Yeah we have like 18 baritones.... But only 4 of them are actually real baritones . The rest are trombones.... With the new freshman next year we will have at least 30 . 0_0

Watch the lines one of the good things about having big bands is the fact you can hide a lot of marching errors but overall damn that is one he'll of a band I've never seen that many people in one band since teal sound and bugle corps:)

@MusicRater01 They don't all go out and play. They have "shadows" who stay on the side, then they get a chance to challenge the person with the actual spot on the field during the shows.

This band makes my band look small:( I also go to a 5A school in Texas with about 3,000 students. The band I'm in at my school has 250 members....oh my god....what a huge band!!!

@TheMuta71 That's a big school.... I go to one of the smallest 6A schools in Alabama (Homewood, we have about 1,000) and we have i think 286 winds/percussion this year (plus 4 dm, 30 color guard, 26 dancers)

Our band is very close to this many people but we can't put them all on the field. We only march about half because if we put everyone on the field, we can't keep formations and it looks sloppy but this band. Wow... Very clean looking.

@crazyweathergirl thats what mr pennington, our band director says! but he wants us to be even louder! there is always room for improvement! he always says "i want you to pin me against a wall!" to which a bunch of my friends say "thats what she said" LOL

@MephilesTheDark647 You guys probably have a lot more funding at Allen. A lot of schools don't have that luxury and have to pay to participate (covering transportation, uniform rental, equipment, camps, etc).

My high school was based off fundraising, and grand total a season was about 500 - 600 bucks, because the shcool and county never funded us. Our program even has to purchase its own uniforms, 40,000 for that. Though, I'd imagine a school as big as Allen with great FB doesn't worry.

What's the head count at Allen this year? I'm having total band envy. I teach at a 4A high school, and you could almost fit TEN of my band into the Allen band.

@zharston I honestly don't know. I would estimate 500 or something, but I have no idea. Your probably right about fitting 10 of your band into the allen escadrille!

This year we had close to 580-600 kids in the band, which when added to the 50 color guard members and 60-80 members of the drill team made the close to 710 person Escadrille :)
