I have a question for you regarding receiving mail. I have heard it's not easy. I can't find an option to mail anything out to Ecuador from USPS. How do you receive and send packages? Is it a big ordeal? Can you order still from online companies like you can from other places? Just curious! Thanks!
gracias a todos los turistas por encantarles nuestra ciudad ...Thanks to everybody,,and the video is realy nice ..we`ll meet there at this year..see you soon.
Do you intend to stay there as you age? I would love to do it, but at 73, health care is important. Oh I can pay the few dollars for routine care (Healthcare is much cheaper there), But if I should need something really major....organ transplant, etc, that would cost $500K in the states...it would still cost more than I could afford in Excuador ($200k?) . No Medicare, and even the ecuador insurance will not take anybody over 70.. So will you come back to the states?
Hi Little Jimmy Southern, I am not from the States so no I would not go back lol. Yes you are right they dont insure over 65 unfortunately. I would not hesitate to have an oepration in Cuenca as medical facilities are excellent and we have state of the art hospitals. I am not sure of the cost of organ transplant but expect it would be far cheaper. Many have now moved to Ecuador who are 70+++ quite amazing. Take care.
Hi...nice video! Probably will visit Cuenca next December. Just curious about the weather this time around.. too much rain? Cold? And what about the currency on your video $ = U.S. dollar? Gracias ( I am brazilian, from Brasilia).
@luizgustavolima Thanks for your words. The currency is USD. The weather depends. We can have 4 seasons in one day. Rain yes sure and sometimes more than other days. At the moment we are experiencing beautiful sunshiny mornings with temps going up to about 80 degrees and then the temp drops in the afternoon. December can be very pleasant.
