I was at that game! Everyone went frickin' crazy. Sad to see Jay Bay go... he is probably regreting not taking the Red Sox deal. Him ad Joe Urbon just ran themselves into a corner and couldn't get out. They had to sign with the Mets, and now Jason's home runs will go way down. BTW I am a huge Red Sox fan so yeah... I'm excited to see Lackey and Scutaro next season, as well as Mike Cameron. But a person I really want to see on our team, at least by the trade deadline, is A - Gon. Great Hitter!!!

the sox need to re-sign this guy. they already blew it last off season losing teixeira to the yankees. they cant let something like that happen again. bays put up good enough numbers to get as much money as he wants. but if the red sox dont agree theyll probably end up losing him to the yankees and id hate to see that happen

good luck to you guys. bay hit .260 when fenway was his home field. imagine the drop in his average when he gets to citi field. and he might have a bit of trouble with all that space in left field

no question hell help out the team but wright and delgado will supply most of the power. and dont forget his home park was fenway last year and he produced a .260 average and 36 homers. left field in citi is a far cry from the green monster and those numbers are only going down over the next 4 years

i hear what your saying and your making a lot of sense but i think because he hit in PNC Park with power and still got high numbers of RBI'S thats why they got him..and remeber he really didnt have anybody to protect him in that lineup..now he does....and he's numbers might go up might go down well see..(i hope they go up)

fair enough. but its no surprise his career high in HRs came in boston. like you said hell probably be good for 20 or so homers in new york and with the rest of their lineup healthy thats still solid production

I know and he said that he said the reason he wanted to go to the mets is because he wanted to win. Last I checked the Red Sox were a winning team last year not the Mets. Seems to me that hes not to bright.

it was his first offseason as a free agent and he was using his career high numbers from last year to get the most money he could. the red sox opted to spend that money on lackey instead of bay so he went to NY. simple as that

It looks unlikely that Jason Bay (hamstring) will play in the final two games of the Red Sox/Yankees series.

"I wouldnt write it off," said Bay. "But, its kind of the same issue as in Tampa. I came back a day or two before I should have, and I set myself back." If the injury lingers longer than the Yankee series, the Sox might as well put Bay on the disabled list. The Sox outfield is very banged up at the moment.

Bay has made some great plays out in left that have saved the game, and that manny never would've made. The Red Sox would have to be crazy not to give him a contract extension.

I think Jed Lowrie and Jason Bay is our new Red Sox Combination...b4 it was Ortiz-Ramirez and Pedroia-Ellsbury...Now,it's Lowrie-Bay...on their first debut Bay scored the 2 runs both in the 1st and 12th while Jed Lowrie was d one who got these 2 RBI's for his Sac Fly on the 1st and his Infield Hit on the 12th...and on other games they both keep on hitting back-2-back!I'm their biggest fan
