oooh... youre like half-brainwashed. the taliban did not fly the planes into the buildings. the taliban was pretty much the government (and those enforcing it) until 2001. now people that join it are mostly afghanis who believe its the right way of life. rosen even talks about how they're becoming more pragmatic and how its not so bad for people anymore. a large proportion of the population there would prefer them than the puppet democracy set up by the west anyways
@JakeBlues68 well its pretty easy, some people profit from wars, that's why there are wars. Technology might be advanced, but basic human nature hasn't changed. People are inherently selfish.
