  • Such a strange and unique brew of rhythm section on this tune. Killer snare-snap and wicked kick-drum and that bass, it's almost like the dude is playing backwards. Surprised? No. These cats always knocked funkified gems out the park. Ain't it good to ya....Hit it....Boom!

  • ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED BANDS OF ALL-TIME.A FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER OF A BAND.

  • At first i thought this is just an average meters tune (not bad by any means) but at 2:16 i couldnt stop jamming in my chair. I'm at work, should propably stop this, ppl give me weird looks :D

  • For all you youngsters out there,...The organ is clearly under the influence of the Great Jimmy Smith!

    Seekingtheone247

  • You know that organ is all Sam Henry!

  • You know that organ is all Sam Henry!

  • jnotheman has an interesting point without realizing it. Both Bonham and Meters drum master Zigaboo Modeliste were hugely influenced by New Orleans master Earl Palmer. Bonham's intro to Rock N Roll is admittedly pure Palmer. I have heard Modeliste speak about and demonstrate Palmer's influence on his playing as well at music clinics.

  • @hassledguy Intelligent comment on youtube for once!I've given you a thumbs up,son..

  • Sounds like John Bonham taught someone how to handle the bass drum :) This is damn funky! Especially the hammond organ which they use in a lot of their songs.

  • @tomthefunky Hahaha, relax mothafuckaaaah! It was a fucking joke. xD Jesus Christ I love when users on youtube just rage over a comment.

  • @jnotheman: And I love it when users on youtube think everyone is supposed to automatically "get" someone's particular sense of humor.

  • @tomthefunky Come on man. Some user already commented on this, certainly realizing it was a joke, but it's okay man I dont blame you :) It can be hard to understand jokes or irony on the internet :)
