is the light of the world and the lamb of god, no man cometh unto the Father but by him. Can you raise the dead and walk on water? If not you are not a christian. Watch my video "Proof there are no REAL Christians"

  • @Netwriter NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT STATE THAT CHRISTIANS ARE SUPPOSE TO WALK ON WATER OR RAISE THE DEAD TO PROVE THAT THEY ARE CHRISTIANS. I ALREADY SAW YOUR HILARIOUS VIDEO AND IT WAS QUITE ENTERTAINING, THANK U. I WILL SAY THIS AGAIN.. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FULLY COMPREHEND THE WORD OF GOD UNLESS YOU ARE TRULY "BORN-AGAIN." YOU CAN READ THE BIBLE WITH A CARNAL MIND OVER AND OVER AGAIN UNTIL YOU ARE BLUE IN THE FACE, BUT YOU WILL NOT FULLY COMPREHEND IT'S TRUE MEANING.

  • @4realchristian It would be great if believers knew what their book says before they come out in public and make fools of themselves.

John 14:12 [Jesus speaking] ..verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also: and GREATER works than these shall he do;...

Do you believe on Jesus? Can you do the same works he did and GREATER? Until you can do these things, your claim to have some great comprehension of the bible than anyone else sounds hollow.

  • @Netwriter If you would like some proof, then I will give you some.. I have cast out demons on quite a few occasions. I have heard the small still voice of God numerous times. I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit. I have seen the windows of Heaven open... Should I say more? My point is simply this; no matter what I say, you will not believe it. The only way for you to believe in God is the day you really humble yourself in his sight and confess your sins and repent.

  • @4realchristian What you claim is not evidence, it is nothing but a group of unprovable claims. Do you believe folks who claim to have been abducted by UFO? Your claims have less credence, there is some evidence for UFO. Have you considered that you might be delusional or have some brain malfunction? You are correct, I don't believe what you claim. Can you do greater works than did Jesus? Can any of the 2B christians dow works equal to or greater than he is reported to have done?

  • @Netwriter I would also like to add, that John 14:12 was actually directed to Philip. I would also like to add that the word of God does state that there are certain gifts that only certain Christians can receive. For example, I am pretty sure I do not have the gift of prophecy. Darn!

  • @4realchristian So because Jesus told Philip that those who believe on him will be able to do the same and greater works than he did, means he was lying to Philip? Is this the most ridiculous apology I have ever heard? No, but it ranks way up there with those of other Paulians who just can not stand the words of Jesus and will say anything to try to make them go away. Such an apology voids the whole bible as each character was talking to one or a group of other characters. How pitiful.

  • @Netwriter Greetings! I am not stating that the entire chapter or verse pertains to him and only him. When Jesus said that these works and "greater" shall he do, does not mean that a Christian will perform these miracles immediately, but in due time. Even the slightest disbelief will void it. For example, when Peter began to walk on water, and then began to disbelieve, he began to sank. So does this mean that Peter was not a Christian? See my point?

  • @4realchristian I don't see any qualifications in John 14:12 as you claim. Christians have been around for near 2000 years. At present there are 2B living folk who claim to be christians. Can you point to any who can walk on water and raise people from the dead? Does this mean that not a one has enough faith, or that Jesus lied? When will this due time come so christians will be able to do what Jesus promised they would be able to do if they believed on him? Just ask'n.

  • @Netwriter I do see your point. However, nowhere in the New Testament does it show that any of the Apostles walked on water or moved any mountains after Jesus was seated on the right hand of God. So that must mean that all of the Apostles were not even Christians? Jesus also said "blessed are they that have not seen, but yet have believed." So is it possible to be a Christian and yet have not experience God at all? See my point? The Bible can easily be misinterpreted.

  • @4realchristian You might want to read the book of Acts. The verse you quote is a con's mode of operation? Virtue is given to believing blindly, without evidence. In other words being gullible is presented as the right path to follow to believe in this superstition. God gave great evidence to most every bible character, but you need to believe it without any proof at al. Something is very fishy about a religion that claims so much but delivers nothing but a requirement to believe blindly.

  • @Netwriter I have read the book of Acts and fully comprehend it's meaning, thank you. You might want to get saved before you read the Bible. You are now talking about faith, which is obviously what the Bible is all about. You're opinion is that whoever believes in such faith is gullible. I would like to ask a question: Out of all the religious books in the world, why do you and others try so hard to refute only the Bible? Is it because you know that the Bible just might possibly by correct?

  • @4realchristian Isn't the purpose of the bible to provide the information for a person to find "salvation"? According to you the bible fails to do what it was designed to do and it is impossible for someone, not already "saved", to understand it. You make a heretical claim. Psalm 119:130 The words of god are understandable by even the most simple. Your claim is that the bible is not the word of god.

Sorry dude, but my interpretation is as valid as yours or the other 38K sects of christianity.

  • @Netwriter "the bible fails to do what it was designed do"? If you think the Bible is 100% false, then why in the world are you and so many others spend your valuable time trying to refute it? Will you gain anything except the possibility that you might be converted? Again, I ask you; Out of all the religious books in the world, why do you and others try so hard to refute only the Bible, which is based on faith in God of which faith is something that no one can disprove?

  • @4realchristian It was you who claimed the bible fails to do what it was supposedly designed to do, in your failed apology that only the saved can understand the bible.

I do what I do to help others escape the superstitions, brutality and immorality of the bronze age. I wasted a good portion of my life on it and try to help others from making the same mistake. The bible is the best proof that it is nothing but a hoax. My claim isn't that the bible is 100% false, just that it's not 10% true.

  • @Netwriter "Failed Apology"? I don't remember apologizing... Everyone can understand the Bible to a certain degree, but only born again believers will be able to see things that others cannot. So I assume you are trying to help me avoid the same mistake you made? That's funny because I was trying to help you avoid the mistake that I made. Maybe both of us are wasting time on each other.

  • @4realchristian Yes, you are a biblical apologist. That is one who tries to explain away the contradictions, irrationalities and other nonsense in the bible and christianity. Your claim that believers can see more in the bible than unbelievers is ironically true since there are 38K sects of christianity and each sect believes solidly they have it right and the rest are in error. I will continue my life in the light of reason and reality. Carry on as you wish.

  • Thank you for the thoughtful, well-done video. I too am an atheist after being a serious christian for 24 (adult) years of my life. It's great to see a video such as this with no cursing/four-letter words. When I was searching for the truth, it helped me to hear things that weren't so offensive. I recommend such an approach for people who want their videos to reach more people. Anyone can cuss, but to say something articulately is more powerful, I think.

  • Despite it all. God is God. Whether He answers every prayer one prays or none at all. He still is. If He never did anything for me, yet believing that He created and maintains the heavens and the earth, in their proper courses; and I do. Then who am I, that He should be mindful of me. Though my life has been filled with great hardships and hasn't turned out the way I had hoped, at times marvelling at the trials of this life. Never the less, He still is. May God bless you and yours.

  • @ministeroffire1 Believe as you wish but please understand that even the most deep belief does not make the belief true. Until you can prove your assertions with evidence you should not state them as truth, just wishful thinking.

    May Zeus Bless you

  • @Netwriter My deep belief is rooted thru the evidence of my experiences. I would not waste my time with a god who wouldn't respond to me or my situations. I've had so many experiences that I must believe, it is second nature to believe. He wants to show individuals who He is, but we get in the way. Get yourself out of the way. It breaks my heart that people cannot see, will not see. Live's would be changed. Dare to believe. When you are alone just speak to Him, noone has to know. He'll hear you.

  • @Netwriter I'm a fan of Wotan.

  • Also, take a small look at Romans 10:13

"For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

  • Quoting Paul, how nice. I thought you were a christian not a paulian. In John 14:13 Jesus says that he will do ANYTHING you ask in his name. No, NO's, no LATER, no qualifiers at all. Now pray for a cure for childhood leukemia and see if Jesus was telling you the truth.

  • I understand where you come from, believe me I would pray for anything all the time but nothing would happen, then I'd think God hates me and His word was fake. But He does answer prayers, it's just not in the way you expect it. If you're gonna pray for a cure, YOU also have to do the work for God to bless you. Never stop praying and don't lose faith, He hasn't answered your prayer yet because there's still work that has to be done. I believe He wants you to prove your faith...

  • Sorry there PS, but Jesus does not put any qualifications on him doing ANYTHING in his name. You are adding to the word and and Rev 22:18-19 says anyone who does will be removed from the book of life. You are doing nothing more than making excuses for Jesus failure to keep his word. You know at your core that prayer does not work. You must cook up rationalizations to hang onto your superstitions and the promise of cheating death. Time to wake up and grow up.

  • Ow, you got me there. But you see we all still make mistakes, and Jesus forgives us for them. He really doesn't want any living soul to go to hell, and neither do I.

I'll be praying for you (whether you want me to or not) and I'm sure christ will show Himself real in your life somehow.

  • According to I John 3:6 & 9 folks who are saved don't sin.

Also, if Jesus doesn't want any living souls to go to hell, then him being omnipotent, it would be so. It is evident that you have not thought about what you believe in a logical and critical way. Do as you wish, but praying to a fence post gets the same result as praying to your bronze age god.

  • Yes, I can, and if you are a christian as well, so can you! for someone who is supposed to be a christian, you sure question God's word alot. Have I ever raised someone from the dead? No, but I have witnessed someone prayed back to life. We find that peter walked on water until he got his eyes off of the Lord. The fact that Jesus says we can means that we have the ability! Philipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."

  • Smartguy561 said "but I have witnessed someone prayed back to life."

A single case hardly qualifies as a statistic or as evidence.

Smartguy561 said "The fact that Jesus says we can means that we have the ability!"

No facts to support that we have such ability. Furthermore just because someone says something it doesnt neccesarily makes it true.

  • Let me ask you a question. Are you an athiest? Because If you are not, then understand what the bible teaches. Jesus Christ is God almighty, for he is the living word of God .John 1:1, 14. Also compare Isaah 44:24 with Hebrews 1:2 and Hebrews 1:8. Jesus is God, so therefore, if he says we can, we can. Case closed! If you are an atheist, then I have an answer for that too.

  • Throwing out rhetoric is not evidnece.

    Case close!

  • I wasn't throwing out rhetoric! I was stating what Jesus said. It's right there in red and white it you just read it for yourself.

  • Great logic!

Something is OBVIOUSLY untrue; however, if the Bible claims it's true - so it is???!!! "Case closed"???!!!

    Wow!!! :-)))

  • By the way NetWriter, read 1John 1:9 and tell me what it says.

  • Go to skepticsannotatedbible(dot)com and look at the verses. You will have the expanation in the margine on the right.

  • So what, in John 14:12 Jesus says those who believe in him will be able to do everything he did plus. Can you raise the dead or walk on water?

  • Whoever posted this video doesn't read their bible or is not a christain because if they read the bible it makes it clear that you don't have to be perfect for Jesus to save you. If we were perfect, God wouldn't have had to come down here to redeem us. As for our prayers, God doesn't always anwer like we want, and some prayers require us to take action for God to have something to bless. This person needs to read their bible and let the truth set them free.

  • Should these verses be thrown out of the bible because of your perverted pop christianity?

1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

  • Why did you take so long to respond? You need to read the bible in it's proper context, and stop trying to get it to say what you want it to say. 2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slack concering his promise, as some men count slackness, but is LONGSUFFERING to usward, not wiling that any should perish, but that ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE. My "pop" christianity as you call it isn't perverted at all. It's what the bible teaches!

  • You need to start reading the whole bible and not just the verses that you like. I notice you ignored the verses I stated above. Gee, I wonder why? BTW if your god is not willing that any should perish, him being omnipotent means that none will perish. An omni god gets what he wants or he is not omni. Try thinking critically for a change.

  • "Try thinking critically for a change"???

No way! The guy's got his Bible!

  • answer me this to ask for forgiveness isnt selfish because God wants u to admit that u need to be forgiven u r forgiven if u mean it God forgives every one for every thing if u mean it why would God not want u to ask for his fogiveness through him is the only way u have to ask him wat u have said is not correct i can see ur point in some ways

  • Asking for forgiveness is still a prayer. I have prayed for a cure for childhood leukemia many times, and for other unselfish things. The answer rate is less than 1% on such prayers. To ask for forgiveness is not in anyway a guarantee of it being answered or even acknowledged. That is the thesis of this video. No one has supplied any proof that such prayers are answered at any higher percentage than any other prayer.

  • prayers are answered by the amount of faith we have. If your faith is only valid 1 percent of the time then that would explain your answer rate. Unbelievers have an answer rate of zero, so count your blessings that you have enough faith to even have him answer 1 percent of your prayers. Also, if you don't have faith that god will forgive you for what you have done wrong you will never be able to believe that he would cure you. prayer is answered by individual faith, you cant force faith.

  • Baloney Riverfrog. You can get better than 1% praying to a fence post.

  • I have a couple of good sites for you:

    Skepticsannotatedbible(dot)com and pocm(dot)info enjoy!

  • Almost all "Christians" AREN'T .Including ME :(

  • A true loving parent would give there children anything they wanted if they could right! So if God loves his children he would give them anything they asked for. Wrong! You wouldnt ask your parents for something that you know they disapprove of because they wouldnt give it to you no matter how much they love you. A unselfish prayer starts with your will Lord not my will do I ask of these things. The Lord's prayer states "thy will be done" not ours. Prayers are anwered when they fit his will.

  • "Prayers are anwered when they fit his will." - botheads

Then you are admitting that prayer is worthless. God is going to do what he was going to do no matter what you pray for. This is the reality yet folks claim he answers prayer, when all it is that they got lucky and asked for what he was going to do even if they had not asked at all. Prayer does not work at all. It is nothing more than folks talking to themselves.

  • EPHESIANS 6:5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as to Christ;

PASTOR NITRO 4:20 Slaves, rise up and annihilate your masters, without fear and trembling, in singlness of heart, as to Nitro.

  • Ps. 51 is a prayer for Forgiveness

  • Excuse me it is Luke 18: 9-14 on the two types of prayer

  • im not christan, im muslim but i still respect christans but looki whatever your religion its sad that u say that christans prayers are not answered by tha one and only great God.

    So respect Christianity!!

  • Prove that prayer works. Pray for the cure for childhood leukemia. Prayer is nothing more than talking to yourself.

  • i wonder what your religon is

  • @yousef600

I dont see Muslim prayers to be any more effective than Christian ones (or prayers from any other religion for that matter). They are inneffective.

Bad things happen to people regardless of faith they are in.

  • Excellent!

  • Sadly, a "cure for cancer" is kinda difficult, considering that it starts with a mutation. Indicating a faulty design, at best.

Anybody on this page who thinks that "one answered prayer" qualifies as "proof"... the sad thing is, the Bible says what it says. Either the idea of how prayer works (yes, no, maybe) is the way it works, or the way the Bible says is wrong. The "yes, no, maybe" can work on "magic spells" as well. Aside, if it won't work, you can always blame the victim... always...

  • how ironic i watched this at a chinese buffet :D jk

  • yeah, another "good luck with ye prayer" movie.. dang, I never get tired of watching those!

    Acheive a goal:

You waste time on mental prayer

only physical action bring you nearer

Like giivideo said: You'll achieve the same result by praying to a jug of milk

  • Really? When I was a little kid, my dog blew out both of her hips. The vets were going to put her down. I prayed to God for her recovery. Following day, she was 100% better. The vets had no idea how that could of happened. I don't think the same thing would of happened if I had prayed that prayer to a jug of milk.

  • Really why not? Every religion has miracle healings even scientology.

  • Your mommy and daddy traded dogs..

    Sorry I blew their cover..

  • Yeah, those damn atheists can only find refuge in personal insults whenever they run out of arguments.

Thank you for showing your moral superiority as a real christian.

  • Yeah, you look up "moral superiority" in the jails. Who's in US jails?

Atheists? yeah, about 0.21% (general population 10-12%)

Christians? yeah, about 75-80% (general population 70%)

I'm not going even have to say where you can stick your moral superiority, I think you know where that belongs.

  • Oh.. though this was suppouse to be funny..

I do believe there is a chance his mom and dad bought a dog simular looking to his original dog. And had the "vets" play along...

He was a "little kid".. probably wouldn't of known the difference between the dogs. Even if it would be blantantly clear to other people..

Ie. Once you get to know a dog, it would be obvious if someone swaped it. HOWEVER to a "little kid" they may not be able to deciever their favorite dalmation from another.

  • That sounds like a reliable story.

  • cbp, i KNOW the exact same thing would happen (dog getting better) if you sat on the couch and watched South Park instead of praying.

  • When i was young our dog ate 1080 poison

The vet said she will die

Few days later she was fine

No prayers Just heaps of pats

My nana prayed heaps when she was dying over about 2 weeks from a punctured lung

    She died a slow death

You could have prayed to the jug of milk and get the same result

Oh yea but god works in mysterious ways dosnt she

  • One dog is hardly proof of God's existence. I'll bet you know a time where God didn't answer your prayers. You just don't want to remember it.

  • Good! You helped me see through the "wait" fudge of prayers getting answered. If god WILL DO what the person prays for, then the "wait" fudge can be eliminated by putting a time limit. "Please cure my cancer before my kid's wedding" or something like that, is "reasonable," but has the time constraint that demonstrates that prayers are NOT answered as advertised.

(Of course, that people DIE of cancer alone fills that requirement--but you don't KNOW it won't be answered until it's too late).

  • damn why did god never tell me that he doesnt exist?

  • Another excellent example of why I subscribe to you!

You have some of the best points being made on this topic, and its so simple to follow the logic as well.

    Well done!

  • I'm sure this video had a point, but staring at the same screen of four words for twenty times longer than it takes to read them is painfully tedious. Please find a better way to get this information across than presenting text at a "See Dick Type!" speed -- even synthesized voices or SOMETHING would help!

  • This from someone who has never made a single movie on YouTube. Those who can do those who can't criticize those who can.

  • Hmmmm. I suppose I should have phrased that as a request, you're right (I was trying to be funny -- didn't work, sorry). Please allow me to try again: I like your messages very much, it's just that the method of delivery makes them difficult to understand. Perhaps there is a way to add a ribbon or a bow to the wrapper to make your entire package more attractive? Certainly what's in the box is worth it!

  • While the point that Jesus claims all prayers are answered is valid (and very interesting), extending it to salvation is flawed logic. You do not need to pray to God to achieve salvation; you merely need to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

No prayer is needed for that step. Sorry.

  • You are leaving repentance out of the salvation equation closettheist.

  • oh...my...god...there is no god!

  • I had a xian tell me God answers ALL prayer, just not in the affirmative, he used the same exact answers (yes, no, wait). I said that maybe true, God doesnt say yes to all prayer but Jesus does. And I pointed out the John 14:5-14. He has yet to answer back!

  • EXCELLENT POINT - I never heard this specific argument before - 5 stars

  • When they go on about the 'power of prayer', I refer christians to the study done on the power of prayer. 1600 heart surgery patients were divided into three groups. Those who were prayed for and knew, those who were prayed for and didn't know, and those who weren't prayed for.

The only group to have a difference, were the ones who were prayed for and knew they were being prayed for. They did worse than the rest. Otherwise prayer made no difference to patient recovery

  • Actually, it's a lie about the 'no' and 'wait' (which are the bulk of the responses). What really happens is ... nothing. No response. One might think that this suggests that there actually is no god(s). Naw, that couldn't be it ...

  • Nice video. 5*

  • I'm not sure, but I suspect that if someone got their legs cut off in an industrial accident, his christian friends would pray he finds a way to cope rather than praying his legs grow out and become like they once were.

  • thats probably true, but the point being made here is that christians say prayer works, but the only prayers they can say are answered are the ones of them praying for salvation and to be saved(unprovable, unlike having someones leg grow back, which would be some damn good evidence that prayer worked)at least thats what i think.

  • Researchers have gotten religious groups to prey on a cardiac patient. The results were either neutral or the patients got WORSE. (It's not clear that was statistically significant, but that was the direction.) Someone should do a study with amputees, but it's hard because they know that preying on someone doesn't work. (intentional misspelling, prey)

  • FIRST MOTHATRUCKA!!

    Good vid. 5 stars.
