I always liked Scott Steiner, even back in WCW days.. on another note. It pissed me off how they handled Goldberg in the WWE. HE brought a SHIT TON of people to the crowds and people tuned in every week to see him... 2003-2004 were the best days of WWE... =(
As much as I don't like triple h, it's Scott Steiners fault that his wwe career tanked, he should have stayed in shape instead of showing up slow and full of ring rust. But old Trips is not without guilt for the flop that was his 2003 title reign. he was never over enough to be the face of a brand or have 9 month title reigns, and choosing opponents like Steiner or Kevin fucking Nash didn't help, that hell in a cell at bad blood was horrifying.
The only person, i think, that triple h dropped the belt too was goldberg because he was the only one of the very few people in wcw that was truly over that went to wwe.

Not only is Steiner a botchmaster, WWE tried to push him as a face when he has ALWAYS been a natural heel. Shit, the fans were booing HIM when Triple H is supposed to be the heel at this event.
HHH has a bad reputation, regardless of that inside a wrestling ring he is talented. I remember the steiner hhh feud and steiner botched a lot it was after this feud that steiner was demoted to mid card because obviously wwe felt as a main event star he could not go. His matches with hhh were bad. Nash was also exposed and injured pretty much all the time during this period. It was as if all the WCW main event stars were being exposed. Only booker T went on to have a proper long run in wwe.

It doesn't matter who HHH "wanted" to drop the title to. Vince McMahon was and still is the boss, and Vince has the final say on everything, including who gets the titles and who doesn't. Scott Steiner REALLY needed to go back to the midcard and stay there...or be released. He was getting booed by most of the crowd even whe. he's a face going against the top heel in the company. And it's not like Cena where half the crowd booed and the other half cheered just as loud if not louder. No one really cared about him. WWE mishandled his push all the way. They didn't even really build Steiner up before shooting him to the top of the ladder.

Scott Steiner REALLY needed to go back to the midcard and stay there...or be released. He was getting booed by most of the crowd even whe. he's a face going against the top heel in the company. And it's not like Cena where half the crowd booed and the other half cheered just as loud if not louder. No one really cared about him. WWE mishandled his push all the way. They didn't even really build Steiner up before shooting him to the top of the ladder.

I'm an American. Scott Steiner was idiot that night in Montreal. Steiner is suppose to be the face, the crowd favorite and he comes out with a #1 red blue white USA tights. Thats not being a crowd favorite, thats being an idiot. Steiner deserved that lost at No Way Out.

They were booing Steiner cause no one wanted to see him in the fuckin main event after his horrible match at the Royal Rumble. Just watch Botchamania 101 and Steiner's "highlights" of tripping on his own feet, collapsing from fatigue, the EIGHT overhead suplexes, his purple thong, not knowing how to bump correctly...WWE did the right thing by putting him on the lower midcard after these two junk matches.
