the malaysia games must presents this warrior to show that we shall cut off the contender heads off... hahaha must gives warrior spirits to the athelits
Dear Malaysian friends, please be informed. In Indonesia, "Borneo" and "Kalimantan" are synonyms. "Borneo" is a name used by the westerners (a corruption from "Brunai"), while "Kalimantan" is our native term. Our ancestors used this term to refer to the whole island when they did correspondence with Dutch colonial government. This is just a simple info, what you Malaysians prefer to use is up to you :)
Ah payah korang sume ni... Iban itu come from sungai Kahayan in Central Kalimantan. Actually many Ibanese pada tahun brpe tu migrate to Serawak... But msh de Iban di Kalimantan... Jadi, there are Sarawak's Ibanese, there are Central Kalimantan's Ibanese... And they have same culture, cz they are came from the same tribe: DAYAK IBAN...
This is Originally IBAN SARAWAK BUMI KENYALANG dance, it's literally not related to any indonesian.....i'm sorry, eventhough the story tell that the iban is actually came from indonesian........I"m proud with my culture...
actually, most ethnic in Sarawak migrate from Indonesia..back then, there's no Indonesia Or Sarawak..it's just an ISLAND called BORNEO full of TRIBE & CULTURE & A BEAUTIFUL ISLAND with Headhunters of course..no need to fight about this,we're in the same island..that's my point of view
@polianarunichii dude im frm borneo n ibans are sarawakians which is in malaysia..we are neigbouring to indonesia but no indon ..i should knw cause im an iban in borneo XD
@Kamikaze9393 I am so ashamed now... haha i'm sorry, because i've search "indonesian dance" in youtube to find this video... and i had no idea what was borneo iban about hahaha thanks for me me know... :D I'm interested for your culture... i hope i can visit malasya and indonesia someday... ^^
@mizjuliexu I never said Sarawak is not in Borneo, never denied the fact that Sarawak & Kalimantan were neighbour. Never denied the truth that Dayaks were all over Borneo. Never denied the truth that we are still related to one another after all we are probably the 3rd to 5th generations after separations between Kalimantan & Sarawak boundaries. I still have close relatives in Kalimantan.
@mizjuliexu But the reasons why i'm saying that "This is Iban in (from) Sarawak, not in (at) Kalimantan is only to explain to @deathcinnin that this is Iban from Sarawak as some tourist might get confused (e.g: @polianaruchii) every dayak is unique, and every dayak has different traditional costumes, even between Mualang & Iban although we are believed to come from the same family (race). I'm not here to argued but to explain and helping peoples (tourist) knows the differences between us.
