welp , niggers had there chance to, run it they ruined it, the , blue eyed white devil made the niggers the way they are today, with his welfare, nigger hatein , white self , so look at the end results, place look like nacasaki japan, after the atom bomb., so look like the white man, and the niggers are going straight to hell, well all are perishing as fools, gotta go the ships sinking, i going with the rats.
@JohnnyP1776 Well, The whites should stop incarcerating people just because they are black. The only reason Kwame Kilpatrick is in jail is because the white police is racist
I read Detroit now has a large population of Muslims. You think they'll clean the place up . With a peaceful relion & a great sense of community it should soon be a beautiful paradise.....not!
How does a country in this condition have the arrogance to threaten and attack other countries and spend trillions on war???? Imagine what all the money spend on destroying Yugoslavia, Iraq and Afghanistan could have done for Detroit???
@alpidistra "the country" isn't in "this condition". Just the shit inter cities, where crime, drugs, and democrats milked the system dry. Thank Mayor Coleman. Pretty much what Obama has in store for the rest of the country.
@toadabc Yes, I realize that the whole country doesn't look like this, but the fact that there's a place like this in the United States indicates that the whole country could look like this really soon. To allow one of the key industrial cities of America to turn to a third world cesspit that looks like a war zone shows that America has some serious enemies within. Try finding a city like this in Germany or France. Some countries protect their strategic industries, others ship them off to China.
Where I live those brick queen anne, italianate, gothic and romanisc home are highly sought after. Beautiful 1875 1910 archecture. Stunning, unbelievable. These represent the classy neighborhoods of their day and the vacant lots were surely more of the same and you can imagine a "Meet Me In St. Louis" theme played out on these streets every day many years ago - all long gone.
I bet you could fill hours of videos of all the abandoned homes. Its crazy how the national media completely ignores this story. The only reporting I've seen is from canada.
This is such a tragedy. Detroit was such a beautiful city. I just wish people would realise that the downfall of Detroit is not an issue of race, nationality, or political affiliation, but a HUMAN problem. So Sad.... I hope to be able to travel to Detroit to document as much as I can in photos before it's all gone. I grew up in Pontiac.
Its really hard to watch this. I'm from Detroit and it just sickening. I want to love my home, but its hard when this images can be in any area of the city. East, west, north, south, Detroit has become the poster child of urban decay. Its even worse when my friends from Toronto or NY come and they are SHOCKED at how effed up it is here. Well keep your fingers crossed for me, I'm moving back to NY in January.
My grandmother lived in Detroit, she lived in constant fear, she was the only white person in several blocks. The kids in the area terrorized her at night so much that she slept in the living room and would not go to the kitchen or bedroom at night.None of the neighbors offered help or any kindness at all,my mom used to take me down there once a month to cut the grass. So many nice looking houses that are trashed, it breaks the heart, you can't find houses with that much character anymore.
This is a painful to watch. My mother grew up in Detroit and I have fond memories of going to visit my grandmother there. The old buildings are amazing architecture and it's a shame that we'll likely loose the bulk of them. Looks like things are well on their way to some sort of urban post-apocalyptic landscape like in games. Oh well, guys, you're all welcome to come over to my hovel and have some broiled Spider-goat haunch. Sorry, no androids allowed.
I was born in the D in 1953...left in 91 after a woman was stabbed to death in broad daylight right next to where my car was parked. Had I been a few minutes later it would have been me...guess the powers that be had other ideas. I truly love Detroit and it kills me to see this. The one home from my childhood has been torn down...the other...a huge brick is for sale for $3,000. If only it wasn't such a mess now I'd love to go back and buy it.
So depressing. This is what a half century of racial intolerance and flawed policy has done to what used to be one of the greatest cities to rise from the industrial age. Detroit still has great bones to rebuild from though.
Great video. I will be putting up one just like it in the near future, as I will be traveling through Motown very soon.

The guilty ones are those whites who abandoned the city just because they were not the majority of the population anymore. Thank you white people!
resireg 9 months ago
@resireg So what you're saying is, that it takes white people to keep the city vibrant, and functional? Why would that be I suppose?
