Its a separate game. A side-Story of what happened during Halo 2 in earth after The Prophet ship Slip Space. It has 1000 achievements like the previous game.

If you get all the Vidmaster Achievements(Halo 3 and ODST), You get the Recon Armor.

Well not necessarily. Achievements are there for replay value. Once you've passed the game on Campaign, what's there to do? Getting them is fun too, some of the stuff is challenging.

Plus It may be my OCD but I can't leave a game on my "Played Games" list knowing I don't have all the achievements. It bothers the hell out of me. Just knowing it's there incomplete. Same reason I had to have Recon, I don't use it. I just like knowing it's there. Too bad I won't me getting Flames anytime soon.
