An AK-47 or AR-15 isnt any less of an assault rifle because it doesnt have a 3 rnd burst or full outo trigger group. I have the option of a burst mode on my patrol carbine and I stick to the semi auto for a number of reasons and my carbine is just as if not more effective than anyone elses.

@OKCtactical Apparently "serious shooters" Love to pay 5 times more than thay need to... Sightmark makes a great magnifier for a fifth of the price.  have compared it to the EoTech and the EoTech looks better and has a better flip to side mount as opposed to the sightmark slide to side mount but the magnifier itself is comparable in magnification and in clarity. Mako looks a little cheap, but Vortex makes a great looking magnifier for less than half the price of the EoTech.

@OKCtactical were talking about a magnifier here... Im not paying for a 600 magnifier period... I would rather pay 700 for a 1-4X adjustable scope it makes more sense.. My sightmark cost me 120 and comes with a verry rugged slide to side mount... If I do somehow encounter complications with it, the mount is QD as well so you dump it in your dump bag and keep going call it a day. Id rather have a trijicon acog over a EoTech HWS and magnifier any day anyways...

you had to adjust your eotech after you put the magnifier on your gun? or you had to change the eotech after your movied it forward on the gun. Because thats two different things you are talking about. the velocity doesn't change unless you have a longer barrel or run hotter ammo. Moving the eotech foward shouldn't change by .5 unless you lock it on wrong. The magnifier has parallax by nature but you shouldn't notice. Pt of impact should be the same whether on or off. @marktse no disrespect, we're all learning here. First off the plug is the accuwedge and the wiggle is called slop. it should bother you much. I used to shoot quarters at 100 yds before i got one. as long as you have a good barrel tightened down to upper and the optics set, you will hit the same point of impact. trigger control is the most important thing. As for distance. sighting for 50 is the same as 200 yds, 100 is about an 1inch higher. leave it @50 and memorize your hold overs.

@aroccop basically if your like me and like the eotech as far back as it can go "like the iron sight" and you buy this you will need to adjust your eotech sighting. as well leave the eotech in the position to have same groupings. if you move it's position on the rails it will change where its hitting on the crosshair's. hard to explain but same aspect of sighting in a gun. but thats why most ar's have T-markings on the rails so if you remount optics and or swap optics you know where to remount

@aroccop a better explanation might be that by moving your EOtech its like manually adjusting all over again. but like nilla said it will throw off where the bullets hit and you will have to re-sight in your EOtech. but if you leave it forward on your rail and only move the magnifier there will be no need to readjust your EOtech :)

Can you tell me what accessories on that rifle are unnecessary? He's running a daniel defense free floated handguard that can both eliminate barrel harmonics and give the operator options for both Lights and grips. The EOTech gives the user a quick reaction advantage and the the magnifier increases distance quick acquisition.
