  • OK that Muppet Babies sequence is absurdly cute.

  • Muppets takes Manhattan was pretty sweet.

  • 9:02 Gene got BURNED!

  • worst all-star cast film ever. all familar and great people doing pointless stuff

stars: rat pack: frank, dino, sammy, shirley maclaine; reynolds, deluise, merilu henner, jamie farr, abe vigoda, jack elam, sid caesar, foster brooks, tim conway, don knotts, tony danza, telly savalas, louis nye, doug mcclure, jim nabors, george lindsay, mel tillis, ricardo montalban, ms universe shawn weatherly, richard kiel, alex "moe greene" rocco. among others.

    what a COMPLETE WASTE!

  • @ashcarl116

    All of them completely wasted.

  • Cannonball Run 2 was such a pointless sequel, the first one was a classic, but part 2 is like a poor recycled of the first one.

  • I liked the first Cannonball Run actually, but I was 10.

  • Sisters Betty & Veronica? Where's Archie?!?

    No wonder CBR2 stunk!

  • In This Clip, From 0:00 To 2:31, It Was "At The Movies With Gene Siskel And Roger Ebert" Video Open From January 1, 1984.

  • In 1984 nobody thought anything of it, but in 2010, the scenes of Dabney Coleman's cigarette smoking would've gotten "Muppets Take Manhattan" a PG-13.

  • @BTLemming Ain't that the truth! It trips me out when you look at the reasons for a movie's rating and smoking's on the list.

  • Who did Burt Reynolds have to blow to save his career after Smokey &the Bandit 2 and Cannonball Run?

  • smoking in a muppet film

  • siskel and ebert and the 80s

  • Siskel's consession briefcase = badass

  • That was a great scene with Piggy interacting with fellow Muppet Joan Rivers

  • @TrollCapAmerica LOL!!!!

  • Gene calls him "Ron" at the end of this, a snipe for Roger saying he would fit in with the Muppets..?....lol

  • R IP Gene!

  • Roger's comment about Gene being in a group with the Muppets was super awkward.

  • Have you been able to upload the 2nd part, yet? I'd love to see the "Last Night at the Alamo" review.

  • I first saw Muppets Take Manhattan when I was about 16; with no memories of ever seeing it as a child and I can still confidently say that it is one of the funniest films ever made.

"You can keep the skates...I just like running around in shorts."

  • God i hate the cannon ball run movies there just not funny, there depressing, especially when you look at all the talent involved, its not right man.

  • @xcb15 The first one had a few mildly amusing moments but the main problem with the early 80s Burt Reynolds car-chase flicks was that people were starting to realize that Burt and his co-stars weren't taking their acting or their careers seriously anymore. At some point they stopped being fun and started being just a bunch of movie stars having a good time and collecting an easy paycheck at our expense.

  • Yeah, I still can't believe Dom Delouise just died T____T

  • Whoever they are? What are you, twelve years old?

Oh, and since we're on the subject (sort of), R.I.P. Dom Deluise.

  • Which part?

  • Funny that Siskel mentioned TMTM is a good film to take your child to for the first time. This was the first movie I ever saw in the theatre.

  • thanks for posting! I sure miss these guys

  • 1984 was a great year in cinema

  • Muppets Take Manhattan was one of my favorite childhood films!
