  • Hearns, I hate em a little too high on his head, he gotta hard head. i couldn't believe how hard is head is .No wonder why he keep his head bald, he gotta weapon head. hahhahahahahahahaha

  • Both these guys would ko Floyd Jr.

  • Why aren't there fighters like this nowadays?

  • Eat him up like Pac Man

  • Neither Pacquiao or Mayweather wouldn't have a chance againts those titans of the 80s.

  • @Domibond007 agree dude

  • Great fight!

  • Hagler would kick Mayweather's arse if they met at the same age in the same era.

  • @TheLecheMilk Mayweather would spend the fight running from Hagler. No way he could stand toe-to-toe with Hagler and he couldn't hurt him either, so it'd probably look like the Hagler/Leonard fight - we'd just have to hope that the judges didn't screw Hagler like they did back then.

  • LEGENDS

  • WARRIORS!!!

  • Tommy got the round right at 11:12, but not the winner

  • Hey Pacquiao you watching this? this is what TRUE champions do!!

  • And he's stylin' at 11.02 . . .

  • Love Marvin's ears @ at 10.43 It's one way to avoid hearing the trash talk LOL.

  • hearns would have ko'ed anybody else

  • how hagler did not go down is a mystery, that is why he was a legend

  • I am mexican but I just can't figure out Canelo Alvarez or Chavez Jr fighting either one of these guys!!! they would have been murdered in the ring!! Period!

  • This fight was on regular tv... These boxers fought for the love of the sport

  • "140 pounds of pancake batter" HAHHAHAHAHa

  • Thanks for the upload!

  • Dude...hearns beat duran...wtf are u talking about?

  • I know Hearns broke his right hand, but I don't think that made a difference. I think Hearns was over-confident. Hagler may have been, but Hagler had something to back it up. He was stronger and had a great chin. Hearns could not afford to be overconfident.

  • I love Lampley's opening statement, possibly the most excited fight in the 30 years of boxing. No it was the most exciting and as I said being from Detroit, I wanted Hearns to win, I was 12 when the fight took place, but Hearns lost to a great fighter in Hagler and there is no shame in that. Especially the the way they fought. I love both men as boxer. Styles make fights, look at the fight Duran gave Hagler and look at the non-fight Hearns had against Duran.

  • The uppercut in 1st round is what cut Hagler. So I don't know what Hagler is talking about. Also, Hagler thought he was going to go out and walk right Hearns and what happened was this, a great left hook followed by a right hand in that opening 10s and then Hagler was hurt and went to grab and was caught with an uppercut. Only fight I have ever seen Hagler grab, because he was hurt. Hagler went through a hell storm in that 1st and proved he had one of the greatest chins ever.

  • RIP Pat Petronelli. I was fortunate enough to have known him for a while, during the glory days of Marvin, and then afterward. He was a truly gracious and open guy, and he was married to a woman who was (and still is) truly a force of nature. I enjoyed many conversations with him, both about boxing and other things. He was a true old-school Boston Italian, in the best sense of the phrase. It's such a pity that the last years of his life were marred by illness. We miss you, Pat...all of us.

  • @lashutterbug Wow. I'm a huge boxing fan from england and I've the biggest repect for marvin hagler. he showed the most courage and ring generalship i've ever seen. it was disgraceful the way the "fans" in london behaved when hagler beat minter and i want everybody to know that real fight fans hold him in the highest regard. the petronnelis were perhaps the greatest of all corner men and I extend my best wishes to you, them and of course marvin! All the best from england, james

  • @jamesknox64 Hagler is in the top 5 of my favorite fighters, with Hearns being number 1. Being from Detroit, it is true what they say at least emotionally. We lived and died with Hearns when he lost to Leonard. The loss to Hagler was not as hurtful. But still. My favorite fighter are.

    1. Tommy Hearns

    2. Julio Caesar Chavez

    3. Manny Pacquiao

    4. Evander Holyfield

    5. Marvelous Marvin Hagler

  • @sinusbradycardia I understand that it is your opinion and you must have your reasons. But I must ask, why do you have holyfield on that list?

  • @sab3rm4st3r99 I think the reason I have Holyfield there is because he in his prime, he is one fighter who never left anything in the dressing room. Because he was supposed to be executed by Tyson in their 1st fight and Holyfield, like Douglas, was not afraid of Tyson. Remember, sometimes we compile these list on emotion. I could possibly post something different if ask again. It is hard to make such lists, I mean I surprised myself because I don't have Julian Jackson on there. Pure puncher.

  • @sinusbradycardia I understand what you mean, but let me tell you something. After the spinks fight Mike fired his trainer and his whole career went down hill from there. If he fought Holyfield in the shape he was in when he fought h Spinks, he would have won. I also have reason to believe that Holyfield was head butting Tyson, and it is said to be true. I respect your list other than Holyfield and Pacquiao.

Hagler best middleweight of all time.

  • @lashutterbug we had randy turpin of course who was pretty handy! might have given the marvelous one a run for his money! can't see marvin's chin cracking against anyone tho...

  • Im from the D and i gotta say Hagler was a beast I wanted Hearns to win bad but after seeing Hagler destroy Caveman lee i knew Hearns would have to box alas it was not to be

  • Gotta get me a few of those Fernet Branca shirts Hagler's cornermen are wearing at 1:50...

  • Hearns couldnt have beat Hagler..even if he used the ring post....

  • Let me make a statement.

Believe it or not, if Hearns didn't break his hand, he would have won.

  • @sab3rm4st3r99 no chance

  • @jatpattat Whatever you say bro....

  • This is the best first round in all of boxing history ! I dare anyone to find one better !

  • omg, i did'nt know legends and greats workout in kronk gym. man i went in there to workout for one day and it was super stuffy and hot in there, i wish i would'ev have stayed but sadly the place is now closed down because of low-life thieves stealing copper lol.

  • hey justentime77....you crazy? Mayweather 41-0!!!!! thats what true champions do...WIN!!!!

  • this is what boxing is missing today

  • After the second round, referee Richard Steele observed the amount of blood coming from the cut over Hagler's eye and asked him "can you see". Hagler's reply was "well I ain't missing him, am I?". Steele smiled and let Hagler's cornermen tend to him.

  • Hearns people certainly make allot of excuses

  • its wrong how they treated hagler its not fair so much skill and people hate him for it this man is a legend

  • I am from detroit; tommy was my guy. I still get frustrated that he wouldn't protect his head. lost to to leonard and hagler because he wouldn't box and protect his head. Tommy! Use that reach and box these guys...ugh! Keep your left hand up!

  • marvelous marvin. to all the young fights out there this man is what a fighter should be in all aspects of this sport ,quiters never win winners never quite, thank you marvin for being an insperation to me as a young kid in the 80,s just wished i could have fought %10 of how you fought and conducted yourself god bless champ

  • Thomas Hearns is my favorite fighter of all time. Because every time you saw a Hearns fight, you expected to see a knockout. Just about every one of his fights ended in a knockout. He gave the fans what they wanted.

Although Hearns lost this fight, this is my favorite boxing fight of all time. Hearns hurt Hagler 30 seconds into the fight (breaking his hand). Hagler perservered and crushed Tommy! I just got to put in a word for Tommy. Can you guys remember the right hand Tommy hit Duran with?

  • Sugar Ray Leonard a phony? Soft? Ducked fights? Where you people paying attention in the 80's?..Sugar Ray Leonard was a warrior that avenged his loss to Roberto Duran by embarrassing him so bad he quit in the ring. The so called "Hitman" threw everything he had at Sugar Ray only to be pummeled and damn near knocked out of the ring in the 14th rd. He capped off his domination of the "Other 3" by exposing Hagler as the washed up totally shot fighter he was. Leonard was the best of the "Big 4".

  • Hey, Mayweather...you watching this? This is what TRUE champions do!

  • @justentime77 BET U AINT A REL NIQQA smh at dis pactard

  • Hearns was leaning on the ropes against Leonard and was responsive..Too quick of a stoppage. Leonard was a smiling phony.

  • @LostBoyyy Hearns NEVER questioned that stoppage......

  • leonard ducked hagler til he was past it,hagler destroys leonard in his prime marvin is my second fave fighter of all time after ali p.s fuck jim lampley

  • . . . .such a shame Hearns was incapacitated by a broken hand or the result would have been in his favour. Hagler was just about to be annihilated by the Hitman who I believe to be the greatest of all time, Amen !!

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • hearns predicted his own loss 3rd round crazy...

  • HAGLER WAS THE REAL PACMAN

  • This was the equivalent of frazier vs ali #1, the hungry man beats the loud mouth. They don"t make fighters like hagler or hearns anymore, can I can a thumbs up for everyone who wants ortiz to beat mayweather?

  • top 5 greatest middleweights of all-time...1.ray robinson(also g.o.a.t. period) 2.ray leonard 3.marvin hagler 4.carlos monzon 5.bernard hopkins(doesnt get enough credit in my opinion)

  • ma bad

  • you can tell whats most important to Hagler 12:06 no woman WHAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • you can tell whats most important to Hagler 12:09 no woman WHAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • Amazing how someone can carry on with a broken hand...

  • James Toney vs Marvin Hagler would be a dream fight

  • @KravaLLT To me that's an insult to Marvin, frankly.

  • @pnutbutrncrackers James Toney is the greatest super middleweight who ever lived and the youngest middleweight champion ever. It's insult to me to explain that to someone who doesnt know shit about boxing

  • @KravaLLT KravaLLT, a very immature comment, replete with opinion-stated-as-fact, and 7th grade-level insults toward a person who had the audacity to hold a different viewpoint than yourself. Graduate beyond talk fit for a school cafeteria. How old are you, anyway? I don't mind you having what I think are inflated views of JT, but I do object to your silly lack of respect toward those who disagree. Try to do better next time, man.

  • @pnutbutrncrackers I box and I know what I'm talking about. Watch Hagler fight hearns. What you see? WILD punches! When he throws a punch he's off balance, he has no shoulder roll, no counters... Toney would eat him alive just like he did to Barkley

  • Comment removed

  • @KravaLLT First of all, excellent job making a more substantive comment -- all boxing. Having said that (sincerely), I totally disagree and think you're the first person I've ever heard of who came away UNimpressed with Hagler's performance vs. Hearns!! Thomas is my very favorite of all-time, btw, but I have nothing but HUGE respect for what Marvin did that night against the monster who was The Hit-Man. No counters? (scratching head)

(to be continued in next post ...)

  • @pnutbutrncrackers Now surely even you would not seriously compare Marvelous Marvin Hagler with Iran Barkley, right? I mean, c'mon. When you say that Toney would "eat Hagler alive" you must know that you are in a very, very small minority -- and it's tiny for good reason. Never was Hagler embarrassed and schooled by an opponent the way James Toney was vs. Roy Jones. Not to mention his two losses to Montell Griffin. + 3 more. How many did Hagler lose? 3 - and I thought he really beat Leonard.

  • Hearns never wanted to fight Duran again.

  • tommy hearns is one of the most humble fighters of all time....hear his interviews how humble he is.....number 3 fighter of the 80's

  • Hagler is a fucking sicko. He was robbed by SRL

  • vintage tyson would kill hagler.

  • @rzza08 he's a heavyweight....and hagler is a middleweight ...no comparison

  • @rzza08 lmao hagler was a middleweight tyson was a heavyweight.

  • Idiots. Duran had lost over 50 pounds in a short time to make weight for Hearns. The fight was fixed to build Hagler Hearns.

this is why I made a fortune on Hagler. the rest of you clowns can't see this at more than face value

  • @june1683

So Duran took a beating ? LOL

  • hearns predicted 3 rounds. too ironic LOL

  • @danhantheman Well, he got the round right, but that was about all ;-). Hagler was a wrecking machine. That's one fighter who was BORN with his game-face on.

  • dont make em like they used to

  • pac man indeed

  • According to Hearn's trainer, who also trained Prince Naseem Hamed, Naseem had more p4p punching power- he said it was almost supernatural when he pun him on the pads, how much power such a small body had. Just saying.

Hearns power was insane- KOing Duran so fast using that much power, it's almost cheating. Now, whenever Hagler and Hearns meet, Hagler drinks to Hearns. It would have been cool if Hearns didn't break his hand.

  • hagler, monzon or hopkins?

  • @graemeabdn I'd have to go with Hagler. You couldn't hurt the guy, and he'd just stalk them the entire fight. He was jipped in the Leonard fight.

  • @beenova leonard and hagler are both good

  • I was young when this fight happened. Like 7 years old. But even then I understood the intensity of this fight. A lot of people would feel ripped off to pay for 3 rounds of boxing. Not this fight. Worth every penny. Unbelieveable.

  • Comment removed

  • Freddy roach masterbated to this fight.

  • Hagler. The greatest middleweight of the last 50 years.

  • @donkeyboy27 hagler was not the greatest middleweight of the last 50 years. he was the best boxer, pure and simple, of modern boxing history.

  • @donkeyboy27 forget Hopkins' sore loser ass, Hagler ftw

  • @donkeyboy27..i'd put him second to ray leonard..its definitely debatable though

  • @donkeyboy27 You know your boxing dude! My uncle, who got me into boxing, was a big Sugar Ray Robinson fan. A great fighter! But if he fought Hagler in his prime, I'd put my money on Marvin!

In the Mugabi fight, he took devastating punches (they sounded like Joe Louis punches!). Marvin took em, hung in there and broke Mugabi to pieces!

When he ate that vicious bomb by Hearns 30 seconds in, I knew he'd win (and I'm a huge Hearns fan!).

I consider Hagler the greatest middleweight of all time!

  • @donkeyboy27 Hearns. The greatest middleweight ever.

  • @boxingisbomb U mean Junior Middleweight right?

  • @donkeyboy27 marvin hagler vs bernard hopkins

  • @AngelBattalion

Marvin in his prime would take Bernard to school and knock him out in the later rounds.

  • @donkeyboy27 bernard hopkins is a great boxer and without a doubt give marvin hagler a run for his money even if he does lose

  • @donkeyboy27 Hands down the greatest in that weight.

  • In 3 rounds(11:11), Hearns was right; but not about who will win.

  • the swearing makes you guys look like idiots.

  • @Crimmyboy if people want to swear let it's their right man. don't read it and don't bring your political views on others.

  • @Blacattacsquadron u live how u live and we live how we live. Hell all they ever did was swear in boxing its a mans sport, so its you who looks like an idiot. you tea party piece of crap

  • @Blacattacsquadron political? what? lmao if i want to protest against their swearing, its my right. live with it.

  • @Crimmyboy that comment makes you looks like an idiot+homo

  • @KingRhaul no, not really.

  • hagler is a fuckin beast

  • "where ever they place me in history i'll be happy.. because they don't have to place me at all" damn man Hearns is the man, same with Hagler. The great thing about boxing is the lessons u can learn from these greats about how to become a humble and better person and these two epitomize that

  • Why does my b-sack sweat so damn much?

  • These bouts were the ones that were ppv worthy. Not the crap they charge nowadays!

  • Does any one know how many punches were thrown in the first round? seemed like a thousand.

  • without a doubt, the fight of last century.

  • Hagler was such a bitter fukn cry baby. Go through court so they could be called 'MARVELOUS" Poor Marvin... Never cared for his ass. Leonard used his head like a PEZ DISPENSER !

  • I want to know where can I buy that hat on 10:54 I have searched all over the internet and I cant find it

  • @bigslynhs there are plenty of companies who do embroidering/work wear... call one, send them a flexfit hat in your size/colour you want, and have them Embroider WAR onto it.. I presume that's the hat you're talking about.

  • @bigslynhs It's one kickass hat ;-) If you can't find it, maybe go to cafepress. They could probably make it for you.

  • floyd will toy with hearns

  • @smackdownbb4

    LOL!!

  • @smackdownbb4 Did Floyd pay you to say that hehehehe. FLoyd would probally dress up as a bush so no one would see him hiding. Thats what the dudes good at hahaha.

  • @tatertots00 Your list is a matter of your opinion. I just respectfully disagree.

  • Top 3 greatest pound for pound fighters of the last 50 years

    1.Roy Jones Jr

    2.Julio Cesar Chavez

    3.Roberto Duran

  • @tatertots00 Are you kidding? No way you can be serious! I mean what exactly is your definition of a great pound for pound fighter anyhow?

  • @florob379 Just simply the best fighters

  • @tatertots00 The definition of a great pound for pound fighter is victories over quality opposition! You're witnessing that right now with Pacquiao. What about Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, or Muhammad Ali? If you were to have a poll of the top 3 greatest pound for pound fighters in the last 50 years, your top 3 won't crack top 10!

  • Comment removed

  • @florob379 You're retarded. What quality opposition? He fought JMM, Morales, Barrera, after all these 3 have been through career damaging wars. He fought Cotto after Cotto had his skulls dented by Margo's plaster. He makes everyone fight at catch weights. I presume you've never cut weight, that shit is affecting you badly enough, without making it worse via catchweights. He fought margo for a bs title, when margo wasn't even eligible for a title shot. Shall I go on?

  • @k4n31985

Funny but MAB and JMM won belts after fighting Pac.

  • @joeygonzo against what sort of opposition though... Would you say winning a belt from David Diaz was glamorous?

  • @joeygonzo champion /=/ champion, please start to realize that. Nowadays anyone with any sort of talent can be built into a champion even with an undefeated record, if you avoid the right people.

  • @k4n31985

Well MAB his belt at 130 against Morales.

JMM won his belt at 135 against Juan Diaz.

    Not exactly bums.

There were bums in the 80's who held belts as well.

Arturo Frias, Mamby and Harry Arroyo for example.

  • @florob379 also Mosley has been calling out Pacquiao since way over 4 years. Roach said, sure if you agree to a catchweight, thinking Shane wouldn't, but he did, so Roach said no. They waited for Mosley to be old and slower, like they do with most fighters.

  • Good points, Only. I'm just saying what kept him back. Lots of guys go through things and don't get their way right away and they're not beligerent dicks about it. That's all. He was a good fighter, no doubt about it.

  • Hagler could have made so much more money and been so much more popular if his personality wouldn't have been so ugly. He was always a victim, never got honest about himself or his fights, whining constantly. I hate listening to him talk even today. Calling Hearns ugly 20 years later. Still a dick.

  • @SelloutsWindsor Thats easy for you to say,you go live a minute of Marvin Haglers life, then see if you say some shit like that.Whining?you have NO IDEA how much bullshit he went thru in life.He wanted professional respect not personal popularity. He only trusted about 3 people in the whole world, tells you what shit he musta been thru in life

  • I wonder what would of happened if Hearns never broke his hand in round one.

  • @traedify Marvin would have actually fucking killed him thats what!the mood Hagler was in,God blessed Hearns by allowing his hand to get broke,or he would be dead today,if this had gone the full distance Tommy would be dead

  • @onlyjoetee I just think it would have been an even more memorable fight. I'm sure you know how tough Philly fighters were back then. Emmanuel Steward didn't even get a chance to make his mark. I do feel that Hagler would've won tho.

  • @traedify Tommy Hearns had NO defense at all, never knew what to do when hit,Stewart didnt teach him the art of defense.Hagler was like a stone, everyone who ever hit him said so.He was just harder than Hearns,he was ready for 20 rounds that night,he took Tommys best and didnt even flinch. The same punch that destroyed Duran and Cuevas,Hagler didnt even feel it.Man Tommy was damn lucky his hand broke,Even Marvin himself said it,if he had beat that count,he woulda fucking killed him!!

  • @onlyjoetee Trust me, you don't have to explain Marvelous to me. He is my third favorite middleweight. Of course Sugar Ray Robinson is my favorite. I have Bernard Hopkins ahead of him too, but its only because I personally witnessed his career. That doesn't mean that Hopkins would beat Hagler tho. Your money is good with either one. That Leonard victory over Hagler was grossly overrated. The same goes for the Leonard Duran rematch. Hitman is a solid hall of famer. You have good boxing knowledge.

  • @traedify I've never liked Hopkins,i find him, dull and dirty.Ray Leonard fought Hagler the way you can fight Hagler stick and move anything else he'd have been killed. He was great tho Hagler..

  • @onlyjoetee Ray Leonard acted feminine to me, especially against Duran. I like slick boxing tho. I like Hopkins because he could fight before boxing. He's rumored to have been 100-0 before he learned to box. Boxing is a dirty game. He had longevity too. He was 43 when he kicked Pavlik's ass. He then went on to win the light heavyweight belt from Tarver. He was a beast.

  • @traedify Leonard in the rematch had a perfect gameplan for Duran,he outboxed him totally outclassed him.If i was fighting Duran thats exactly what id do,surround him, bamboozle him with footwork and body movement.Hopkins had a great record,i've just never liked him,i cant watch his fights,i learn nothing except how to cheat and fight dirty.i find him overcautios and dull,he stifles fights, considered great but not my type of fighter at all

  • Comment removed

  • @traedify Marvin Hagler was the type fighter who came to kill your ass,not just beat you,but to kill your ass.Like sonny liston, mike tyson, gene fulmer, that kinda fighter.Especially on this night.when he said war,he wasnt playing!!!Tommy had the wrong game plan for Hagler, but i blame Stewart for that, you dont go to war with Marvin hagler!Ray Leonard was smarter,he understood this when he fought Hagler, dont war with him

  • @onlyjoetee ye Leonard was so smart that he intentionaly avoided Hagler as much as he can and when he couldnt avoid him anymore he decided to retire, then he waited in his retirement for Haglers abilities to go down and come back from retirement to chalenge him,u can see Leonard admits this strategy in documentary about Hagler here on you tube when he said that he knew he cant win Marvin when he was at his prime so he go retired and waited for right moment,he done same with Duran in second fight

  • @obrad79 oh please, keep telling yourself that bullshit if it helps you LOL

  • @obrad79 what the fuck are you talking about you mug leonard from 1979 to 1982 leonard defeated all the top contenders of his weight lol hagler was not read it was not in his weight class so your theory is the same as hagler all his career avoided michael spinks same weight difference and a different division ! but guess what leonard did move up in weight and fight hagler can you say the same about hagler you fuckin mug !! bitter bitter bitter lol

  • @sweetassugar69 go wach documentary here where Leonard himself say that he waited for Duran to go out of shape and when he said that he waited for right time to fight Marvin,it is not something i made up go and watch that documentries u have them here on youtube,he was waitng for some fighter to pass thers prime or to go out of shape and then he fighted them,it is Leonards words not mine, and only one who is mug here is u fucktard and only one here bitter bitter is u lol, fucking retard

  • @onlyjoetee I'm sorry if it seemed like I attacked your opinion. That's an impressive list. You have slick outside and inside fighters. They will certainly teach you the sweet science. My favorites are; Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Robinson, Ali, Chavez, Mayweaher Jr., Jack Johnson, Hagler, Pacquiao, Ezzard Charles, and lights out Toney.

  • @traedify we got very similar taste in fighters, except B-hop LOL.I got a big picture of Jack johnson and jim jeffries on my wall from that famous fight, very very good defensive fighter.im convinced he was the best HW ever,i doubt any of em woulda beat him on his best day.Ezzard i've never been drawn to even tho he was good, same with sugar ray,big respect but im not a fan LOL strange, when i watch the Basilio fight,im rootin for Carmen LOL.i like Ali but hate to praise him,he was arrogant enough

  • @onlyjoetee I feel that Jack Johnson was the greatest hw too. Ray Robinson was, in his prime, was as close to perfect as a fighter could be. Plus he fought a lot. He finished with 175 wins. He once fought 5 times in one month. My list should be purely based on skill, but I'm a brother. I have to factor in the social challenges. Its hard to fight when people hate you. I have to ask you a question. Who wins, Pacquiao or Mayweather? I can't decide.

  • Comment removed

  • @onlyjoetee Robinson's prime years weren't televised. I can't compare Floyd to him. Robinson put way more hurt on his opponents, even as an old man. His combinations were gorgeous. Floyd mainly throws one punch at a time. Floyd is a great boxer but Pacquiao is a pure kiler. He puts serious hurt on people. I think he has a great chance to outwork Floyd. Floyd really shows up in big moments tho. Like when he fought Corrales. You know how that turned out.

  • Comment removed

  • @traedify robinson is an all time great without question... deserves the number 1 spot... but comparing him to a modern boxer isnt fair for either party. you dont know if floyd couldve put hurt on old skool boxers or if modern boxers wouldve gave robinson trouble. FLoyds thing is he doesnt like to take risks.. you have to respect that because you see how tommy hearns is now, and what happend to meldrick taylor. Robinson is Robinson and floyd is floyd. Jack johnson is the man btw.

  • @seckzmachine The comparison is only unfair to Mayweather, who is my favorite by the way. Fighters back then fought longer fights and way more often. Robinson finished with 175 wins. Thats over 4 Mayweather careers with just his wins. He was way more mentally tough because of his era. People wanted him dead. On top of that, he went and won the middleweight championship. He was a true welterweight. He even challenged for the light heavyweight belt and lost due to heat exhaustion.

  • @seckzmachine He was even Ali's favorite fighter. Mayweather fights people and they feel like they still won. No one questioned Robinson. He literally kicked their ass. I'm a fighter myself so I can clearly see the difference between a great fighter and a great boxer. Robinson even killed a guy. Mayweather's entire career would have to be similar to his Corrales and Gatti fights to be anywhere close. Even tthen he would fall short. I just found a documentary on here. Please watch it.

  • @traedify well any fighter back then is tougher than modern day fighters... but the game is boxing.. its not who hurts people the most, thats what u guys forget. Its about whos the better boxer..

  • @onlyjoetee Floyd hasn't moved like that in 7 or 8 years. They have a Sugar Ray Robinson documentary on here. Check it out. Everybody wanted to be like him for a reason.

  • @traedify Yeah Robinson was great,im just not drawn to him at all,im not greatly drawn to either of the sugars,Robinson or Leonard,i respect them hugely, but im not really a fan

  • @traedify Robinson should def not have fought as much as he did.Maybe he needed the money for his flashy lifestlye etc that def caused him the dementure,he just fought too much.Very hard hitter with both hands tho, very good footwork as well, attack was his defense

  • Comment removed

  • @onlyjoetee Thats wassup. There isn't anything wrong with feeling that way. Besides, you personally watched Mayweather's career. He is high on my favorite list too.

  • Comment removed

  • @onlyjoetee look men.....perfect boxer?dont mention floyds name infront of these guys....haler hearns duran sugar ray....they fight each other until they prove who the best is...this guys has a pride where they fight everyone who calls them out.....no drug demanding issue...

  • Comment removed

  • @onlyjoetee are you out of your God dam mind talking about Floyd being more skilled than Leonard, Hearns and Duran!!!! You have to be the biggest Moron that ever printed anything about boxing. Floyd doesn't have a clue to what these guys have, Leonard's speed and combination and concentration would have blown floyd out of the state, Tommy would have knocked Floyd out in the first 15 seconds of th round and Duran would have raped Floyd and then raped him again. Never Print About Boxing Again!
