  • "Two Dozen Roses" hit number one on the Billboard Country Singles chart the week of 12/16/89.

  • I wish I could get close enough to give her two dozens roses...

  • Shenandoah one of the biggest bands of it's day and time I just love their sound!!!!

  • if you like shenandoah you should check out restless heart

  • Maybe if I cried a little harder and got a little less sleep that night and had 2 dozen roses MAYBE.... JUST MAYBE IT WOULD'VE BEEN OKAY:-(

  • I miss these guys soooo much. Country music will never be as good as it was then!

  • I wonder what it would've been like if i gave my girlfriend two dozen roses.... MAYBE..... IT WOULD'VE ALL BEEN O.K.

  • stop talking about your personal lives and give the great band Shenandoah some credit !

  • US men have got to be thankful for the women in "OUR" lives cause without the women in our life "WE" would be lost............ So comeing from a man to all the men out there be thankful for that Women in ur life...... Do all u can for that women.... Like Garth Brooks says "If Tommore Never Comes".

  • I've been there and done that and it got me some lovein too................

  • I have done that I all know to do..I can't change her mind..Man have I tried..it could be 4 dozen roses..and it still wouldn't get done..If your reading this, and you want to help me..tell her just how much, I'm sorry, and I want her..debbiekatonia@yahoo.com..she is my ex-wife, and she won't even talk to me..Man I miss her so bad..its been since 1987 since she divorced me..If you could, jackie truely appreciates you..jdgroning@yahoo.com..the other killer song for me is Brooks & Dunn ..Neon Moon.

  • My fav song

  • Comment removed

  • If I really could have hung the moon...would she have changed her mind? Probably not, but I would have done it if I could. Did anything and everything I could think of, but she's still gone.

  • That would be awsome

  • They need country music like this again it's too much like pop music now

  • Why didn't these guys play at the CMA Awards this past week?? They had Lionel Ritchie on there. LOL ....what part of " Dancing on the ceiling " is country? LOL Not that i don't like his music, it's awesome & anything of the 80's is awesome! But...Shenandoah should've been there, along with Alan Jackson, Daryl Singletary, & all the other great 90's country bands & beyond.

  • @spencerroos970 they do

  • another great band from the great state of ALABAMA!! RTR

  • @bassdeadhead Although roll tide is overrated..they are a great band:D

  • 15 people only had 23 roses....

  • I love this song

  • Classic got to love this one

  • It's amazing how you can completely forget about a song for years and then as soon as you hear it you remember every word. I love this song.

  • @DGENERATIONEXUS Sooooo True

  • @jdd32384 Garth Brooks is the best singer ever!!! MOST SUCESSFUL ARTIST EVER!!!!!!!!!! AWARDS DONT LIE. Look up Garth on Wikipedia and see for yourself

  • @Kinnalkey

I agree that Garth Brooks is good, but just because he was awarded stuff doesn't make him good. Look at all the country artists today that are awarded for their great singing, and it's nowhere near this good.

  • Comment removed

  • @Kinnalkey And he's also a sell out. He changed who he is, image and all, to put out a rock album, that SUCKED. Can't stand Garth Brooks. Mr. Strait takes home the trophy of best singer ever.

  • @MissTexass1 He made that album as a supporting album for a movie. The funding for the movie fell through, but he had already released the music.

  • @alm443024 Just like if Eminem tried to put out a country album, nobody would really buy it. He let down a lot of his fans by trying to turn into a 'rocker' whether it was a role or not. He took it to a whole new level trying to promote this new music he was trying to put out, regardless if it was for a movie or not.

  • country music was so much better back then

  • 15 people are still waiting for roses.

  • 15 people couldn't afford 2 dozen roses.

  • awsome song brings back memories of me growin up now this is the real country music

  • Country in its prime

  • @jwelsh1987 couldn't agree with you more.

  • @jwelsh1987 Seriously! Ahhh when people say they hate country, I respond, "Yeah, country on the radio today! But back in the 80's/90's it was fantastic!" (and I'm only 24, born in 87)

  • @KrissyL4ag Born in 1984 myself, and I agree, 80s and 90s were the best.

  • 15 people didnt have 2 dozen roses..........

  • If I had 2,000,000 views could it change your mind?

  • Make it right!!! Like they said! I want to feel something and music of this time does it!

  • Great sound, these are the kind of the country songs that i love.

  • Shenandoah was my favorite band of my younger days I was so sorry to see them break up.

  • Dedicated to my ex.. </3 </3

  • @newarkcatholicfan Seems like women want "two dozen 100 dollar bills" lol

  • Great two steping song.

  • These is a wonderful song!

  • Two Dozen Roses I remember When this song came out: I was just about 12 - 13 years old. It was one of my favorite songs.

  • this song takes me back

  • Kudos to Shenandoah one of my favorite bands, Marty Raybon and the boys put out countless hits back in the 90's that are still being played today on some radio stations. A band that put forth all their effort and made awesome ass music. Ghost in this house, its hard to live up to the rock, somewhere in the vicinity of the heart, sunday in the south and on and on. The list is to long to name, God bless u boys wherever u may be, and hope to see you again performing in the carolinas someday soon

  • @lno71 he left the band to try his on stuff dont think that work out to good foe him this was a gr8 band

  • Short list of all time best country groups: IMHO

Alabama, Shenandoah, nitty gritty, Blackhawk, Sawyer brown, CCR, Oak Ridge Boys, The Statler Brothers, I'm sure I'm missing some other great ones, but these top my list of favorites, God Bless them, their music and let us have some more just like them soon!

  • your right verry few songs mean anything anymore verry rare a song can make u think

  • Another song and group that I will always love.

  • If I had two dozen tunes like this !

  • Best country dance song of all time

  • shenandoah slays keith urban and rascall flatts!

  • In 1990 I was a DJ at KWKH in Shreveport and I played the hell out of this song!!

  • @drewminor63 lol, thats a very good thing

  • i demand the good ol country songs back screw this crap out now!!!!

  • great song!!! I miss those days of country that made you really feel something. great lyrics and melodies. memorable choruses. I hate country these days. no feeling at all. I haven't heard a song these days that really made me say "wow, that was a great song''. It's sad that those days are over. reply if you agree anyone.

  • @927Adam I'm 15 and I agree with you 200%!

  • @MrsHikaruHitachiin Sounds like you have good taste in music for only being 15. I'm glad that you have an ear for it. Happy to see that you are not suckered into todays crap. thanks for commenting.

  • i love this song...grew up on music like this

  • a classic!

  • I love this song with all my heart

  • Lovin' it!!

  • @MsJobros96 I'm 15 and this is all I ever listen to! I don't like the new country, it's not even country compared to this! I mean seriously, some mo-ron in Nashville thought it would be a good idea to have Justin Beiber sing at the CMA's!!!!! WTF!!!!! COUNTRY MUSIC awards, not gay boy sings like a girl awards! I wanna see George Strait and Alan Jackson walk on stage in the middle of his performance and SMACK HER!!!!!!!

  • @MrsHikaruHitachiin you got that right i love country music just like this not none of this new music and somebody better smack justin bieber

  • It takes listening to a song like this to make me remember why I loved country so much growing up in the 90's.

  • No more music like this...and that is a sad thing. So many good memories with this song. Wonderful band from yesteryear.

  • 11 bitches must like Taylor Swift!

  • @chevy2k1 Make that 12 now

  • @chevy2k1

I like Taylor. There's nothing wrong with her songs.

But I absolutely love older songs like this.

  • @twilightguardian I think you are right. Taylor ain't bad, but songs that are older like this are way better.

  • @TheBonjovifan1 For me it's not a contest of who is 'better' or 'worse'. It's dependent on the songs individually. This is partly why I rarely buy a CD. I also have to wonder if some of the people hate the newer stuff just because their nostalgia is getting bruised. Or maybe they're just too stuck in the past to realize that things change over time.

But that could also be said of us. But this song just owns everything.

  • @twilightguardian There is plenty wrong with taylor's songs, there is no soul to her voice, there is no steel guitar used in her music, she just flat ain't country so if you like her you must like pop music along with real country music

  • @Meljays1055 Bawww she doesn't use the instrument I like so her music looses points! );

  • DANG!! We need COUNTRY MUSIC BACK!!!!!!!!!! COUNTRY THESE DAYS AINT COUNTRY!!!! makes me wish i was a little older so i could appreciate that era even more

  • it sure would change my mind lol

  • @4Mufasa01 cute.

  • Deathcore for the win

  • very nice music i would what to go back to that time the country music we here is know is not all that

  • lord i can still remember driving like hell to get to a rodeo and doing good in the bull riding. meaning no broken bones that night. lol then two stepping the night away at the local club. man i miss those days. lol the rest is history. rip lane frost. godbless.

  • anyone who dislikes this isn't true country fans....i saw these guys at Rhialto Square a while back. Hell of a band to see live.

  • this song hits home. most of us can relate

  • 11 people had tears in there eyes and everything was blury so they mistaken the like but 4 the dislike button

  • @sk8tergurl1234556789 made them think of a one they lost!

  • now this right heres country, passionate romantic sensible and delicate

  • Marty Rabon has one of those instantly recognizable and distinctive voices; He will always be the sound of Shenandoah.

  • 11 homosexuals dislike this song

  • @fuselage87 im gay and love this song

  • @timhvi so am i and I love it also

  • @timhvi good for you-- kiss your man for all of us

  • This song would appeal to anyone - whether they typically liked country or not (I believe!).

  • for my daughter Kim. i do love you.

  • no the roses, the wine, n the moon are not what we want.... its ur love

  • Comment removed

  • @MsTNAngel tru but the rhythm and the sound of the guys voice and the soft beat of the drums is wat makes this song wat it is

  • I'm friends with Stan Munsey, the keyboard player, and he says the same thing. NOBODY makes country like this anymore, which is why I seldom listen to County Music anymore.

  • @wieserbud67... some new artists are slowly reverting back to the old country sound such as Easton Corbin and Dean Brody. But I definitely agree that need to bring sounds back like diamond rio, shenandoah, doug stone, keith whitley, ty herndon, restless heart and for women the judds, tanya tucker, pam tillis etc. but its all of us who love this sound so much that helps keep it alive!! Lets keep it up!!

  • @heartofacntrygrl huni easton corbins the next george strait, both their voices r amazing, hey we cant forget about luke bryan tho. he may newer but he sings about farms and stuff

  • i wish we could ALL bring this kinda country back, the good stuff like shenandoah, lori yates, dwight yoakam, clint black, diamond rio, the judds, sweethearts of the rodeo, tanya tucker, sammy kershaw, ricky van shelton, vern gosdin, rosanne cash, the tractors, alabama.

  • @weiserbud67 sammy kershaw came out with a new song you need to listen to it if you haven't already that goes for everyone. it's vintage kershaw. its called better than i used to be.

  • I normally hate country with a passion. But this sounds really good!!

  • This is some good ol country I miss the good country music

  • You are so right thundercatzr We need to take a step back, back to bands like this & bands like Blackhawk!! Country music nowadays has no feel to it

  • @Steelrunnin- I live next door to some people that are related to Marty Raybon, the singer for Shenandoah. I've never met him but I always thought that it was cool.

  • @Steelrunnin yeah.....I they cant sing a lick without the help of protools and auto tune. DiamondRio and Bands like this, can play the country music of today. BUT....the artist of today could never pull a songs off like this one. Simple but hard as hell to do and make it stay in the pocket and groove.

  • @Garton1970 Zac Brown could. They were all instrumentalists first, band second

  • good ol country

  • Love it, this song is lovely as it can be!!!

  • I wish country music still sounded this way..today it seems the substance and meaning just isnt there and the new stars all sound alike

  • @TheChikefan ik what u mean this is the best kinda country

  • One of the best songs EVER!!!

  • marty raybon came out with a solo cd about two months ago

  • well?!!.....would it change her mind?!

  • this song takes me back

  • it takes me back

  • amazing, this and george striat are the best

  • thats a good band right there

  • good country music :D

  • If he's smart, he'll open his eyes and see that he has a girl that loves him in his grasp. Give it time he'll come around! ;)

  • @2sweet2resist

Tell him, it's your life that you should be thinking about. Not hers. Note that she can get back at you.

  • Marty Raybon made Shenandoah. What a great voice!

  • i love this song sooooooooo much

  • great songs of all time

  • I always like this song!
