How does this compare to the EHX Small Stone? I have a Small Stone Nano but I hate how much the volume varies. The highs can get very loud so I feel like I'm always trying to match how hard I pick with where the filter is in its cycle. A compressor helps but I don't think I should need one just to make the pedal usable.
@ProGuitarShopDemos thanks for the quick response. i have the script with the led but im not sure im liking the plump mids it creates with my marshall 71 superlead....it seems to add mids and doesnt feel as open or bright as i had hoped. is the script handwired better at this without the mid or slight muffled thing im hearing? please help? thanks guys you rock!
@coolguy4sho Phase 90's will add midrange, that's what they do. The Block logo adds even more so if you're not happy with the Script, I'd go with something like the Blackout Whetstone or Retro Sonic Phaser which let's you blend in the effect signal. Good luck!
I was just curious...Are the descriptions on the top left of the screen during the demo MXR's or PGS's? For example, when Andy changes settings, it says "subtle phase", or "liquify" , etc. I know it's kind of silly to ask, but I just wondered. Thanks.
i cant believe how good your videos are! each one of them looks completely proffessional, and i cant believe you have over 600 of these, great job! :)
god i love that you guys at PGS are both good guitar players, and have such knowledge of guitar gear it really helps showing this equipment off. and plus you guys have a place in oregon like meh :P peace all and rock out
Yeah. I love the idea of building classic pedals to their original specs...but I'd rather they didn't leave out modern conveniences that make them easier to live with and shouldn't affect the tone -- like AC adapter inputs and LED status lights.
I think there's a tendency to assume a pedal with an old-school footswitch is true bypass, while a pedal with a Boss-style stomp surface is buffered. But of course a lot of pedals with old-school switches are not true bypass, and some pedals with modern Boss-style switches are true bypass (like the Digitech HardWire series).
Glad to see more people will become acquainted with it - it has the advantage of being more subtle than most other phasers, without sounding less rich. PGS guys, did we hear it placed after the overdrive or before?
The Tourist!!!!!!! YAY RADIOHEAD... Though having used it in the Effectrode Vibra Chorus demo... I must say I prefer it through the vibra chorus. Though interesting to hear it made with a single knobbed phaser! Such a great tune... MAS RADIOHEAD POR FAVOR!
Would be great to have a phase 90 that could switch down to a 2 stage phaser with this kind of transparency. It sounds great, but it doesn't really get deep and vocal like the 90 or the small stone.
a phase shifter on "Anarchy in the U.K." LOL.. I like this better than the 90 . The 'liquify' is really cool. Very much like Alex Lifeson's sound on "All the World's a Stage" . I missed if it can be powered by a standard 9V pedal board
Hell yeah Sex pistols.

I wish they'd make a block logo version with an LED and 9V jack. This is just a rediculously outdated pedal; quaint but pointless.

I don't like this demo, it doesn't really show the real sound of the pedal. He just using overdrive to boost the effect.
