This was my Grandpa's favorite song... he died about 4 years ago... and every time I would hear that song I would just burst into tears.

Now it makes me smile when I hear it, because I feel it's grandpa's way of saying everything is ok and don't be sad, be happy.

I can even imagine Grandpa dancing around like the guy in your video...

You're flat a lot. There are some songs that could be changed tonally to change the mood. I just heard the minor to it and the only thing that was "happy" about it was that you snapped up the tempo. You do good guitar work, I just didn't like it. Some songs creatively have to be "sad" and it just doesn't work.
