crosbys good but he fakes way too much. and crosbys teammates get no credit for anything. i opened a mag from usa hockey the week after the wings won and i saw nothing not one red wing noothing and after penguins won i saw alllll crosbby honestley no big deal that shes the first woman to win the cup

HOCKEYTOWN- as it relates to the wings- was just a PLAYOFF MARKETING SLOGAN.

I live in Michigan; and am a PENGUINS fan....... If there is a HOCKEYTOWN: Its in TORONTO or MONTREAL PERIOD!

If theres a HOCKEYTOWN USA: Its MINNESOTA- Where hockey where the WILD seelout all the games, Gophers hky has a huge following, and minor hockey is played and supported all over the state.

I was at game 7, and WASNT surprised by the CLASSLESS wing fans booing.

Kronwall is out until late first week of Feb and Franzen will be back at the latest the first of March. The Pens, last season, finished 26-16-5 (57 pts), an overall record of 45-28-9. The Wings, on their current pace, will finish 25-16-6 (56 pts). That would put them overall at 43-28-11 (97 pts). They are on pace to finish 7th in the West. Right now they're eighth with seven regs out. A lot of similarities between last year's Pens and this year's Wings. Good video. Best 2-3 Wings/Pens in '10!!

Red Wings fan again here. Since I couldn't get all I wanted to say in one comment, here's what else I wanted to say. Everyone seems to think the Wings are out of it this season. I've got news for you, the Wings are in the same position the Pens were last season, and look what happened. The Pens, after 35 games last season, were 19-12-4(42 pts). The Wings, this season after 35 games, are 18-12-5(41 pts). The Wings get five of their seven injured players back between now and mid-January. Nxt cmnt

Okay, Wings fan here now. Look, when the fans were booing in Detroit, it was when Gary Bettman came onto the ice and presented the Cup to Crosby. It had nothing to do with the Pens winning. Yes, Wings fans were disappointed that they were that close. And Pittsburgh was damn near close to being so quiet when the Wings won that you could hear a pin drop. The other thing is Detroit IS Hockeytown. No other team has won four cups in the last 12 years. That aside, Congrats on your Cup. C U in 2010!!

i don get why detroit fans get so mad they lost. first off pittsburgh fans respected when detroit won the cup in their house, so why did wings fans boo the pens. real classy. and look at hwo detroit plays in the playoffs, in the regular season thats all interference. every penalty by crosby was because zetterberg would sneak a slash in on him first, he was jsut dumb enough to retaliate. the wings got what they deserved.

exactly. i was in detroit for game 7 and as malkin was accepting the conn smythe some wings fan was screaming his lungs out that malkin should have been suspended, booing. just accept that you lost and shut it detroit. by the way, detroit is NOT hockey town. its funny because in the city you dont even know they have a hockey team until you get to the arena no signs or pride. toronto, montreal...those are REAL hockey towns,not shitty unemployed slum city, 'we think we're entitled to win' detroit.

Pittsburgh was outplaying Detroit in Game 7 until Crosby got injured. After that Detroit took over but the Pens weathered the storm and held off the Wings.

Also Detroit had more powerplays than Pittsburgh throughout the series even excluding Game 5 when all the Pens did was take penalties. The alleged offside was questionable and practically impossible to call. The goal wasn't even scored on a rush, the Pens cycled for another 20 seconds or so and then scored, so it's a lame excuse.

I knew the Pens would win when it got to game 7. The Dead Wings had zero Stanley Cup Finals game 7 experience (they always won in 4 games until last year in 6) and the Pens had plenty (Sykora, Kunitz, Garon, and others). It was odd that the thing the Pens were criticized for in 2008 (lack of experience) ended up doing the Red Wings in, in 2009.

Great video and song,My brother passed away from cancer last June 27th but i know his spirit was in the Joe Louis Arena last friday night to make sure the pens won the cup. Crosby,is King Malkin is da man and Fluery is the hero.GOOO PENS, PENS FOR LIFE!!

penguins aren't really a hated team so they probably won't have much of that.. detroit is expected to win it every year so there is more pressure on them then there will be with pittsburgh.. and they already handled it by losing to these same red wings last year in their own building to come back and win the cup in detroit and make history while doing it...
