This new film will probably give some insight into where the Aliens came from and what the "Space Jockey" is/was from the first film and their possible role in the creation of the Xenomorphs. Hey dude, hold your horses... this is only the trailer and Ridley has delibratly made it in a very simular manner to the original trailer for the 1979 film... It even has the same music soundtrack.

So far Ridley has set, with his two trailers, a standard of NOT showing the main villian so you're genuinly surprised in the actual film itself when the badass thing shows up by bursting out of Mr Olivander's chest!

Ripley's story has been told for the most part and Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection did their best to ruin the character and the franchise. I'm looking forward to the film. I personally am more interested in the Space Jockeys than the originof the Xenomorphs, but I have a feeling they are somehow both linked.

I also have an old Space Jockey model, the Machine the Jockey is sitting behind is a Navigation Telescope as described on the box.

Much like what James Cameron had stated, AVP and AVP:R ruined the Alien series. In fact, they were going to create a sequel, but Fox ruined that opportunity by making AVP.

I am very excited to see Prometheus, even though the Alien doesn't make an appearance. It shows the whole beginning of one of the most frightening things in science-fiction history. Great, a sequel to a science fiction classic by the same director and shot in digital with C.G.I. graphics...This is what I hate about the modern film industry. No wonder Kubrick died in the '90s--that's when all of this started...Don't get me wrong, this looks very interesting. It just bothers me how they could make something like 2001: A Space Odyssey in the '60s and Alien in the '70s with much better effects. Why are classic filmmakers following all these fads?

Not quite correct, you see the knife quickly slash Detective Arbogast in the face, but only briefly, as he is killed by the fall. The Shot is however filmed with such a skill, and delibrate composite shot effects that blurr the image slightly, that like the victim the audience isn't actually aware of what they have seen.

Different design thinking back then, no one really thought about making things look efficient or slick. I prefer that style too and immediately noticed how a) those trucks kinda look lame and b) the space suits are...just so flimsy. But that shouldn't ruin the movie for ya. Come on. Well theres plenty of Prometheus trailers out here on YT, but I cant really see anything wrong with this one either, not like its rick-rolled or anything like that. Either way I think the film itself is going to b good, feels like Ridley is trying to go bk to the style and feel of his first classic, and this Im liking. This is a film well worth watching at the Cinemas.
