Sometimes you don't see a lot of versatile music in Christianity, although God is soo creative ,for example, observe all the different fish he put into the sea. I am happy to see such a sound in the kingdom. The vibe puts me in the mind of Cider Sky (not a Christian band) Gungor, thank you for showing us another side of God's creativity.

I have nothing against anybody that believes they have found the God or religion that speaks to them, but it's never happened for me. However, this song has awakened a spiritual side of me I thought had died. You should really learn about music. each time they sing the phrase, its slightly different, whether by chord, the emphasized note, or power behind the voice and/or instrument. So that everytime, is a different impact. also, they alternate between the phrases of "you make beautiful things out of the dust" and "you make beautiful things out of us" the whole point is that dust is ugly, dirty, and overtime it just builds up and gets worse. God makes us beautiful.
@julicarole I agree, and I've actually been very involved in music for 10 years and understand why the song is popular. It is because of the chord changes, and the crescendo of the music that makes the song good in some people's opinion. And with the simple fact that they use that one phrase to make a hit song, I respect them for that. I just don't like it.. lol I meant no disrespect to them. I gotta say, these guys were probably my favorite of the night. Not to take anything away from the epicness that is POD, but i was just simply blown away by Gungor. It was the first time i had heard them and it was simply amazing.

At Purdue's Campus Crusade last Friday, they played an acoustic set with a bass, two acoustic guitars, a djembe, and a violin and this was one of the songs they did. Was pretty sweet!
I play violin so I get a lot of requests to play as a special guest at churches, especially when the worship leader wants to do a song like this that features a string instrument. So today I got invited to play this song at a worship service and had my first introduction to it (I play a lot of music by ear, so it's not uncommon for me to learn a song right before I'm supposed to play it, haha). I loved playing it and I love listening to it. The band blends together so beautifully!

Michael Gungor will be in concert at The 429 Garden Oaks Houston, TX on Aug 28, 2010. The concert is free. Doors open at 7pm, concert at 8pm. The 429 is lead by Jeremy Foster and is affiliated with Grace Church of Humble.
I was at a camp where they played this song once. For the rest of the two weeks we were all together, nobody stopped singing this song. And the best part was that nobody knew the lyrics, and nobody got tired of hearing it.
I never listen to the whole track on YouTube. I get the idea and then move on. I couldn't move on. This was amazing. You get it. And you share it. Wow.

So today I got invited to play this song at a worship service and had my first introduction to it (I play a lot of music by ear, so it's not uncommon for me to learn a song right before I'm supposed to play it, haha). I loved playing it and I love listening to it. The band blends together so beautifully!

I thank God for leading me to a more diverse side of him and his music. I grew up with gospel music but I now hear that there is more out there for me. Incredible Song! (can't wait to buy the album)

I was at a camp where they played this song once. For the rest of the two weeks we were all together, nobody stopped singing this song. And the best part was that nobody knew the lyrics, and nobody got tired of hearing it.

Wow...I love this so. That Olson is amazing sounding, Michael. Purely shows how great song writing holds up in all forms. I guess it helps to have perfect pitch, too. :) Thanks...oh, I agree with jaedee91...Gungor was the highlight.

@bumblebearsauce They are soooo goood!!! I saw them live in concert at this worship conference with Tim Hughes, they were sooooo musically inclined. Literally every one of them. I didn't know what to do with myself.
