Just beautiful, playing, visual effects, the sound of the miked kit, everything. The best part is that you look like a polish version of John Bonham. You really should be in a top-notch Zep tribute band. Nastrovia!
very nice work. Most impressive feel. I've been studying zeppelin since age 10. I'm now 45. I started drumming when I was 19. Very very few drummers actually get the kind of feel you have. drums sound great also. Keep up the great work brother I'll keep an eye on your postings.

It would be interesting to see how well you play on regular songs. To tell whether or not to play on top are behind the beat. It drums sound great also. Hiya Joey, I think that's called a "rim shot". Just a hunch, lol. No, this ain't basketball, it's percussion related. "Pingy sound"? Agree about the effects. I can see double without 'em well enough!
Dude dont listen to all the bs on here you rock and thats it. The video FX are awesome and so are you dont stop playin. i wish i knew how to do the vid fx i have a similar drumming style and i love JB loved his 30min solo with the psychedelic sounds at the end that is the shiz that inspires the rest of us to pick up sticks and play. PEACE.
very nice, more bass. If you love odd measurements check me out! I can play every genre. I don't use the snare as a time keeper like most drummers. I'm always using different cymbal speeds that don't necessarily even sound good, but are more challenging because it's not norm. lol
Tell me, are you a fan at all of Ian Paice? He's another great drummer from Bonzo's era, and still very active with Deep Purple today. His stuff is not so easily replicated. Alot of Buddy Rich speed freak chops. Remember his solo "The Mule"?
You replied to this a year ago, and if you remember what you said about Ian Paice, I'd be amazed. I got another one for you. His stuff doesn't sound hard at all, but try playing it- Ritchie Hayward. He's the heartbeat of "Little Feat".
Yes, I am amazed. I can't remember what I said yesterday. Richie is, in my mind, way underrated. I mean, he recorded "Fatman in the Bathtub" and "Day at the Dog Races", for cryin' out loud. Never mind "Feats Don't Fail Me Now". I think, at least I hope, he is still alive. Last I heard he has cancer of the liver. Generally not a good prognosis.
Rick that is some awesome drumming. You got it down very, very well. I think the vid description says it all "Heavy and hard but backed up with many years of study..." Note that part kids. Drumming like this doesn't come without practice, practice, practice.
@ravenshire43 Don't think of it as practice though. Just play and love what you do and you'll continue to grow. If you think of what you are doing as practice, it will gradually wear you down. Think of it as playing music and you'll end up putting in more hours a day than you ever realized. That's how you get this good. Nice video.
jimmy page,s production gave bonham,s drums a powerhouse sound. it seems as though you,ve done a couple of things rick,,,you,ve reproduced that sound, and your style of playing is so bonhamesque. the left hand control and power is a bonham trademark.
Hey, Rick do you practice a lot too?? To become that good?? Sorry for the flooding but i just got ask these questions I have in my head that i cant ask people from here.. Now that I have a chance to ask a very good drummer like you and skillful I might add, is a chance that i wont let it pass...
Yes I still practise, not as much as I would like to. I try to listen to different styles of music to keep my mind and drumming fresh. You where asking about chops which means to me adding drum fills around a drum groove. I do work on finger control but I really depend on having strong wrists.
Really? I have the same theory too.... AT last, a drummer that understands conserving energy... Do you also practice your fingers? I mean the ones that does now hold the stick but help in the rebounds... Do you get what i mean?
I remember when I used an apple webcam for the first time
