My cat tries to do this with his dry food. Once he picks it up with his paw and tries to get to his mouth it all flings everywhere. Then he tries again....I'm not really sure when he gets an actual bite of his dry food. Lol.

My cat used to do that. He'd try and scoop up a 'paw'-ful of dry food and eat it. His method, seeing as he does not have palms, often led to a lot of dry food being scattered around his bowl : ) now he just shoves his head in for about ten minutes crunching away. :D
