  • my dad said growing up tht at his grandparents house they would go out at night and there were so many lightning bugs tht he would swing a tennis rachet and they would get knocked out then he put them in a jar and watched them all night and release in the morning

  • I came from Sweden and moved to NY I loved the fireflies so much. Had never seen them ever, Now I live in the West and we don't have them here. I do miss them.

  • Charming! The best lightening bug vid by far. Thank you :)

  • SWEET

  • I remember "lightning bugs"! We used to chase them nearly every summer night when we were kids. Don't see them much, anymore. Wonder if they're all dying off with the bees?? How sad.

  • Most excellent! I remember the halcyon days of my youth in Mount Vernon, Ohio, when a dozen or more neighborhood children would gather at dusk to catch the "lightning bugs" that were seemingly everywhere. I read not long ago that these little critters (the bugs, not the children) were disappearing from many of the areas where they used to be abundant; I hope that they were not hunted to near extinction by us, the baby boomers. Highly appropriate music.

  • Cool!
