  • @ Rorydog - o ok good to know, are you at least giving her food and water occasionally?

  • Anyone know what happened to the singer? She was a phenomenal performer.

  • @Butterflypoo shes in my basement

  • lol my college teacher was in Sunscreem :p

  • classic, i do think that sunscream was one of the most under rated dance acts of the 1990s they really should of been a world wide supper group of 90's dance

  • Awesome 90s memories but wow some of those lyrics are pretty disturbing

  • 03 - one of the best albums I've paid real coin for.

  • Wot a tune, maaaad memories are flooding back, those were the days

  • i like the music

  • I still own both the album and this single on cassette. I pray they never, EVER degrade.

    Cheers, all!

  • @yammie75 i love this music too!! i'mf from the bahamas and they dont play this kinda of music here...but i listen to all kinds of music form many different parts of the world

  • this is the first 'non-rock' concert I saw when I was 16.

  • This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo badass!

  • I feel like I'm 13 all over again singing in my room with my friends!

  • ive got the graeme park remix on dmc but ive not a clue how to upload vinyl. in fact ive only been at this laptop for a few wks. ishall do my level best to upload that and many other half decent records.

  • Brings back memories, love it

  • This song is absolutely brilliant! I remember being in high school, in Kansas, when it first came out. I was all over this song. And Lucia was (still is) totally hot! Sunscreem didn't get the recognition they deserved. IMO they are the best techno band, ever. How many techno groups have you ever seen incorporate guitar, bass, real drums into their music? Sunscreem did/does things for/with techno that no one else has even attempted.

  • I used to listen to this song when it first came out on this phantom radio station that only my car radio could pick up.

  • I'm 14 again and I love it!

  • Thumbs up if perez brought you here!

  • Always loved this song, but it has some of the most disturbing lyrics in it...

  • @ajax420336 Yep. I'm not sure if this version has it, but the original lyrics were, "Fathers rape their daughters". Brutal!

  • Rocks

  • OLD SCHOOL IS A HUNDRED TIMES MUCH BETTER THAN NEW.

  • Best. Song. Eva.

  • Uplifting trance from 1992...

  • 1991 - 1992 Fort Lewis, Wa. 2nd Bn, 75th Ranger Regiment, back when I was so young. I miss Washington state.

  • I saw this band at The Metro in Chicago in 1992, at age 14. My friends and I were really into Prodigy at that time, and Sunscream was an XL band, so we thought, "what the hell." It was a pretty impressive show. I went up to the singer who was at bar and said hello in only the way a 14 year old could. Fun night.

  • luv it

  • Astounding brilliance. I wish more people knew about this.

  • Shame there isn't a 'love it' button...

  • Most excellent

  • Always loved these guys.. their dance remixes were always brilliant.

  • tune. bring it on :-}cool dreds

  • tune. bring it on  :-}

  • "As fathers rape their daughters" It is a hook that turns a 'silly love song' into something more serious. Think of all the other things in the song that arn't important because 'she can't love him more'. Letting the wells run dry just doesn't hit the radar of US'rs and Euro's the way it would (and does) tribal folks in the sahara or any expanding desert area."All you need is love" doesn't cut it anymore.

  • Knew the song back in the day. Got the cd from some one who didn't like it. Bought it for 5 bucks and it was a good album. Its actually good.

  • The most imortant lryic...."as Father's rape their daughters!'

Has a lump in his troat as as loving father and takes 9mm and points it at all those who do this to their daughters who find this true!!!

  • I go out to work at night over these last few nights and it has been a full moon shining on my door. I can see a moon shadow as I lock the door. I look up at that and think... Some people think you are a myth. Then there's a load of hippies on magic mushrooms in a field rebelling. About thirty years ago slagging off research into drugs and technology, I bet they couldn't put a man on the Moon.

  • Had a right Sunday sesh sorry what time is it under a burka in Afghanistan?t .

  • I think Lucia Holm is sexy as hell!

  • Love it y'all

  • I like the way this song builds up momentum until 2:23 then it feels just like if I came, like i`m in another dimension. But that`s just me.

  • ..."watch the see the turn turtle"...<-that makes alot of sense,.."as father's rape their daughters"... ahhh good times :)

  • Jesus this takes me back to 1992 3 and 4 when i was 16 workin in funderland dublin for the dutch. they played this song all the time but a dance version and lot of 2 unlimited lol

  • this represents the "good times" with my mom.....all the nights we'd blast music from the surround sound system, this was our favorite to sing and dance to.

  • This track is the shit, because it absolutely is NOT a love song, but you only get that at the end, by which time, you are grooving yr ass off. Yikes, so awesome.

  • WHAT A Track!! Nicely Done!

  • This whole album was amazing

  • atleast 2 of the guys in this band are right this moment contemplating suicide in the toilets of the small offices they now work in because the other guys wont agree to a reunion tour

  • Electro Hippie Scum

  • This British chick has a RACK eh!

  • @rbs651 yea she did....this song is 13yrs or better old.....her tits have to be at her knees.

  • @munkefuk

I watched a video on here of her at some performance. I think it was just a year or two ago. She still looks good in that video.

    Regardless, I'm a male; hence a pig. I'd 'hit it' :0)!! HAAA!

  • never forget the night in the tunnel.... birthday party all those years ago...ya fukin beauty :-)

  • My all time favorite song. Remember seeing them at the Probe in LA and dancing in ecstasy to this song. When I close my eyes and hear this it all comes back to me.

  • I guess they love Music. I'm not complaining.

  • you can make the sea turn turtle??

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • One of my old favourites and a completely happy vibe - glad to haver found it again and play it every day!

  • You want to sue Basshunter.

  • LOVE THIS SONG! My dad uploaded it to my computer with a bunch of other stuff and when i found it i fell in love!! i even use it in my vids!

  • What the hell is "STEPS" and why are they getting all the credit for this song? And Basshunter too.... the original is the BEST!!

  • i love this song!

  • @xymoxer

    Me too!!!

This song makes part of my life!!!

    Amazing!!!!

  • Nice rack!

  • @mumphrey20: thanks for clarification on "turn turtle." Yes the lyrics are brilliant!

  • great song, saw them in Toronto supporting New Order in `93

  • Oh and I love the comment about the sea turning turtle being a stupid lyric and the lyricist just trying to find something to rhyme with "turn purple". "Turn turtle" is a phrase that means to turn upside down - like a turtle flipped on it's back, helpless...again with the abuse imagery...I think the lyrics are f*ckin brilliant...

  • I find the confusion of people about the lyrics on this one really interesting. To me the entire thing just screams of an adult daughter expressing her rage at her father over abuse. Listening to the lyrics from that perspective, they're actually quite dark, angry and poignant. A parent trying to "make" a child love them more and the contradiction of loving a parent who does something horrible - not to mention the bleak irony of setting the lyrics against a feel-good sound and a dreamy melody.

  • this sounds like steps: Love U More

  • @hmfrx This is the ORIGINAL. Steps sounds like Sunscreem, not the other way around.

  • i first heard this when i was a little guy. its stuck with me for like 15 years. i searched far and wide for this not knowing the artist or title. unbelievable song. you know its good when as a little kid you fall in love with it. btw, sick vid. miss those days of bleached blond hair. :(

  • This is still one of my favorite songs. Makes me think of dancing at the Probe in LA. Saw them perform there. Love to get lost in this song!

  • I love techno music from the early 1990's.

  • What a song! bought their album twice in the 90s and 2 different ex girlfriends managed to rob me of them! just ordered it AGAIN for the the 3rd time;-) fantastic to say the very least.

  • great song from 90's. danced a lot with this song. Thx for uploading

  • QUE RIIIIICCCCOOO WOOOHOOO...Mi Lindo, te estoy cojiendo tanto cariño!!!!

  • aaaaaah memories!!........the world has changed since clubbing to this.

  • Wow... blast from the past! This band was the bomb! And Lucia Holm was just gorgeous!

  • i see a lot of comments complaining about the lyrics - there is a point to the more outrageous or seemingly out-of place lyrics. The only important lyric is "you can never make me love you more". Picture someone in love enough to not care about anything else and be able to damn everything else for love - picture someone in love at their very limit, and being ecstatic about it and you'll understand that nothing else matters, fathers rape their daughters, sun turns purple, but her love is immense.

  • this is the original dance music or rave/techno euro whateva you wanna call it this is the beginning of it all along with SNAP!

  • lol was at the bcm same year seen josh wink oooft with the now missus never gave her 1 on the beach though lol

  • Basshunter killed this

  • noooo, cant believe basshunter's butchered this!!!

  • A fav of mine :D

  • I remember this song growin' up!!! I use to have it up loud on my 'lil mini stereo when I was like 10...Still retains it power and love it how it just builds and builds!!! Awesome!!!

  • Reminds me of coming of BCM' majorca in 92 , giving this bird one on the beach at 5am . Funny that we now married....?

  • o3 from 1993 absolutely brilliant album

  • A song and a mood from a time I have lost.

  • bloody love this song!!!

  • OMG THAT IS MY MUM it really is

  • This song always retains its power. It's as brilliant today as it was when it was released. More impressive to my mind is that I've never heard a remix that could top the original version.

  • @boyakasha777 Yes, unlike other sunscreem songs, the original was definitely the best one....:). I took to playing the hot tracks mix which features a lot of the original at my clubs.

  • @boyakasha777 you should look up the lost witness remix of this song...it actually rocks pretty impressively

  • "We can make the sea turn turtle...."

Okay it was good up to that point.

If you can't think of a good lyric for that verse just leave it blank.

    :)

    other than that great song!

  • what ryhmes with turtle...."???

  • you can make the sun turn purple,

you can make the sea turn turtle..

  • thats about it !well done sunscreem

  • to turn turtle: To turn upside down.

  • Elstak version has more to it, still a classic though

  • get a grip you twat

  • Real mature :3 Just my opinion, cock.

  • cock monster you said what?

  • How ridiculous- it has less lyrics and this one builds and builds more. Of course you might like the Elstak one more!

  • This was a fantastic band. Why in the world they never achieved success on the radio is beyond me. SOny really dropped the ball with them (at least in the US. Every new record they released in the 90's was an instant success regardless of the venue I was playing. Rollo's mix of "Exodus" was just plain mean, K-Klass's Mix of "When" was driving and got stuck in your head, never to leave...lol.

  • "Perfect Motion", and "Love You More" were instant classics, and a DJ's dream to play....flipping in and out of the many different versions of each one was a blast. But my all time favorite is Jimmy Gomez's Epic House Remix of "Looking At You." Its rare when a brilliant song is given to the right remixer who gives it a treatment that actually improves on perfection. I gave that one my "Record Of The Year" and "Remix Of The Year" for DMA Magazine. What an amazing song........

  • Lyrically their stuff was poetic moody, dark, tragic and yet somehow uplifting. Musically this band came up with some of the most memorable melodies in the last 20 years. It still bothers me when I think of how good this band was, and what little commercial success they attained. Sadly I guess I was right in an article I wrote for DMA detailing how the better bands with the most creativity and originality are rarely the ones with "hits." 90% plus of the time its the crap that sells the best

  • alot of ppl prolly think basshunter wrote this lol

  • a total blast so sad i forgot this for so long

  • I stll, after all these years find this song amazing.. Thanks for posting it..

  • booooooooooooooooring

  • I had the origial but some spik nicked it out my appartment in majorca 1990. B....ard. Got another copy HMV London. Took a bit of searching though.

  • u dont know anything about music im afraid..just go and eat a bacon sandwhich.

  • Bacon sandwich, always +1!

  • great song, but the "fathers rape their daughters" line always pulled me right out of the mood...

  • wkd

  • they used this song as background music on singled out when they were introducing the contestants for the keep em or dump em round. that's how i first heard this song.

  • Great summer sound track luv Sunscreem.

  • i have their CD and this CD single from back in the day. I remember them doing this on Arsenio(!) those were the days, huh? Beautiful song. One of the best of the 90's, no question. Where are they now?

  • One of my favorite songs. I wrote Paul from the group several years ago and he wrote a very kind letter back--all the way to Iowa. Made my day. I credit them for bring in Techno to the masses.

  • This is an all around feel good song that i can play over and over again and never tire of it; doesnt get much better than this folkS!!

  • this was the true beginning of the dance music (trance/techno/rave) revolution....sure was, this along with Snap was the beginning. love it

    san jose, california

  • @privatevinyl My sentiments exactly!!

  • @privatevinyl And do you know the lyrics??...."as fathers rape there daughters".......????????????...Feel good...WHAT??

  • Goddess Spice....any chance of posting Cyclic on here......I love helicopters....

    xxx

  • my dad is friends with these guys and one of the dancers tony worked for him also in one of their most recent videos it features their son and daughter that im friends with

  • she's hot too

  • Oh my, my. That is why 90's are unforgetable, we danced beautiful and logical disco music. This rythm easily beats actual sounds. Of course in my opinion Love You More, one of the best dance songs ever at any period and yeah!! also recorded it from AT40 and still have my casette as a valuable piece.

  • does anyone else remember this one when they used it as the intro to Melrose Place? when Heather Locklear dove into the pool?

  • Suddenly its my senior year in High school again! can't believe how this song brings back all the memories of 93. Looking back I can't believe how much the early to mid 90's still "looked" like the late 80! But this song wasy way ahead of its time,I remember laying out on the lake at spring break and hearing this for the first time and falling in love!

  • Мммммм...

  • i LOVE this song!

  • Brings back good memories of dancing all night long and having fun

  • Solarstone said on an interview that this tune is the best dance music 4 ever, in his opinion.

  • i love this song , i cant get enough of it.

  • harp 1994....anyone remember it ??? i remember mindin me little bro and him robbin a bird or 2 on me !!! anyway happy days....one of d best songs ever made full stop !!!

  • para mí, la mejor de ellos, que vacana!!!!

  • Hey everyone I just posted a video repsonse with my remix of this song. Hope it doesn't offend any long lived Lucia Holm fans just had a go at making it a little more modern see as though this tune is approaching 20yrs old! Feedback appreciated! Take a listen you might be suprised!

  • It hit me really hard in the last few days too, 17 years. I can't believe it. Such a wonderful song, amazingly created, sung & played, I love it so much. It's so beautiful. What takes a while to hit me each time I find this is it's great beauty + perfectness- 'you' can mean a person and can instead mean god: 'you can turn the water into wine... still you know you can never make me love you more.' It's so perfect it seems like sunshine + wisdom of god.

  • Wow! Hard to believe this was 17 years ago. This is one of the better dance/pop songs of the era, that's for certain.

  • 17 years - wow.

  • At clubdiva1975 - me too. Everytime I hear this I think of my girlfriend in 1992... ah the good times...

  • I get the same kinda feeling.

  • Hi apple....Tango here....my fave band.

    Lucia is a goddess

    xx

  • lets face it this is a monster ,a class above the average.

  • Still gives me chills and brings a smile to my face even after all these years!

  • I remember this; they used to play it on 97x-WOXY-FM...

It did and does, remind me a lot of Alison Moyet

  • Maybe this would kill the spirit of this video, but it would be funny (to me) if you could splice some of Beavis and Butthead dance moves into this video. I can just imagine them making fun of the dancing guys in this video.

I cant believe how much this reminds me of the spring of '93. Thanks revenant7605 for posting.

  • had this pop in my head this morning. classic little tune.

  • i have this on cassette!!!

  • i love that

  • lol ! me too !

  • Yeah, same here, recorded it from a radio broadcast of American Top 40. I never found a tape or CD of it.

  • That's such a great song that takes me back. I need to find the entire cd as all the songs are equally great!

  • memories... *sigh*... wish i were in high school again... everything was like spring then!

  • god i love this song!!!! memories of my uni days come flooding back, thanks for posting!!!!

  • This song really takes me back, in only the best way. I love her voice; I love the odd yet poignant lyrics; the ethereal, other-worldly haunt of the electronic music, all of it. Good show!

  • Great song!!

  • Awesome! Been trying to find this song for like 15 years. Just thought of it today, and found it so easily on Youtube.

  • maybe you can help me prima....i've been looking for a song by a group for even longer lol and i can't find it youitube or anywhere for that matter....it was just a common hit...the group was called one2one they are from sweden and the song was called 'memory lane' it wasn't a big hit and i've tried all the one 2 one and one too one but nothing shows up....any suggestions?

  • great song!

  • oh my god...........blast from the past, GREAT song, i love sunscreem. i remember gettin the album when it came out

  • I just LOVE how NO one has posted a BAD comment... This is just a GREAT VIDEO... No denying. I grew up listening to this. MEMORIES..... YES!!!

  • Actually the video is kinda tacky, even by 1993 standards, but I wish videos today were half as good as this and the song kicks ass, Love it.

  • This song with its haunting little melodic bit and her vocals...was not only ahead of its time, but also summed up its own era. It reminds me of the Britain I miss.

  • British... sunscream used to top Graham Deans countdown in the UK... synonymous to the Top 40 of the USA.

  • love this song, cant help listening it over and over again. reminds me of crazy club days!!!

  • Somebody turned my sea into turtle just the other day. Can I get a hand turning it back so it isn't turtle anymore? I'm just glad nobody hung or quartered my sex.

  • doesn't turn turtle in this context mean turn upside down? like when a car turns turtle, it means it flips over.

  • I had never heard that expression before in all of my 30+ years, but I am also an underread Yank, so I am pleased to learn the origin behind that line in this song (which I love, in spite of making a little fun of the lyrics.) Makes significantly more sense. A British expression, perhaps? Aussie?

  • could be. just googled the phrase now and it seems that it was used originally for ships that capsized but now applies to any vehicle in the same position. i still don't know what it means to have your sex hung, torn, and quartered though. :)
