  • Thanks for posting this special song, my favorite Dead song . Real bitter sweet,It reminds me of friends in the past that I loved and are not around anymore. I really dig Dave Nelson and the Riders, Maybe you can do some of their stuff not to much on YT

  • i like it

  • this sounded just like the studio version...are you saying that that solo wasnt jerry? thats very interesting, and either way its a great interpretation sounds great.

  • Nice B-Bender work!!

  • Nice b-bender solo. Don't see them too often, but they sure add a nice touch.

  • great!

  • I would to hear the full version. A lot of people on YT have tried however failed miserably.....you sound spot on

  • Nelson and not Garcia! - Well, I never knew. Nice playing.

  • can you send me the tabs plz?????

  • sorry, played it by ear.

  • @ShawnIsAnAsshole I saw a tab for this intro on Google

  • thanks, that's great to see. Many folks think it's Jerry Garcia playing pedal steel! David Nelson is the bomb, and so is that rig! Keep on, bro!

  • Most important -- just keep playing, don't sweat the small stuff, ALL good things in TIME, my friend...

There's no perfect, no black and white, no hurry, etc... YOU already know that.

Goin' back to my broken/beaten down Birkenstocks, if I have to strap 'em on w/ duct tape... ; )

  • shit man that sounded great. good point about dave nelson. very few people realize that jerry played piano on that tune and not guitar. peace out.

  • you wouldnt mind tabbing wat youve figured out the solo to be, would you?

  • nice that is a sweet solo. ive always done it w/o a bender, cept my finger. a new perspective is good

  • tab?

  • Didn't have any. Just kept on listening to the solo over and over again. I am also not good at writing tab. More of a play it by ear guy.

  • right fuckin on man, nice!

  • You nailed it !!

  • That was really good man.

  • Awesome -but why such a short version. I would have really dug about a 5-7 min version of this.

  • Thanks for the compliment. The reason why it was so short was because I was only trying to play the solo.

  • NICE! That solo always puts a smile on my face. Thanks for posting it. Love that B-bender.

  • yeah ,,garcia doesnt do one guitar solo on the album other than candyman and thats with his pedal steel...odd for a band thats knowen for their lead guirarist...beutiful album...and good job to you on this vid,,,fender was selling teles with the b bender a while back but i dont think they do any more,,,does anybody have any info on this? being a banjo player i can really pick the shit out of guitars so it would be fun to tangle with one of those bitches!

  • they do make b-bender teles

played a week ago at guitar center very nice

and if you want you can send a guitar to the b-bender mod place and they install the b bender on i believe any electric guitar

  • good job

  • sounds damn nice

  • very nice sound

  • Great job, I love this song

  • Nelson and not Garcia...? I never knew this.

  • I always had assumed that that was just bends, not B-bends.

    Now I need a B-bender more!

  • damn B Benders rule

  • total respect for clarence white, who really could play incredible and who got killed way too young, now you can bend strings with just the left hand.still shows how creative clarence white was.

  • What a great, great song!!!

  • Just picked up a modified Nashville with the Parsons/Green bender. Your playing is my inspiration and education at the moment, so keep posting the excellent licks!!!!

  • thanks for the compliment

  • Sounds great! My only advice to you is that you've now that you've got all the notes down, work on the fluidity a bit. Love the B-Bender!

  • Thanks for the compliment. This b-bending thing is a work in progress and hopefully I will get it more fluid.

  • I've been wondering for some time, how does a b-bender work? You just push the body down and it bends the b string?

  • Essentially, yes. The strap is connected to a mechanism that is built in to the back of the guitar. When you push down, it activates the mechanism, bending the string up a half or whole step..

  • I love it!
