i have a 95' MR2 and i dropped in a 3MZ-FE engine so (3.3l v6) and found a supercharger kit for that and the most fun ive had with that car was throughout all the build

i love miata's an rotarys can be nasty motors.

they want 1200 out the door. an they will tow it to my house on a flat bed.

its in great shape but just needs alot of suspension work an trans work. thats about it. motor sounds great an runs like a champ.

yeah i was wondering that. since the miata is already a 4 cyl. wouldn't swapping it to a rotary ruin the MPG? And what, if could, a RX8 motor swap in it? I wanna have a rotary miata, but, i also don't want to lose the MPG. I mean if its a little bit of loss, thats fine for me, but if its a major, then I guess I'd get an NA and swap a 1.8 in it. but still rotaries are very good tuners, they have no limit and you can surpass even V8's.

@sklyrovka actually rotarys arent that horrible on fuel and theyre only getting better. The rx7 gets around 20mpg. In a lighter more aerodynamic car that'd be even more. Also when you think about it a rotary is 1/3 stroke while a piston engine is 4 stroke. That means the rotary should be burning 12 times the fuel that a piston engine would. But thats obviously not true. Think if you had a 2 stroke piston engine (and if it was possible a 1 or 1/3 stroke) it'd burn way more fuel than a rotary.

@JD0x0 IIRC, a rotor fires once per revolution of the output shaft. So a 2 rotor would fire as often as a 2 cyl 2-stroke or a 4 cyl 4-stroke. The main reason 2-stoke are inefficient as far as I understand, is unburnt fuel going out the exhaust before the port closes. I don't know how well direct injected 2-strokes work, but a lot of ship engines are built like that, so it can't be too bad.

yeah they are 0. these wheels are 8 wide, which are quite easy to fit if you are using a 195/50 or 45 tire.

dont worry about staggaring sizes on a miata.

How did/do you like those coilovers? They are the most inexpensive ones I want, I can't afford the Stance GR ones.. Is not being able to adjust the dampening affecting your control of the car? The only other downside to the teins is that they dont have pillowballs like the stance do. Im just wondering if I should wait and save my money, which is hard on a college student.
