  • sorry I just want to no if there will be a WOTS plus on xbox 360

  • way there be a way of the samurai plus for xbox 360

  • HEY! HOW CAN I TRANSLATE THIS SHIT? I THINK I BOUGHT THE CHINESE VERSION!

  • Playing it right now, played the second one but this seems a bit better and a bit longer. Just doing my own thing in it which is fun cause i hate games where your set in your tracks, so im liking it so far building swords and making money the story means fuck all to me really.

  • im hopefully buying this friday

  • I just bought the fishing pole at the merchant.....can I go fishing in this game now?

  • I don't know...In fact, that would be pretty sweet.

Anyway, bought it yesterday...never regretted it..

My favorite feature? You don't actually have to kill.

  • making 20k every time i see yukino lol

  • music from fearless ;d

  • i remember renting the first one a long time ago and i couldnt stop playing so i was pretty excited when i found out about 3. to anybody that has this game is the system with where you can get tons of different endings by the thigns you do is the same?

  • Yes, that feature is still there. There are about 12 true endings- each with 2 or three variations. Making the total about 27 endings.

  • yeah. theres 27 endings

  • To all who wonder this game is amazing especially with all the choices(holding swords bacdkwards to spare ppl, bowing in a fight then your opponent becomes your partner ect) also instant kill mode rules you can even unlock futuristic xbox armor 4 the 360

  • hahah fish^^

so are there two groups to join?

or 3 like in the first part?

but i dont remember really if there where 3^^

    well

    but its an awesome game

oh man it just feels like u are in there omg

the first one was awesome for the first 5 times you played trough it:D

i hope this one will do good as well

  • wehere can i get the fish :O

  • i dont even have the game^^

i just thought it was funny how he was holding it.

Is it already out in europe?

  • no but in 2 days :D ....

  • Does anyone know of a good youtube author who reviews every single ps3 game that is released? pm me yo!

  • Cheers for tellin me musashix.

But no i got a 360 im afraid lol

  • Just as I thought! I was misinformed. The Wikipedia page says the game will come to Europe in the first quarter of 2010.

On a side note, I got the game today, and played it for 3 1/2 hours before going to work. Its a little rough around the edges, but I love it. The variety of weapons is probably the best feature, followed by being able to start a fight in any cutscene.

They improved the map feature too, so now you don't have to guess where the next story cutscene is located.

  • @linkstane it is in the u.k for ps3 and the 360 if your still intersested?

  • Giant fish at the end? Lulz?

  • hi does anyone know if this game will be available in the u.k?

i'd really appreciate if someone could tell me if you know.

    Thanks

  • As far as I know there is no U.K. release planned. Agetec and UFO Interactive are small developers. However, Agetec has released a few European games in the past. Do you have a playstation 3?

  • its coming out for xbox360 seen it on the downloads..i wanna play this..and maybe online? lolol might not be gud but maybe fun

  • Yeah, its for 360 and ps3. Way of Samurai 3 is like an indie film. You can't expect perfection, but it does do things that you don't normally experience.

  • thank god its finally comin to america!!!!!

  • Heyyy it's coming out this october? Man oh man...I remember playing the 1st one WAYYYYYY back when and the second was pretty cool (Although I SUCKED at the second but rocked at the first). Wonder how i'll fair at the third XD

Hopefully this will be a fun game :)

  • I knooow!

I remember playing the first one SO LONG AGO. Religiously too.

I didn't even know there was a sequel!

  • im suprised that no game trailers have been released yet

  • So I have been following this game for a year now and last year they did cancel plans to release a US version. I am looking on the Aquire website and they have published release of October 2009. I am glad they caved and decided to release this game abroad outside of Japan.

  • I can't wait Way of the Samurai 3. I've been thinking about it since the flop that was 2 came out. (Western doesn't count. It just doesn't.)

  • what the hell was a flop about part 2 :S

it rocked like the first one

  • october 2009 us release date confirmed

  • Comment removed

  • It's 150 HKD.... So it's about 20 USD... I'm thinking of buying it while I'm still here in Hong Kong

  • US RELEASE FOR 360. never have I loved xbox as much as I do right now. Here to hoping they do the same with fatal frame 4

  • Comment removed

  • actually, Way of The Samurai 3 WILL be released on 360, translation is already well under way.

please don't talk rubbish, especially if You're an idiot with no spelling, and no grammar skills.

  • Comment removed

  • true words. just loving my xbox right now

  • Will this play on an american ps3?

  • Sure will my friend. As of right now, ps3 is regionless. The only is issue is the translation. If Spike would just give ONE continent an english translation, the entire world would benefit. The same goes for Yakuza 3. As sad as the situation is... I guess I can't complain too much since we can at least import it without having to mod anything.

  • Way of the Samurai 3 is listed as being "under development" on Acquire's new english site!!

  • actually its being released in the US

  • That's awesome!

  • I hope it comes out for the US eventually, it looks good and I loved the first 2

  • Same here I really feel for the first one and its been one of the few games that I really don't get bored with after passing it over and over. ^ _ ^

I hope the 3rd is released in the US plus I am tring to get a friend into it.

  • when is this game coming out? someone tell me lol

  • its out in japan. 31 dec 2008 I belive. As of now threr has not been announced any other releases of this game outside japan. Though I hope they will release an english version.

  • oh cool thx, the language barrier isint a problem for me, just hope i can get my hands on it sometime

  • in MY opinion, this will be the game of the year, I just LOVE WoTS!

  • Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan Heat Action, look up that video, this game smashes way of the samurai 3, (dont get me wrong huge fan of the first 2, and anxious for 3rd) but this is in a league of its own

  • coming to xbox 360 as well

  • I haven't heard anything new in a LONG time about these games man. One and two were pretty awesome. Can't wait for this one to come out, and if it does I hope it's out for 360 too. Well... let me know if you hear anything else please.

    ~Enimbrea

  • all these people ranting about how its not coming out ... i seen newer info then this and says its jan 29th they are starting to do this with alot of games ...i remember way back in 2005 NO earlier i was looking through some titles and saw WOTS 3 and was like OMFG!!!! but never seen any info for like 3 years untill vary recently and now im fallowing it up once again and watched some battle scenes. it looks awsome so far XD another game i want is Kengo 0

  • Yeah but how did you get that release date? beacause the Japanese version has been released so what other country`s date could that be,beacause it is not being released to any other country.

  • they really need to make this for america because way of tha samurai 1 and 2 were amazing for ps2

  • they just announced this recently for xbox360just wanted to know if it is any good?

  • 1 and 2 were fun but I wished they were on a bigger scope. This one still looks like it will be on a small scale, but I think the combat in the others was fun, and I liked to chose my destiny, something like Fallout...

  • I don't think bigger scopes would suit these series well. Way of the Samurai tries to make an interesting tale of an otherwise anonymous samurai's life, so getting him involved in the fate of japan or the emperor or something would be way, WAY over the top. =P

I'm kinda tired of games where you are the hero that saves the world. We need more games in which you play a reasonable role as a grunt. =P

  • Actually I agree with you, but what I meant by bigger scope was basically higher production values, larger cities and more characters, more side stories and things like that, but yeah, dont need to save the world, and please no supernatural crap, thats something I wish they would leave out of Tenchu as well.

  • Yeah, I see what you're aiming at and I agree. Though I gotta say that when it comes to Tenchu, it isn't really half bad with the supernatural stuff.

I mean, yeah, fireballs and that kind of stuff are uncalled for, but I think some of the unnatural skills add a little of spice to the game. ( And since Ninja lore classically has a lot of illusionism and myth going on, I think adding a bit of Japanese folklore helps make the game just a tad bit more interesting. )

Tenchu 4 fixes that I think

  • actually its 7 million in new york

  • yes and how many people live in Japan lol? its a little island...

  • dun get cocky here u white bastard.dun underestimate Asians u white fuck

  • julius lol your respond doesnt even make sense why are u telling me to not underestimate asians and calling me white(im not white u stupid shit) just cuz i said more people ar in U.S then Japan and that New York has 7 million people....

  • lol worse for them if they dont realease it in the U.S... lol in fact why even bother making the game, theyr gonna loose a lot of money

  • The game is a hit in Japan.

  • im so sad that this is only going to be released in japan ;(

  • This won't be for xbox 360? :(

  • Afraid not, brother =( I emailed them and asked them, but at this point... We'll be lucky if they even make an english version. Spike/Acquire seems to have given up on the US.

  • bullshit!

  • That was 8 months ago, genius. How about you learn to read.

  • Sweet, just made a music vid with the first two's openings and onimusha.

  • Are they still making this an exclusive on the PS3? Oh please say no (I own a ps2 but got a 360

  • then you are a traitor hence dont deserve this

  • its says exlusive for ps3 i just read it a minute ago sorry

  • it's okay ignacioarmas, *sigh* wel that's what you get when you side the 360.....

  • well the ps3 has gotten alot cheaper now why not try and get one i have an xbox and a ps3 now imma getin a wii just so i dont have to worry about the exclusive crap anymore

  • You never no they might do a multiplatform release. Its still in they works so no way to be sure. Look at FF13. But Way Of The Samurai isnt a huge title. So im not sure XBox would pay money to gets rights for it.

  • ahah too bad bro, its exclusively on Playstation . :)(btw i have a 360):D

  • ryu ga gotoku kenzan yakuza 3. is better!!!!!!!

  • This is true, but Yakuza does not encourage as many conversation choices.

  • i'm also fan of yakuza 1-2. yakuza 3 coming 2009! way of the samurai 2 is good i definetely buy way of the samurai 3! i also like kengo 2 and 3. and also onimusha 5 is coming out soon!!!!!

  • Please! PLEASE come to europe.

    Add trophies too!

  • if it's not come just buy japanese version on ebay!

  • Hey there, any news of an english release further down the 'pike yet?

  • Not yet. As of right now, Spike seems to be concentrating first on Way of the Samurai PSP. That's going to be released on the 18th. Hopefully afterward, they're going to finalize Way of the Samurai 3's details.

  • I'm definatly buying this game! Hey bro let me know what your ps3 ID is so we can play online.

  • I'll let you know as soon as I get it

  • the first was great the second was also good i hope the third is even better which it looks to be

  • It is a PS3 exclusive.

  • The first one has always been my favorite.

  • Way of the Samurai 1 and 2 were the greatest games ever. I would spend 500 dollars on a PS3..Just to buy this game.

  • I agree totally. I finally broke down and bought one over the weekend. I think I've managed to forgive Sony for not bringing Shinobido to the US. They've finally done away with game region locks- at least for the moment.

  • I actually played Shinobido last year, and though I thought it was unique in some ways and had some neat ideas, the combat was made tediously difficult and annoying because of the cumbersome controls. Still, I enjoyed it enough to finish it.

Eagerly anticipating WOTS 3 btw. Loved the second one, and let's hope this 3rd one does not lose the previous' charm and it has some neat new features as well.

  • Yeah, I agree with you. The controls needed some work. But everything that Spike/Acquire puts out is flawed in some way or another. But their innovative concepts really shine through. Shinobido's cause and effect system will probably have some impact on this game's setup.

  • Shinobido was fine! I'm looking forward when the new one comes out..

  • its only in japan you would be wasting money

  • You can buy these games on the internet, you know.

  • of course you can most ps3s come with a built in mod converter but other then that we are not getting them in US no version is being traslated into english all we might get is way of the samurai online for 360

  • We probably won't even get that.

If they're not sending Way Of The Samurai 3 over here, then I doubt they'll send the others.

I don't know about you, but I have my Japanese version being shipped to my house, if you want this game, I suggest you do the same.

  • well we might remeber 360 is a american owned buisness not japanesse and no im not importing any games in im ok with the ones i have here

  • The 360 is a console, not a business.

Microsoft is a business, which only defends my point because it's not Japanese.

  • of course it does and it doesnt because way of the samurai online is not part of the series its a diffrent company making it

  • Wow SWeet! I just bought the first one off ebay! Im glad they are still making games like this!

  • I want that game to come to the US sooo bad, this looks like thr true sucessor to the 1st Way Of The Samurai.

  • Is this exclusive in japan if it is ill still buy it but I wounder, Im on my PS3 right now actully Love this series

  • As of right now, its only for Japan. Keep your fingers crossed. Perhaps Ubisoft will step in and publish it like Tenchu 4.

  • wow look at that fish!

i hope they put like 400 swords in this game

  • you used the music from fearless!!!with jet li!!!WRONG CHOICE OF MUSIC FOR A JAPANESE GAME!

  • Yeah, you're right. But I don't know any Japanese OSTs, because they never release many movies internationally.

  • get the music from the film called "shinobi"

    (2005)

  • Alright, next movie I make on it I'll use that film's OST. Also, be sure to check the updated video description.

  • thx for upcoming video,i reli going forward to it.

  • Once i buy ps3,then the first i buy is this game!Muahahahha,i gonna play this game 23 hours, resting 1 hours.Coz i enjoy this game very much.

  • Evryeone, now this is my first step into this game. So,i am quite surprise that this game is set in the period reign of shikage shogunate. If this time is set in nobunaga period, then got something interesting might happen.Yahoo, those who play taiko rishidden might know who is the greatest swordsmen of all Japan,u may know who is 上泉信钢 and 柳生宗严。HAHAHAHA,GOT OPPORTUNITY TO KILL THEM,MUAHAHAHHA.

  • I think they were saying the Sakurai family has been a daimyo since the Ashikage Shogunate, so probably for a while. I don't know if the actual game takes place then.

  • isnt the greatest swords man in japan called myamoto musashi?

  • Many people contest that Jubei Yagyu was better.

  • i dont think so...miyamoto musashi had 2 swords....wouldent that give him an advantage?...and people say kojiro sasaki was second best...but miyamoto killed him....but im still wondering if Honda Tadakatsu was better than all of them?

  • Jubei Yagyu's clan were the sword instructors for Ieyasu Tokugawa. While Musashi's combat was definitely effective, he didn't seem to have any sucess in wars like Honda did. Mostly, Musashi won battles by psychological tactics.

  • well....your right about Musashi winning battles by psychological tactics...there was a master who used the kurarigamaa(sickle and chain) very effectivly ...musashi tricked him into fighting in bamboo forest....the kusarigama is not very effective in close quarters...so musashi won! he toemnted kojiro by being 3 hours late then used the sunlight to his advantage!

did you know Jubei was also a ninja?and really honda was ieyasus main general! and hattori hanzo was ieyasus main ninja leader!

  • Shishido Baiken- he was unmatched up to that point. Musashi definitely had skill, and he overcame many barriers to become a sort of celebrity. But being the best? Many think he's exaggerated. Despite that, he is my favorite samurai of course.

Yeah, Jubei was an assassin on the side. The leader of the Ura Yagyu, or secret Yagyu. A sort of secret service for the Tokugawa. His family's style was forged in the mountains and was brutally effective. Not a showy display of sword swings like some.

  • yh so did hattori hanzo....he worked for ieyasu

  • Yeah, but Hanzo was dead by the time Jubei started his job. Killed by that worm, Kotaro.

  • ahahaha!!!

my god...you know alot...im starting to like you!

    but still kotaro tricked hanzo...

  • Yeah, its very anti-climactic. The greatest ninja, killed on a burning boat. By some filthy ninja-bandit no less. I probably would have been satisfied if he managed to kill Kotaro in the final moments. But it wasn't meant to be. At least Kotaro was humiliated by the fall of the Hojo clan.

  • and omg...you even know how kotaro tricked him!

but arent ninjas dihounrable bandits anyways??? they usually attack from behind...isnt that disshounrable?

  • Some of them were. But overall, they just had the objective of getting the job done regardless of the means.

They usually were in the service of some lord, and held fast to being loyal to them. Hanzo, even though he was called Devil Hanzo, couldn't finish off one of Ieyasu's sons when he was given the task.

Kotaro helped the Hojo clan. But he all pillaged boats often.

And Yukimura Sanada, who learned ninjitsu- served the Toyotomi. He knew death was knocking at the door, but still fought

  • I enjoyed the first game in the series. I look foward to this one.

  • lol , the giant fish ~
