@samanthak2205 Harry Potter does have some brilliant writing, but in my opinion, nothing compares to LOTR. I mean, JK Rowling did take a couple of lines and story ideas from it, but who can really blame her? Plus, she created a wonderful series with more than just stuff she took from LOTR, so I really can't complain :P

@JustUrAverageGirls you're not alone. i was the same way :) the movie came out when i was 6 and i saw it in theaters. I loved it as well as the second and third. By the time the 4th one came around i was disappointed. It wasn't the Potter that I loved (mostly because it was getting darker). when DHP1 came out ( i was 15) i saw it with a friend and loved it. i read the books and watched the films. as i read and watched, i realized that the Potter that I loved never went away :) Potter for life!
I hate it when people compare Twilight with Harry Potter. Harry Potter is something different, something unique, something that makes me believe. I cried when Harry Potter ended, it has been a huge part of my childhood and it will remain a huge part of my life. Twilight is a bunch of cliche vampires and werewolves, no-one like J.K Rowling can make something so different and delightful, Harry Potter has an ingenius spark of creativity. I love you Harry Potter and you will always be in my heart.

Harry Potter has affected my life in so many ways I couldn't even attempt to put them all in writing. I have learned life lessons on how to deal with loss and love and friendship through these books that I've had the great privilege to grow up with. They've truly had a deep impression my life in so many ways and I will never, ever forget that. Thank you Jo Rowling for bringing your dreams into my life and thank you to Dan, Emma, Rupert & all else for bringing them to screen. Simply Incredible.
I just want to remark that Daniel has really prepared well his speech and it had more sense than those of Emma or Rupert. I think that shows his consistency and sense of purpose!
im gonna miss the excitement and anticipation I had every year waiting for another harry potter movie to come out and being blown away and then waiting again and again and its sad to say its the end and i have no more harry potter to look forward to year after year :( its been great and im so glad that this movie has been part of my child hood since i was 6 :) i couldnt have asked for anything better

Everything that all of you have been through with Harry Potter, happy and teary, happened to me in two weeks. I started reading the books when I was 11, so I cried about not getting my letter, finished the series, waited for the eigth movie to be released, complained about the missing pieces in every movie, came home happy, and then began to cry.
My journey was over.
But everything about it clasped my memories and never let go. These books, this world, will be with me forever. Thank you, Jo.
And J.K. Rowling maybe could write another book...Just not about Harry Potter ! I would love to read a book about the lifes, in Hogwarts, of James Sirius, Albus Severus, Lily Luna, Rose, Hugo, Teddy Lupin,... You wouldn't love that too (: ?

When I was 11 my dad and I went to the movie theater; while he decided to watch another movie, I got to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by myself. :D It was a brilliant beginning. Now, as I have faithfully watched all the films in theaters and own the movies and watched HP Part 2 at the midnight premiere, I am still looking forward to next year. It is not over folks. Nope, just the beginning. I say JK Rowling needs to write another amazing series!
I almost started crying! I can't believe it's over! Why couldn't the bookseries go all the way up to 14 books! When it ended, I felt like one entire side of me just shut down. ='(
@huboot Yes a movie, with a big story in it, in fantasy and in real life, both. In both worlds it has big part, they are not stupid, they are doing the right thing while crying and stuff, they have a good reason for it. You should understand and read better what Harry Potter is, because apparently you don't know it quite right.
I don't think that there will never be a more special story in the world. Harry Potter will live for ever inside me. It is a part of me. It will always be. And 50 years from now, after I tell my grandchildren about this great story that I love, and they ask me "After all this time?", I will answer most proudly "Always."
I just consider myself very lucky that I got to grow up with these amazing books and movies. They have always been suitable for my age. I mean, when I saw the first move for the first time I was six, and then the movies were more childish. Now I'm seventeen and the last movie was perfect for me. They've ALWAYS been perfect for me.
Harry Potter will be remembered in the future, Twilight will not.

To all those who are new fans, your not alone. I am also a new HUGE fan of Harry Potter. i used to not like it at all but that has COMPLETELY changed. its tied as my favorite movie, with LoTR, and is just...just absolutely beautiful of a story!! im reading OOTP for the first time. its really good and will hopefully get the books for xmas or my 19th bday in december. I discovered "Harry Potter" really recently and thanks to a dear friend who is a big fan of it.
Before I was skeptical, I had never read the books, I had only seen a few films ..
then, a few months ago I started to feel that something was missing, everyone was crazy about Harry Potter, I began to ask me why he's so special and so I decided to read the books ..!
I love JK Rowling and I think this woman deserves all the success she has because he has brought millions of kids and guys to read, which is not easy for a writer .. but it is essential to become a great writer!and she is!!!
Moreover, thanks to the film we were lucky enough to know young talents who will hopefully make career.
@Kiocciolasmile I think that besides this being the greatest cast of all time, i think that the trio were played PER-FECT-LY. ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY. Daniel, Rupert and my favorite Emma did such a good job that there is nearly nothing bad about them.
Harry Potter has been with me all my life, now that its over i feel kind of empty. No more going to the theaters every summer to see the new movie which seems so epic, no more having to wait for a year. No more pouring over every page of every book. *sigh* Oh yeah, and I swear if ANYBODY tries to do a remake of Harry Potter, we will hunt you down and destroy you. When I was 11 my dad and I went to the movie theater; while he decided to watch another movie, I got to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by myself. :D It was a brilliant beginning. Now, as I have faithfully watched all the films in theaters and own the movies and watched HP Part 2 at the midnight premiere, I am still looking forward to next year. It is not over folks. Nope, just the beginning. I say JK Rowling needs to write another amazing series!

In both worlds it has big part, they are not stupid, they are doing the right thing while crying and stuff, they have a good reason for it. I don't think that there will never be a more special story in the world. Harry Potter will live for ever inside me. It is a part of me. It will always be. And 50 years from now, after I tell my grandchildren about this great story that I love, and they ask me "After all this time?", I will answer most proudly "Always."

I just consider myself very lucky that I got to grow up with these amazing books and movies. They have always been suitable for my age. I mean, when I saw the first move for the first time I was six, and then the movies were more childish. Now I'm seventeen and the last movie was perfect for me. They've ALWAYS been perfect for me.
Harry Potter will be remembered in the future, Twilight will not.

To all those who are new fans, your not alone. I am also a new HUGE fan of Harry Potter. i used to not like it at all but that has COMPLETELY changed. its tied as my favorite movie, with LoTR, and is just...just absolutely beautiful of a story!! im reading OOTP for the first time. its really good and will hopefully get the books for xmas or my 19th bday in december. Emma, Daniel, and Rupert are some of the best actors ive ever seen. Emma is my favorite actress and the boys are just amazing!!

Daniel Radcliffe was the PERFECT Harry Potter , addition to being a wonderful guy, he is also a talented actor.
Rupert Grint, was the perfect Ron and Emma Watson, so sweet .. she was the perfect Hermione.
It 'a shame it's over, but it is clear to everyone that it is been a masterpiece!
