This is seriously annoying. I really wish they'd fix it... Whenever you mouse away from the dock it demagnifies and moves the stack whether in fan or in grid mode. It should do the same thing as when you auxiliary click - freeze the dock in place! Come on Apple Engineers - fix it!!

List view does it the right way, but fan view keeps "dancing" for me
