  • It depends on a lot of things man, sometimes even genetics, but you can never give up. Muscle takes a long time teo grow, that's just how it is, but there are people out there that cant seem to gro muslce just because of their genes. But, it helps alot for abs if u cut down a lot on fat, because then the muscles will be a lot easier to see. Eat lots of protein too. All ive ever done are crunched and leg lifts for my abs, no wierd shit :) best of luck man

  • If u wanna bulk up make sure u add carbs into ur diet too. Because just protien and low fat will make alot of lean muscle, and ull be strong as hel, but not much size. adding some carbs will give you that size :P also weights is probably the fastest way to bulk up, just dont hurt urself. Personally, I've never done weigts, and im 6'1" and 175 lbs at 17. im not a hulk, but im no frail wimp either. You just gotta find what works for you

  • actually, you don't need carbs. jsut lift heavier weight, like instead of benching...3 sets of 10 using 95, do 5 sets of 5 using 115, or 3 sets of 3 using120. just be sure you always start/finish doing pushups.

  • Hmm, I never use weight at all, every workout I've ever done is all bodyweight and I still have the six pac and quite some tonage going on :P

  • its easy.. do multipu ab workouts liek twisting, bending, ect. like crunchs and russian twists, do leg raises, do sets til failure basicly, also do leg holds(leg raises but hold) and the same for upper abdominals, plus run about half a mile a day.

  • Yup, you're very right. Once he stops training, his body is going to accumulate a lot of fats instinctively. Not that his body cannot burn down the fat, is that his body is used to burning a lot of fats, so the body is trained in such a way that it absorbs a hell lot of fats to burn. So with this process in place, to stop exercising is a killer and will become fat at a very fast rate. But of course, if he keeps on doing exercise then shouldn't be a problem.
