I've always been puzzled with Loretta Sanchez' obsessive anti-Viet tactics that have gone on for far too long. During her campaign, I sort of turned a blind eye to it, taking into consideration that her Vietnamese opponent, Van Tran. But after winning the elections, she still wouldn't stop & has continued w/ her relentless anti-Viet crusade. I wonder what is her purpose? I'm a democrat, part-Viet & had voted for her. She just won't stop at nothing to smear Viets. Now, she frightens me.

Van Tran is what WE RAZA call the Miami Cuban American' "GUSANOS" (counter revolutionary "WORMS"!) It infuriates me to no end when open border/ pro illegal alien people claim that someone is "anti immigrant" when in reality, they are anti ILLEGAL immigrant. There is a difference. Van Tran is himself an immigrant, I am the child of LEGAL immigrants from El Salvador. I support LEGAL immigration 100%. That said, I (and my immigrant parents) are 100% against illegal immigration. It is wrong.

@memama2 Racism now has a very narrow definition: "Any perceived offense committed against people with olive (or darker) skin, any perceived offense against anyone of Latin and Arab origin or any one who is not here legally" Unless these specific criteria are met, it is only considered as "social justice".

As a Mexican-American I am disgusted and embarrassed by Ms. Sanchez's comments. These are comments befitting of an idiot student running for 9th grade student body president. It is clear that this woman isn't very smart or worse.
I live in California's 32nd Congressional District, and I along with thousands of Latinos had no problem voting for Judy Chu. So, my message to Van Tran and the members of the Vietnamese community is that the vast majority of Latinos DO NOT think like Loretta Sanchez.
