Yes some bacteria need a host like for example the symbiotic bacteria in the termites guts or the nitrogen fixing bacteria in the legumes roots, but there are so many free living bacteria out there like the cyanobacteria, and yes there are some parasitic ones too.

Any time I hear of astronomical phenomenon that aren't feasible (Real Astronomers laugh at the idea of "Nibiru"), I have to scoff at stuff. You can see Jupiter in the Sky right now, and it's further away than this Planet X would have to be for it to possibly get anywhere near us by 2012. Trust me, if it were there, we'd already see it- unless it absorbs light too *rolls eyes*. Unless Nibiru is an asteroid, it would be a small one though, certainly not living up to your expectations.

@undercoveralien yeah wasnt that supposedly where the bible story of the woman turning into a pillar of salt came from? people said to be "vanishing", things falling from the sky that humans hadn't seen or could contend with. and to this day there's still dangerous amounts of nuclear readings or something in waters near the red sea that date back to like ages ago. sorry im only starting to read about this today, but i have a good understanding of the bible..this stuff is so so interesting.

FYI the Mahabharatha describes a phenomena which describes the effects of a nuclear device to a T.
It also descibes an advanced form of airbourne transportation and its power source.
But in all fairness to the originators, how would a caveman describe a flying machine when he doesn't even know what metal is?
