@j300mindstorms umm...on your Wii go to the Shop Channel, select Wii Channels and the Internet Channel should be there free for download. You don't need to follow this defunct guide.

Yeah they made an update to the internet channel so its free now. For the people who paid the 500 wii points, like me, they said at the end of October you will be able to buy any game you want thats 500 wii points. They also said they would send a letter about it later in October or something. But that made me really mad cause i bought it then it was free.

People who think this is a waste of effort: Downgrading and installing the Homebrew Channel also lets you install homebrew software programs such as dvd player and emulators (SNES games etc.). Definitely worth the 10 minutes it takes.

You can find emulators on the Homebrew Broswer (found in the homebrew channel). You'll have to find the roms (game files) online yourself. Google is your friend. The best games are protected and therefore hard to find. Hard is not impossible! The emulators work best with the classic add-on controller for the wii, otherwise, a Game Cube controller will do. Your console isn't blocked by Nintendo, but it will no longer be "virgin". Guides to reverse the effects are online, be careful tho!
